August 19th, 2021 at Bradenton Motorsports Park (1/4 mile NHRA dragstrip). This is our first Tesla Plaid with 21" wheels. Running on the stock Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (21”), while racing against the fastest full-bodied cars we could find.
Race #, ET, MPH, Reaction, 60-ft, Mode, W/L Margin, Vs
1: 10.192, 97.31, (Launch Control), 1.51, Win by 4.25 vs Skatpack
2: 10.316, 92.25, (Launch Failed), , 1.55, Win by 0.68 vs C5 Z06
3: 10.941, 125.37, (gave move), 1.59, Loss by 0.08 vs C8
4: 10.830, 120.61, (gave move), 1.55, Win by 0.01 vs C8
5: 10.533, 136.94, (gave move), 1.57, Win by 0.10 vs C5
6: 10.91, 130.48, 0.396, 1.60, Win by 0.12 vs M3 Comp
Started with 96%, ended with 80% (used 16% or 2.7% per Sandbagged race)
All races were in “Plaid Mode” (NOT “Drag Strip” Mode and did not use Launch Control), with the exception of the first run, which used Launch Control (Drag Strip mode was not anywhere near Ready’). The accelerator was not entirely at full during these 1/4 mile passes, in order to to run above a 10.00ET. (The NHRA requires a Roll Cage for faster ETs, and I promised the Track Management that I would not run below 10.00 tonight.)
Note: ET’s always exclude Reaction Times! The time from Green Light to the finish line is the total of RT + ET. ET is the time from actually crossing the Start Line to crossing the Finish Line, irrespective of the driver's reaction to the light.

Thanks to Matt (C8 Vette @RearWheelDrive ), Joe (Procharged C5), Javier (BMW M3 Competition) and all others drivers for these fun races!

This guy gives a master class every video on intricacies of drag racing.
@@danchatka8613 Sure, how many times have you lost to him?
Great to see the vibe out at the track, everyone in this video was such a good sport about it.
The "I nearly had you!" BMW guy got me. All I could think of was that Fast and Furious "You never had your car!" moment. 😂
He nearly had me alright! (After I was on the brakes, that is.)
Was thinking the same thing. Would have been crazy funny if Andrew said 'you never had your car' 🤣
I love it when you talk to the other racers!
That second challenge with the blue vette is so crazy how easy you toy with them! That guy is super cool too, can't wait for his charger, that's a great friendly rivalry!
I enjoy watching and wish I could afford a Plaid. However the thing that I really enjoy is your editing and audio mix. Rock solid.
Thanks so much! Each edited video takes about "one hour per race" on average, sometimes longer for videos that have more VO work (like that last one in my garage and the Solar Panels + Powerwall video from July).
Just keep buying Tesla stock and you will be able to
So nice to see you and your competitors having fun and great interactions!
Lesson of the day. Never underestimate your opponent.
lesson of the day. dont play with your pray or they would end up eating you instead.
He did it before as well with a Porsche. Lesson: Don't play with your opponent especially not if you can't calculate the right timings in your head properly
I really enjoy this channel. The races are so fun to watch, but I also enjoy the details of the numbers.
I'd love to see a Plaid vs. Plaid battle with both cars with a roll cage, identical tires, and identical weight, fully charged batteries, and launch mode enabled. Let it be a pure test of human ability, timing, and technique.
The Raven Summer Revenge Tour is in full effect.
I have never been interested in drag racing, but this channel completely change that. I thoroughly enjoy your channel.
Love the fact that you are always polite and respectful. Not everyone is a gentleman these days. G'day from down under.
The owner of the BMW's face is priceless. He's thinking damn it I can't beat this car he's got me. Lol
All I could think of when he said "I nearly had you!" was that Fast and Furious moment "Dude I almost had you!", "You never had me, you never had your car!". 😂
It's a shame when your car is so fast, you have to resort to honing your throttle control. The Plaid is an engineering masterpiece but I still like that C8.
Engineering masterpiece?
Uhh, a combustion engine is way difficult do build as an electric Motor.
