Michael had the best technique in the last corner. He uses almost none of the exit run-off! Massa had the worst technique to my eye. Alonso with a huge mistake. Kimi sensational all-round given he went out first.
Seeing what kimi did in 06 quali there its almost a certainty that kimi would've bagged pole here had he gone out much later. By how much idk but probably by quite a distance
No wonder MSC and Kimi were the speedster of 2000s ( Michael 96-2002) Raikkonen (2003-2009) , i Heard they both praticted slick tyres on rainy conditions
I think so but not optimally The Red Bull's from 2018-21 would've suited him more He would've also struggled even more with the RB18 than Max did at the start of 22
Track evolution needs to be factored more than fuel loads. Going out first vs going out last was worth 1 second. Alonso: Unknown - he lost his front wing on lap 1 Raikkonen: Lap 11 Trulli: Lap 13 Michael Schumacher: Lap 15 Montoya: Lap 22 Montoya had 11 laps more fuel = Roughly +0.600 disadvantage. But JPM had a 1 second advantage from Kimi going out first (backed up by Allen in the video). He should have had a -0.400 to -0.500 advantage over Kimi in qualifying. But Kimi was a mere tenth behind. Fuel adjusted, and track evolution adjusted, Kimi was -0.300 faster than him. That's not including likely synergies from feeling more confident with the car had he gone out later in the session.
3:28 is what ciaron wants you to see 🤣🤣🤣

do you think the rb19 would’ve suited kimi

Do you know what the fuel loads were for the drivers?
