  • Learning and understanding the clutch control step by step for every learner is a must. This clutch control must be fully explained to the learner and it must be fully understood by the learner, because without the clutch control fully explained a learner will struggle on junctions, parking and in most of the case in driving. Just knowing the clutch control a little is not enough, but must learn to master the clutch control fully. Only then one will learn to drive smoothly.

This video will help all learners who needs to learn clutch control or who needs to know how to practice clutch control so they can master the clutch control. Clutch control step by step fully explained in the video.
Clutch Control for most learners is the most difficult part for any learner in the beginning and clutch control is the most important part of driving when learning in a manual car. Without clutch control moving off on hills, dealing with junctions, reversing, parking, coming out from a tight space and most of other part of driving.
Clutch Control is the key when it comes to learning in a manual car, and this is when this video comes in with clutch control step by step.
Practice Clutch Control Step By Step
Find a hill and park your vehicle with a long stretch of space ahead. Then put the clutch down, first gear and give a little gas taking the rev to 1500. Then bring the clutch up around halfway until the biting point. Feel the biting point and get to know the biting point is the key. Few ways you’ll know when you reach the biting point is when the bonnet of your vehicle raises up a little and the sound of the engine will change a little.
Once you reach the biting point - keep your FEET STEEL, both. So Left feet on clutch at the biting and the Right feet on gas with 1500 rev. Then hand on handbrake, lift it up a little and press the button and hold. Then release the handbrake REALLY SLOWLY and see the vehicle stays steel. If it’s at the biting point then the vehicle shouldn’t move forward or backward. So the reason you release the handbrake slowly is to see if the vehicle is at the biting point. So as you release the handbrake slowly and you feel the vehicle wants to go backward then adjust the clutch by lifting up a little and if the vehicle wants to move forward then adjust the clutch by press the clutch down a little. Once you’ve got the adjustment right and the vehicle is at the biting and it’s not moving forward or backward then keep FEET STILL because that’s the biting point. Then just practice the clutch control by little up the clutch a fraction which will make your vehicle go forward slowly then the clutch down a fraction to biting point which will keep your vehicle stay steel and that’s how you do clutch control.
Practice this few times or even many times until you MASTER BITING POINT and CLUTCH CONTROL!

I’d just like to thank Abdul for his time with me. I have just passed my driving test and couldn’t have done it as quickly as I did with him. The way he teaches is brilliant, he explains everything simply so that it is easy to remember and understand. He is very patient and remains calm even when mistakes are made. I can’t sing his praises enough and would recommend that if you do have the opportunity to be taught by him, do so. His tuition is worth every penny! I have had 2 other instructors that didn’t work as well.
I wish him all the best with both driving instructing and also his bright future on CZcams.

Thanks for the explaination. I have no problems driving a manual but pulling out of extremely tight spaces makes me very nervous, i.e. if I have biting point too high I could crash into the front car or too low it will roll back into the rear car. Finding the holding point is key. I like to move the clutch up until I feel something but not so much that the bonnet raises too high, then slowly moving down the hand brake until im confident i have the holding point, then I can concentrate on my observations, modulate the clutch and pull out safely.

Wow I went through so many videos to learn how to use the clutch, this one was definitely the best , the thing with my car is that the clutch biting point isn't in the middle it's slightly at the bottom quite tricky anyways great video. Subscribed!
