Rest in peace!

    Warrel may he RIP , probly the only person who could be a critic to Jeff's playing from 6to 7 string and as Jeff is my idol riff master I giggled so hard to his slightly sarcastic comment . and looking back IMA sure Jeff is giggling too.

      It's why they were so good together. That animosity shoes to push Jeff to want to be better.

When he developed a problem which affected his voice he sang with such a low voice that also blew me away. I'm 60 years young and LOVE my metal. Warell Dane is my favourite singer of ALL time and I've been into Hard Rock Metal since I was 6 years old. His solo stuff is outstanding too. Look it up.

    lol Loomis getting a little pissed at Warrel, two dif types but I agree that TGE was a great album, so many excellent songs Psalm, My Acid Words, Future Uncertain, The title track,Sentient 6 oh hell, the whole album was filled with great songs. DHDW and DNB were my other 2 favorite albums. It can't be stated enough how much Calvert, Smyth and Andy contributed to the band. Smyth is a very powerful song writer and Tim added a lot of the darkness to DNB .Andy, of course, is a celebrated producer/mixer as well as a musician

      @down-the-rabbit-hole Před 2 lety +1

      @Doge di Amalfi I think you are completely wrong. Warrel was always known as a great humble human being. Even loomis is quoted as saying that "Warrel was a wonderful human being" so not sure where you are getting your information from...

    • @down-the-rabbit-hole
      @down-the-rabbit-hole Před 2 lety +2

      @Doge di Amalfi well that's because of his addiction issues. Alcohol sucks when you let it get the best of you... But Loomis mentioned that outside of the addiction that Warrel was a fantastic human being. It's the addictions that creation the tension between the two sometimes....I was lucky enough to have met Dane at a show back in Colorado in the mid 90s, and he was amazing. He chatted with the fans as if he knew them his whole life and took pictures and signed autographs, even though he could have done what some members do and leave right after the show.... I can tell that Warrel was sober when I met him and so I was able to see the "real" Warrel.... With all this said, you have to admit, he was an amazing singer and front man.....One of the most unique voices in metal...

    • @down-the-rabbit-hole
      @down-the-rabbit-hole Před 2 lety +1

      @Doge di Amalfi I wouldn't say that his addiction means that he was "weak". He could have also been suffering from a deep depression, which alters the chemicals in your brain. Besides, I think we should be focusing more on the amazing front man he was and the amazing vocalist. Nevermore and Sanctuary would have never been the great bands they were had it not been for Warrel Dane....

    • @down-the-rabbit-hole
      @down-the-rabbit-hole Před 2 lety

      @Doge di Amalfi Well, since you are getting religious, the Bible also says not to judge people and that's EXACTLY what you are doing here with Warrel..... You need to practice what you preach man! and I disagree with you about depression. Any medical doctor will tell you that it's a chemical in-balance and it has nothing to do with religion or God silly.....If you don't think that Dane was loved, just search youtube for the 2 hour memorial that was made for him from all his friends and family......

      @GMHG777 Před rokem

      Agree there was definitely some sort of vibe being Bieber off by both these guys during this interview almost some one up-manship …. Not hard to see why Loomis decided to split there was a certain low key tension going on between these two at this point.

    funny i always shared warrel's view that they shouldnt have gone the 7 string way. they just became a different band with dead heart. still great but not as great as they were on dreaming. that said, i also share his sentiment about dreaming being the pinnacle...where to go from there? maybe it was the right decision to go with 7 strings after all. anyway, i would loved to have gotten 1 more album in the more classic nevermore style, less dowontuned chugging metal and more chordy, moody stuff, yeah