But the whole car, the Electronics, the coordination is perfect for the quartermile.
And dont forget, 1020 hp to the wheels with no delay!
@@bernhard.k Using your analogy, I guess my dad's old 1978 Ford F150 with a 300 straight 6 had more engineering hours invested in designing than the Plaid since it has a combustion engine. Um.... OK. Last time I checked software engineering was still a thing.
But the plaid isnt the race car. Tesla just doesn't have the capacity or capabilities to build the new roadster. So they put the powertrain in a 10 year old car. Pretty stupid. When that roadster is built. It will be insane. Lots of rich people will die.
@@nickmccain6598 It is an illusion that the Model S is unchanged. It's like saying that the Porsche 911 is unchanged. The truth is that most all of the parts under the skin are all brand new, and vastly improved over the years, from the motors, the drive control systems, to the Octovalve, to the door mechanisms. The truth is that the Plaid model IS the Roadster. It is just disguised in Model S clothes.
@Nick McCain You make some good points (the S is obviously not a 2-door "sports car" in the traditional sense), and I always knew the Roadster was vapor when announced in 2017. (No way was I putting a deposit down.) But it will eventually happen. (Elon just said "2023" today.) And yes, many drivers (rich and poor) will continue to die when they drive these cars in stupid ways. Too many have perished in the S this way already, you've probably read the news stories. Take them to the track people! If my Channel encourages more people to do that, then I'll feel that it wasn't all for nothing...
But otherwise Dean reminds us (rightly) about all the significant new engineering that has gone into this latest S...

Put brake lights on your sideview mirrors,so they know when you are trolling them.
This plaid just blows my mind. It’s that fast and weighs almost 5k lbs. imagine the numbers it would hit if it weighed even 4k lbs. can’t wait to see what the future holds for EVs
can't wait for the 19 inch car to run with the cage and get some weight off for at least the same amount of the cage installation so people wont say that you are running a striped down car.
That back seat is absolutely coming out. No one needs to ride in the drag Tesla when he already owns the 21 incher.
This will make braking easier too.
I appreciate you doing the best with your limitations even tho we would all like to see you full throttle. Can’t wait for the roll cage vids! Also the model x plaid!!
Another great video!
That M3 dude is awesome! But all were cool about being Plaid with. (Pun intended).
Yeah the M3 guy was so chill!
I don't evn know half of these drag strip lingos. But these are sooo fun.
I'm addicted to this channel! That C8 race was hilarious!
Geez! that Plaid is unreal fast. Nothing like playing around with cars and walking away from them. Good show.👍👍🇨🇦
My friend and I used to run my 73 Toyota carina 10.60’s with a 22r turbo.. I asked him after a pass how much boost did it pull he said I don’t know you run it.. I did.. pulled into the pit he said well how much boost was it at .. I said I don’t know.. the fact that you know exactly where you are on the track and about how fast the car is speaks volumes to how smooth and straight that car goes down the track.. and I won’t mention how fast a mid to low 9 is .. just wow. Keep the vids coming
Great video! Nice demonstration of creative and fun ways to play with the Plaid while still staying within the NHRA rules. I wonder if we'll ever see them loosen the restrictions a bit for EVs, seeing how they are so planted and less prone to catch fire than ICE cars. I doubt it will happen anytime soon, but it would be nice to see. I haven't driven the Plaid yet, but the P100D never felt out of control with its incredible traction control, despite the insane (ludicrous) power.
The trolling at 22:00 is absolutely epic and stuff of legend. " You're a lucky guy, I almost had you." What was that song from Man of La Mancha, To Dream the Impossible Dream??
As Don said: You almost had me? You never had me :)
Always enjoy watching these videos Andrew, especially when I was there. Thanks for the shoutouts!
Was waiting for blue corvette to stab brakes to take the second win lol
Might have worked!
I can’t wait to see you go full out!! Wow so impressive!!
The 3 videos from Showtime are flat out: “20 Runs”, “Plaid vs Plaid”, and “Plaid vs Beasts No Sandbagging”.
