    I love how you show to craft within budget. Far toany, myself included gets frustrated until we figure out or find someone else who budget crafts on a dime. Thanks again for a fantastic video. 😍😘🥰

      Thank you Tina, I will keep trying to think of ways for people to save money and to creatively craft...that should be a catch phrase! lol

    I've got to say, I found you just as entertaining as your video. After a strenuous 2 hours of watching mundane videos of how to make my own stencils, I found you. I had a good giggle, thank you. Now all I need to do is get someone's son to 'borrow' a sign for me! 🤣 x

    What a cool idea! I often see images in magazines that would make great silhouettes and this would be perfect for that...and...bonus......you end up with a mask .......and a stencil! You are clever and humorous! Thanks for sharing your time and talent!

      @@lindaohrn8946 That’s for the very nice words! I’m not sure what brand that I used. It was the cheapest that the store had. I’m sure any sort of wood burner would work, as long as it has a decent tip. I’m not at home at present, but I’ll try to find out for you when I do get home. Thanks so much for watching! :)

    But you're breathing plastic fumes. That's not good. Maybe turn a fan on to blow across the piece while you work.

    • @eclecticmarty
      @eclecticmarty  Před 2 lety +4

      Always work in a well ventilated area. Crafting has hazards of many sorts from glue fumes to heat gun burns. It is up to you to work safely, or to make the choice not to do the craft. You can also purchase a cricut to cut these items or purchase the stencils online. Happy crafting!

      Yes, anything that emits fumes should be done outdoors. Living in Minnesota, I have to divide my crafting to hot & cold weather. In the winter, indoors I do art journals with acrylic paints, napkins & safe glues. It's a good time to organise your stash. In the Spring, Summer, Autumn I head outdoors to sand & paint and top coat wooden or metal crafts. Even then I wear a mask for safe breathing. I love to be outside and would rather hold a paint brush than a broom!

    • @eclecticmarty
      @eclecticmarty  Před 2 lety

      I’ve never tried it on contact paper. It is a lot thinner and could be back with flammable adhesive. Just use an abundance of caution if you try it.

    Cool but 1 question how is it that the plastic not catching fire ..

    • @eclecticmarty
      @eclecticmarty  Před 2 lety

      The tool only melts the plastic. And you are not leaving it in one spot long enough. This isn’t a craft that is suggested for unsupervised children, or anyone not able to understand or follow directions. Also, again, you must use caution and work in a well ventilated area.
