- The Lexus LC 500 is a perfect blending of two worlds. Under the hood is a 5.0L V8 pumping out 471 HP& mated to a 10-speed auto. It's exterior looks like it's a rolling concept car with the interior of a luxury car. This LC 500 has the performance package which comes with items like a carbon fiber roof & active rear spoiler. Is the 2019 Lexus LC 500 the best luxury sports car for the money?

These really stand out form the crowd. There is one in the parking lot at my work. Makes beamers look like trash.

With so many manufacturers putting in turbo charged engines, it's nice to see a naturally aspirated V8. I saw one in person on Saturday night. It's stunning in person. It sounds amazing as well.

This car totally shifted my attention from a mustang. The interior is so therapeutic idk maybe it’s the color and the leather. And the sound on the v8!

That makes no sense. They are in totally different classes. You can get like 4 Mustang GTs for the price of this.
@@islandknight6105 Actually it's more like two.... the GT premium goes for an average of 40k to 48k (At least were I live) and the LC he is driving goes for 95,000.

This is truly the one to buy, at least until the LC-F comes out. Arguably the top 3 in its class. The engine perfectly matches the looks!

The thing with lexus is that they "can" build better cars than anyone else, they just dont always want to. They do build more reliable cars though.
No one wants this car. Sales are horrible and depreciation has been at record levels for Lexus.

Compared with any other Lexus of the last 20 years. Lexus has cut production twice for the LC.
Buyers can have a used LC for 60k with less than 15000 miles.
None of this is a secret. The numbers don’t lie.

Yes we are looking at a future classic folks, investment grade. Great camera work here Tom; and smart narration Joe, but as far as Zonking (is that a word) the exhaust tips, I think the designers concluded that was the most tasteful approach
Pretty good review. I looked for a new car that would excite me for over three years with price being (almost) no factor. Nothing at all came close until one day, parked in front of a local restaurant, I saw this (exact) car in InfraRed with Toasted Caramel. My knees buckled. Finally!! This is what I was looking for. It's simply a exquisite machine. Inside and out it has everything that gets my heart pumping. So, I bought one. Living in California and knowing at my age that having a rear wing, four wheel steering and all the race car stuff wasn't practical. I simply wanted a very nice car to drive. When you live in the S.F. Bay Area and own a car with super large wheels and painted on tires, it's only a matter of minutes until you hit a pothole and trash one or more wheels. I opted for the 20" wheels, carbon fiber roof, LSD, Alcantera seats and quite a few other options that made sense for me. After a year, knock on wood, my wheels are still in perfect shape. The car is a joy to own and drive. The one thing I am not crazy about are the organic brake pads which are very dirty and dusty. The Enform infotainment system is super once you learn it and become familiar with the VOICE COMMAND feature. Lexus also can install Apple Car Play on the "older" LC's (2018) for $200 which I have done already. Honestly, the car is underpriced. Once you drive it, you will agree. Everything is first class AND you get the comfortable feeling that it is not a German car and therefore won't cost you half your brokerage account to keep it on the road. These are very reliable cars and the parts are well made, not total junk like many other makes. When you see an LC500 in person, you just might agree with me...there is nothing else that even comes close.

Hope Lexus does make an LC-F as I've heard many say that this is a baby LFA. Hope the LFA makes a return too. I know I won't be owning either of them but it would be nice to see them.

I’m a seventy five year old Englishman and after a lifetime of driving sensible saloons & SUV’s recently treated myself to my first performance GT and I just love it, at the time of writing there’s only 435 LC500’s in the UK so she gets plenty of looks.

Fabulous car! Personally I found the performance much better than I'd originally imagined, going off the reviews. Really though, it's a performance GT car and not a sports car, per se. Interior is exceptional.
Another good review though; love the format and 'on the fly' approach..

Zonk the top plastic portion of the rear tail lights. In person the horizontal top section feels cheap.

I’m coming out of a 2016 BMW 640 Grande Coupe... another great and sexy body... studied the hell out of the LC. Nothing on the market other then the Ferrari Portofino... (different price point!) that I find so elegantly designed.
The 8 series proportions are not as elegant as the outgoing 6... just too clunky.

The comment regarding snow is pretty funny. When I asked for a test drive of the LC500, I was told that it would be OK as long as there was no snow on the day of the ride.