Man! I dig that podcast network. 👌 that is crazy!
Fun sandbagging a C8 corvette. I have a Tesla Raven Performance and a modified Mallet C5 Corvette. Awesome video.
Love the sandbagging runs! Keeps it interesting :)
I'm actually really liking these runs. They seem like a lot of fun and the other drivers seem to really be great sports about it. I got an update on mine and the estimated delivery time is now in November instead of February. Here's to hoping that Tesla can keep the supply consistent.
I'd love to see how fast your car does using Sport mode. I wonder if it's just in the 10's like your Raven or how it runs. Try it out if you would!
Was going to comment similarly...I kinda figured there would be a lot of poor sports about the race etc. But, that's really cool to see everyone is having fun!
Seeing as GM is shuttering plants again due to the chip shortages..it's bound to affect Tesla, and other MFGRs. Don't hold your breath too long.
Loving the vids! I’m picking up my plaid next week. I used your referral code ;)
Thank you kindly sir! You might just be the first! I didn’t even get to use my own referral code on these last two Plaid Model S (a shame, but they aren’t very flexible about it).
But I did use my own code for the Plaid Model X!
@@TeslaPlaidChannel you got it! I originally didn’t use one so had to send an email to have them add it. They said yes because I have yet to take delivery. Looking fwd to seeing your X!
@@softgrapes Dang, maybe if I emailed that same person (in June) they would have added my code to these two Plaid deliveries (July and August). But I didn’t try because many years ago when I ordered a Model 3, they said “if it’s not attached to the original order on day 1, then too late. Sorry.”
But now I know they are better about it. I learned something and I appreciate very much that you used my code! 😃
Just discovered this channel. The best thing about it is not how fast the car is, but that the owner is a nice guy and not a rub-it-in type of jerk. He's out to have fun driving for skill, and has put his car in a position of being a bench mark for the other cars to aim for and compare themselves to, rather than just blasting by them every time which would get dull in a hurry. It's a good formula.
Thanks for the kind words. Although I'd be out there even without this Channel, I wonder how many people realize that if a car crashes at the dragstrip, it's NOT covered by their normal auto insurance. (Racing insurance is prohibitively expensive, like over $30,000.00 per year.). Hoping it never happens of course, but the point is, there's a lot at risk, not to mention the safety aspect. Have you seen this video of mine from last year: czcams.com/video/0Eqy-ExzGCg/video.html
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I think most racers know the risk, most spectators probably don't, and most tracks I've been to point that out or have it posted. The Monte Carlo in your video looks to have broken an axle, something I have seen a few times. Fortunately it didn't happen at speed, and it looked like his damage was minimal. I don't hold the roll cage requirements against the tracks, it's all for protection; both theirs and the racers.
@@realmaindrianpace Agree. The curbing by the tree took out the G-body’s oil pan and the track needed 90 minutes to clean it up. (It was a very busy night out there already 🥴.)
The scary/awesome part of this car is consistency. Low 9's at the track and public roads.
Seen a few Tesla apart at a collision center. Makes me wonder with the cage. There is so much of the car that is the floor. Especially the batteries. Like looking at a honeycomb of a bees hive. And that's almost entirely the floor as far as the passengers compartment. Love the channel.
Exactly right! And some bonehead below is saying "installing a cage is easy". Would like to see a video of him drilling through the floor of one of HIS Teslas... That would be a fireworks show!
I think realistically it shouldn't need a cage given how strong the structure of the vehicle is, but rules are rules. :)
@@VoxelLoop sorry, if you turn over, you need a cage, no matter how good your Chassis is.
It's, obviously, doable.. they did it for Randy Pobst's Pike's Peak run. That said, money was probably no issue in the car's fabrication. For the average-ish Joe, it could be pretty costly.
@@Mr1Tanker they had couple tesla techs at unplugged performance helping out so main question is probably the know-how, not money, especially since the this model is so new.
