- Hey Guys! In this video I had the opportunity to speak to a very wise lady who moved to Ghana in 1998! She believes Ghana is for the young and Ambitious or the Retired and Content
We had an amazing conversation where she expressed how she felt her ancestors were angry with her
Now she’s opened a restaurant with her partner and is doing many more amazing things in Ghana! Make sure you watch the full interview, let me know your thoughts and please do share this video !

mz dru are you spoken for ? because some of us london boys may want to howler .
The name of the woman is mimi Brew they were from cape coast originally but were living in London I remember that tv program very well and the husband was mr Addison
Ultimate paradise the Ghanaian series she was talking about
If you were at Cape Coast, it will be easier to make friends. The Fantis if you are a foreigner, they will come to you and have conversation with you even if you don't want to talk. In 1999,the area you are living now is an isolated place.
Hi, Sister Afua
It took me forty-four years when I first visited Africa.
I was misled with the usual racist white supremacy myths that Africa is full of jungle and famine.
When I landed in Ghana forty-four years ago, I didn't see no jungle and no famine.
I saw houses, markets, schools and hospitals.
Am so proud to be a Pan Africanist that studied and research my roots and realities such as wearing my batakaris, joromis etc. Eating my favourite cultural dish of jollof.
I love Accra, but next summer when I travel to go to Ghana, I will be travelling to Cape Coast for the first time and Aburi for the second time.
Sister Afua, the cussing match is on.
Rasta man always knows the truth. They know that white mans land is not their place. I love it when he said he is heaven.bless him
I know right so wise!
I think the show she is talking about is 'Avenue A'. This lady is fully Ghanaian.
Wow this was a rich convo. I think the name of the show is Home Sweet Home. Love that show‼️
Soo Soo good!! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!
I did learn something new. I would love to experience the tree house to be near the hippos at night
Im glad you did, im sure you would love the experience!
Would like to stay there when I visit Ghana. Well done Dru. From Kenya with best wishes.
Please do! Thank you soo much for watching I really appreciate the love!!
My fellow Kenyan, hii
That was a beautiful conversation, wow since 1999 that was very long time, now all those places mentioned Kwaabenya, Acp are so developed😊 she's got such a beautiful home and restaurant
I know right ! It’s amazing hearing things from such a different perspective ! Ghana has definitely changed over the years 😍
Kwaabenya is where the late President Nkurumah built the atomic energy industry. In those days the area was restricted.
The program she mentioned they were watching is probably ultimate paradise by Rama Brew
Love this conversation. I was last in Ghana in 85 and want to come back for a vacation. I know what the Sister is talking about. I tripped over the open sewer in Accra and I had to make an appointment to call my home.
wow times have really changed now! So interesting to hear the development!
