  • Nik's review of the Ducati Multistrada 950 S leaves us with the question: What is the Ducati Multistrada? a touring bike, a sports tourer, an adventure bike.. let's find out.
Nik compares the Ducati Multistrada 950 S to the Triumph 900 Pro and the BMW 850 GS due to its price range of around £12,500.

Nick, I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation- well filmed, edited, funny and informative. You captured the Ducati passion on camera and weren't afraid to call out the low speed clatter and voice your initial scepticism. This is the best Multi Strada review I've come across. You won me over as a subscriber, tingly balls and all. 😅

Just a note that the Multistrada 950 and 950s was replaced by the V2 and V2s in the mid/fall of 2021. I do not agree on the finishing, it is the same as the 1260 with the bigger more adventure 19 inch front wheel (same as the 1260 Enduro), and the smaller very respected 937cc engine. As for finishing I think she is at the level of BMW GS possibly better in some areas.... The 950 does like a couple some minutes (2 to 10 mins depending air temperature) to warm up, to get going but after that it is like butter in both engine and gearbox. One note is that it likes to go 3000 rpm and or higher especially once you go above third gear, reviews are saying the new V2s which is more or less the same is a bit better in this regard in both engine and gearbox. I have mine since a couple of months and am super pleased with it. coming from previous Harley and a Moto Guzzi.

It will obviously seem high quality coming from a harly and moto guzzler! Love ducati's but they are no where near as well built and reliable as BMW (or most others) you clearly lack frame of reference.

@@stuwhite1969 A friend has a 2020 F850 GS. always garaged kept with about 5k kms and his forks are already pitting. Is that you mean by well built. I will speak about the reliability of the Ducati after some years, though a friend of mine has a standard MTS 950 with 80k km and no trouble whatsoever.

@@PowerYacht maybe not "well built" just better built.
Buy the way I love Ducatis and have owned lots, and they are better than they used to be. But they still have more issues relatively speaking than other brands
