OMEGA SEAMASTER PROFESSIONAL Calibre 1538 with a broken battery terminal - Movement service

Hello and thanks for stopping by,
Today we have a Omega Seamaster watch that doesn’t start with a new battery, problem was an unusual one where the terminal had broken from its connection to the circuit and was just hanging on. Due to this there isn’t a constant power supply and so the watch won’t run. New circuit was required to start the watch together with a full movement service to clean the old oil residues and any dirt or debri within the movement and fresh lubrication. I don’t understand why watches like this command such high prices when quartz movements are so inexpensive to produce. Automatic,self winding watches prices make some sense because of the tiny delicate mechanical parts.

theres a difference between a high quality grade and a mass produced plastic non serviceable movement. both quartz and mechanical. theres a difference between a high quality vehicle and a mass produced cheap vehicle. why is a porsche 911 so expensive when it takes you to point B just like a toyota could. why pay for a glock when you can get a hi-point that shoots the same bullet.
materials used and production quality control is why you pay premium for products that serve the same function as a cheap toyota, hi point, and plastic quartz movement.