It is funny how much effort and attention you have to give to make the Plaid Model S run as "slowly" as the Raven model does. You would have still been able to beat most of these cars with your Raven Model S. But this is Like Mozart playing piano while being upside down, adding party tricks to keep the competition interesting. The other racers seemed like they were really good sports about it all, and that they really enjoy the challenge (as we do watching remotely).

Good eye! I wondered if anyone would notice that…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Yessir. Thanks for all your efforts, by the way. Get that cage and show us what Plaid can really do! I think you are at the CZcams forefront of this particular technological advancement. I know older Teslas really struggled with the 10 second cars on _other similar channels._ Even stripped WAY down.
Awesome content, I considering taking delivery of my Plaid since the CT and Roadster will be 2023. Other than speed, has the handling/driving dynamics improved on the Plaid? I'm still in love my 8 year old P85+ and on the fence on the trade up. Thank U
I won't sugar-coat that the yoke sucks for daily driving, especially if you switch between multiple vehicles weekly like I do. But if it's your only car, and the don't mind making the adjustment, it's quite a ride. The power is absolutely too much for the street. I don't drive around in Plaid mode, only "Sport". They just made an air suspension update in yesterdays software download. I'm really enjoying it!
For decades,I raced at at ihra tracks, and 1/8 mile tracks as well,. Rules were relaxed, and we had a good time . As an aside, central florida see ms to have some very slow cars at their dragstrip. In North Carolina we actually build many of our street cars, if we go drag racing.
There are definitely a lot of "mildly modified" cars to put it gently. Plus lots of stock Mustangs, Camaros, and Hellcats with nothing more that an airbox. But these could be the "faster cars" of tomorrow, and they certainly bring revenue to the dragstrips, so I encourage them to keep coming back!
18:00 that C5 is nasty lol
that scatpack is hilariously slow 😆 🤣
That carbon wrapped motor is an engineering masterpiece! The morons that say it's easier to build vs a combustion engine really need to watch a few videos on how hard it was to engineer and build!
Question: why don’t you activate Drag strip mode at the SuC and leave at 100% SoC and leave it on all the time? Is the energy lost through heat dissipation really that big so you ”save” battery by just activating it now and then?
I haven’t read the manual… just asking out of curiosity.
Race safely, I love these races!
Good question! It's two things for me really:
1) Battery Longevity: Although they don't warn as strongly as they used to, it's well-established that the "preheating" is not good for the life of the battery. I want this car to last a decade or more. I took great measures to avoid pre-heating my 2019 Raven's battery more than really needed, and it was faster (MPH) on the 1000th time slip than any previous pass!
2) It does eat up battery charge, although not as much as the Raven did. My 2019 would sometimes use up 5% just during the preheat sequence! That was more than 2 full runs on the 1/4 mile! The drive from the nearest charger is about 4-5% away, and that would likely be more like 6-7% in the Plaid if I kept it in Drag Strip mode to maintain the higher battery temperature...
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Preheating should have no effect on battery life. It simply optimizes the battery for max discharge and lowest IR possible.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I see, but my suggestion is to preheat at (or before) the SuC, so you can leave with 100% AND a warm battery. Then just keep it on until the races are over. I agree with Engage RC that it likely is even "milder" for the battery to keep it at optimal temp, than stress it with power launches at a "cold" temp. That's the point of preheating before SuC on a trip - the battery can receive and give power much better and with less wear on the cells. Anyway, maybe the manual says otherwise, I'm just thinking about how batteries of this type work and so on. Maybe you could test once (through an entire visit to a drag strip) and compare with all your existing data?! Just for science! :)
Keep up the great work and nice commentary in your races!! You are a great guy!!
Dam that vet was fast
Next time u see Matt ask him if that is a “Back to the Future” pole sticking up in the back of his corvette 😂😂⚡️
It most definitely was. It creates some interesting results, and wild how it can edit the pole out of the resulting video!
