Just before Ethan and Jack left this channel there was a poll on the community page (now removed) asking what content we all want to see from Car Throttle going forward. The highest answer by far is exactly the content this channel no longer makes. What did they think was going to happen to views

So it would've basically been like every other 911 before it? This was always the natural evolution without going full electric, done a decent job tbh compared to how bad it could've gone.

How many of these hybrid cars will still be around in 15 or 20 years time? The electronics are going to fail eventually and I suspect there won't be too many spare parts around. Maybe the way forward is to start planning to convert them fully to ICE and analogue systems when the electronics/software pack up (probably the day after the warranty expires). Just take a decent chassis and bodyshell and replace the rest. What a waste.....
Usually spare parts will be manufactured for at least 10 years after end of production. I wouldn't worry about Porsches especially since the company is very good at keeping their cars on the road, more than 70 per cent of all Porsches ever built are still on the road.
Imagine not listening to your staff that was all the reason for the channel to exist in the first place and now you fall down from 400k+ views to 19k. Was it worth it guys?

As a turbo s and gt3 owner, yes but it’s not their fault. They gave to comply with updated emission rules.
Whenever I see a 992 on the road all I can think about is how fat it's gotten well at least by look. I have never driven any 911 and probably never will and I'm 100% sure it always was and always will be an awesome car even when they switch to 100% electric it will somehow still be a 911. People always hated on the new ones but they keep selling so who am I to judge. I will never be able to afford one anyways and even if I could I would buy an old one anyways, not because it's better (it probably isn't) but because I want an old one.
Porsche did, and the GT team didn't
Quite telling that nobody really wants the regular cars anymore, or at least not the most enthusiastic crowds wants 911s, while everyone wants anything with a GT badge at the end (or an S/T). The S/T being marked up to twice it's 300k USD MSRP and still having waitlists for it
If you judge the 911 by what it's been historically, then yes, it went from a sportscar to a fat and comfortable GT, but Andy Preuninger and his team still makes proper 911s
At least with the base-ish 911s complying to current fuel efficiency and emissions standards we can still have the GT team do their magic and make the cars we really want to own
The base cars are still great. The GT products will probably help to sell them aswell.

the point of the video is to showcase the new electric technology in the 911, not to convince you to buy the car, ever heard of a review? its an impressive feature from the engineering point of view, but i dont blame you if all you care about are shitty cars, annoying forced laughter and shouting. you have other channels to watch if you cant appreciate more than that.

How can a video be boring if have not seen it😂 the chanel is different but certainly is not bad. It's very very odd that the former host left due to lack of funding for project cars but they can now pull off vids with tracks closed for filming while having 10% the views
