  • In this video I unbox Dewalt's all new DCF850 impact driver. This is Dewalt's smallest impact driver to date. I also show you how it compares in size to Makita, which are pretty small impact drivers in my opinion.

    I have the Makita XDT16 and absolutely love it!!! I built a house with it and it did everything I asked it to do. Makita may not be the fastest but the precision and quality is more important to me than driving a screw in 1 second!!! Thanks for the review

      I couldn't agree more. I'm waiting for a really good deal on the xdt16 because that is my favorite impact driver from what I've seen. To what you just said, that is why I tell people in my opinion that's the best one on the market. Thank you for watching.

    I ve seen many videos of dewalt vs milwakee vs Makita and many others the difference is slight you buy a quality product from quality brands I just got my dcf 850 I wanted 860 it was cheaper but I am a f4cking professional I wont think about money for tools that makes me money and do my life easier so 850 because it's more compact small fits almost everywhere as for the speed and power too much power I doubt if I ever need lvl 3 and how I end up with dewalt my father got in 2012 or 11 a dewalt drill with 1 battery 5ah and the charger close to 500 euros now they are way cheaper 2022 I still open holes in walls the battery ? One lvl per month without daily use ofc I want to say that the battery after all these years is in good shape thats why dewalt and what I ask is a good battery that if I work hole day I won't have a problem and never had

      I see level 2 as the perfect one for my needs and don't see level 3 needed unless I'm going to be driving lags, but at that point I've got the impact wrench. Yes, batteries are what stop me from buying what every brand I want. To much money to invest in multiple battery's for all tools IMO and I've also found Dewalt batteries to be pretty reliable. Thanks for the info and for watching.

      Thank you. I agree. I didn't even know about the 840 till like a week after the 850 dropped at the Depot. I find it so odd that the 850 was promoted so heavily and I didn't hear anything about the 840 which appears to be a better overall impact from what I've seen as well. Wasn't the 840 also going for $99 as a Kit? Thanks for watching.

      @@tgltoday2717 Yes the 840 comes in several kits if you can find them. Around my area I had to hit up several Lowe's to find one. I wanted the dcf840c2 for 99 that comes with the 840 charger bag and two 1.5ah batteries. Couldnt find any in stock. What I managed to find was the dcf840e1 for 169 that included the 840 charger bag and a new powerstack battery. Love it so far.

    • @theripper121
      @theripper121 Před 2 lety

      @@tgltoday2717 I'm a relative new comer to 20v power tools so you will have to take what I say with a grain of salt but I have been heavily invested in the initial promotions and initial reviews of the batteries by others. For me it seems to be a real interesting budding tech.
      As of right now I have limited experience running an 840 impact driver and 921 impact wrench using 1.5ah, 5ah and the 1.7ah powerstack batteries. For my general use so far has seemed to mirror reviewers in that the powerstacks def seem to be able to push out the power similar to a 5ah or so battery and are not susceptible to bogging down like you can have with a low 1.5ah or 2ah battery but they certainly will not last as long. Their size and weight are impressive. They are certainly compact. I think they will really start to shine when Dewalt makes them in packs larger than 1.7ah. Currently I don't think I would invest in one at current pricing for 120 for 1 but I would certainly look into more of them if they are packed into more bundles like I got where cost of entry is a bit lower.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 2 lety

      Yes, you can get the DCF840 which is the single speed and came out pretty much at the same time as this 850 did. You can use any size Dewalt 20v battery you want on either of them. The smallest I have is a 1.5ah and that is what I typically use with this impact when I'm using it unless it goes dead. Then I go to 5ah. I wish I had a few 2ah batteries as those are my favorite size to use on impact drivers.

      @@EireFirst2024 🤣 funny indeed. For what I use impact drivers for, I like the small lighter feel to them and I always have access to a charger for the most part where I don't need a 5 or 6ah batter to make it through the day. I usually can just grab another one. I wish I had the 2 ah's you are picking up, my 1.5's I have don't have gauges on them so I never know where they are at. My 4ah has the 21700 cells in it so its bigger then the normal 5ah that came with the 850 kit and I I think my 6ah has 21700's as well cause its pretty hefty so I don't like using either the 4 or 6 on the impact.
