Back in the day, when Capcom used to be drenched in GREATNESS! I really miss this sort of art direction, which is very old school Capcom-y. Basically, lots of use of a mutitude of colors to accent backgrounds, foreground, set pieces, and such. Very colorful games, everything fromt his, to Mega Man X, to Breath of Fire to Demon's Crest. I wish more games, nowadays, would do that kinda thing. We are in dire need of more colorful art styles in games.
This is the first time I saw and fell in love with Psylocke.
Imagine what it would be like to play as Storm. Scrolling through sky and throwing lightning bolts at a flying sentinel!

One of my favorites in my childhood
I love how much they strained to put Wolverine by himself in sullen pouty corner all by himself. Storm, Jubilee, heck even Bishop all made sense to go up to him first of the ones that were there. Heck you don't even see Storm with anyone, that's how much they knew that needed to make Wolvie out to be a loner.
Fun fact. The sprites for each character and some sound affects were reused all the way until the creation of MVC2.

Somebody in the Capcom office must have stumbled across the 1989 NES version and decided to finally do the x-men brand justice.
I was like, finally and X-Men game were you can use your mutant powers as much as you want without draining any life or power bar.
I actually bought this three days ago and it took. Three days best watching this lol shows me everything I did wrong lol but I enjoyed playing

Yea. Or better yet, make a newer version of both this & X-men2 Clone Wars for newer consoles. Better graphics, a new story line. multi-player option, new moves, & an expanded roster of playable characters would be awesome.
Can you picture it, how the graphics would look.. Logan taking on a sentinal God of war style.
The storyline is fine. To change it... it wouldn't be X-men anymore.
X-men have multiple story lines. So there's no real story line that makes something "X-men" or not. And the story line needs to change if they are remaking the game, to distinguish it from the old game. It can be minor changes, but they should improve the experience.
I remember when my dad give this game it was so amazing to me and I can believe my dad give some because he have a hard heart ❤
Can we take a moment and appreciate that Beast punches heavy cased robots with just his fists. Even wolverine does so with his claws in mind, but just raw fists? 😱

I played Wolverine in the lava stage and found a secret passage.
Wolverine has an attack that requires you to do the dragon punch motion. Also, as you jump forward press down + attack button. Not sure if a lot of people knew about it
I enjoy hearing the scary Magneto music. It should be used, when the world comes to an end. Armageddon.

That part where the player couldnt jump to get the X as Wolverine was because there is a jump dash skill that was not performed!
I loved this game as a kid lmao
Noticed that whoever was playing wasn't using Psylocke's flipping kick...while jumping, pressing down and attack when landing on somebody and she does this flipping kick where you can steer her through the air and land on other enemies with the same attack...
I remember I got to finish it by doing it all. He missed a few things with Wolverine. Love this game
On the Cyclops level, I use the Eye Blaster, all through the end.
I can see those mega man x and street fighter 2 traits on this game as to why it's a capcom game lol

Anybody notice that Beast is just Blanka from Street Fighter 2 with a color change? Same moves.

Genesis had it's advantages as well as their disadvantages. I grew up on Sega, but I still enjoy the Super Nintendo for what it was.

Psylocke could jump on enemies and had a knee atack (shoryuken commands), Gambit could throw 3 cards at once. Powers you didnt use at first. :p
beast could also jump on enemies (down+attack)

the player is good, didn't use all of the moves. Psylocke has a kicks that is bad ass where she dose a neck breaker in the air. similar to beast how he uses a sit move in the beginning of his stage. Wolverine that a claw thrust in the air and finally a move where gambit throws 3 cards at once. not necessary moves, yet much easier to pass with those moves

Naw it was pretty tough at points from what I remember as a kid.. I was absolutely fun but it did have it times where it pissed me off too 😆

I always wondered why they didn’t come up with a sequels for the other XMEN on the Blackbird. Rogue has never gotten justice. Even in the fighting games, she wasn’t a very even character and not the most user friendly either.