Man im IMPRESSED , I got a procharged c5 840hp n she runs a 10 flat n u just walked bye that vette. I'm glad ur not in my neck of the woods or I'd b back to the drawing board FOR MORE POWER!.. ur making my wife nervous brother, because she knows now I'm LOOKING FOR MORE PERFORMANCE OUT OF MY VETTE. I've never broke the 9s yet .SO MY PERSONAL OPINION IS TO PUSH HER INTO LOW 9S. Next time around I'm going more cubic inch. ELECTRIC IS NOW HERE TO STAY, BUT IM NOT GOING THAT WAY, I'm 60 plus so old school is for me! 🥳😎✌
Nice man , nice! I hope will do a tesla model 3 with 650hp😈
It's like you're a camera man, and your job it film these Ice cars with your Gopros. Lol
For sure, and occurred to me too. The “chase cars” in Hollywood movies need to be faster than the cars they are filming 🎥. It’s just like that-
Power!⚡
1 dislike from Gordon Johnson
That guy 😂😂
Ok, that made me laugh for real. Gordon’s going to tell you how the plaid is going to break down in someway…..and go bankrupt 🤣
As technologically advanced as the tesla is, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point the silly thing will allow you to put in the time you want to run say (9.99 or 10.0) and all you do is hit the gas, it will let off for you lol!
You are right, but this doesn't sound good to me
Another great feature they could add, Bumper Mode. When Bumper Mode is on, the cameras track the car in the next lane and keep you a bumper ahead.
In another form, it's closer than you think. I'll be sharing more on this in a future video...
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Heck, take the code a step further and make the cameras in the front launch off the green light too for flawless reaction / 60 foots.
I’m going to buy Tesla Roadster founder’s edition with cold thrusters when it comes out. Should be fun drag times…..like who could beat that?
Ok i am really keen to see what you can beat with a half cage and parachute so you don't have to sandbag and you'll be going up against actual drag cars. I'd love to see you beat a funny car?? Maybe not.
So where are all these FAST CARS I keep hearing about and seeing video on down in Fla.? He'll PBDyno's big buck Shelby runs low 9's, supposedly a normally aspirated Coyote runs 9.5 at 140 in Houston but even twin turbo cars don't run 9.0x. Usually. Saw a 1100 HP Plaid running Nurburgring, testing Plaid + mode? Great and entertaining video, as usual, just have WITHDRAWL when I have to wait 4 days for new video. Can't wait to see the 19" tire car with a cage to actually do some full passes. Someone could make a lot of money if they could hack the computer to increase the power, running 8.5 quarters are all hidden in there!
That's EXACTLY why I pointed it out at 4:06. If someone sees a faster car in those staging lanes, please let me know. (The Blue Camaro in the back is caged and in the "full slicks only" lane.) I've run that Red Monte Carlo a half-dozen times on the Channel already, against both the Plaid and Raven. Indeed, where are the faster cars?
...When you're so much faster you don't care if your opponent cheats or accidentally blows a light.
We need to see a Plaid vs Plaid.👌🏻
We actually did that about two weeks ago. See my "Plaid vs Plaid" video post (my blue on 21"s vs a White one on 21"s)
So will the sandbagging stop when you get a cage? And do carbon fiber rollcages exist? I'm sure they do, right? Probably costs 5 grand though.
I’m already hearing over 6 grand for a conventional cage for the Tesla. It a tricky job when you can’t drill through the floor…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Well I was a bit off.
It's like when you think you can beat your dad in an arm wrestle, then he explains how he's going to beat u after letting you use 2 hands.
I enjoy watching your videos, the only thing i feed bad for the sucker that ends up buying that Tesla from you in future. They must were thinking, oh that older gentleman drove it gently. Hahaha
Well, that’s why I decide to keep my 2019 Model S (1001 timeslips) and let the 2016 go (maybe 5 timeslips on it).
Will never get over Time Slip ripping in half.
The Samdbagging is funny. It’s even funnier that everything that you say, at the track, is passive aggressive. “Oh, by the way.” And you have to look out for the Puerto Rican guys, that guy will come back and be in the 7s.
Wow those Plaids are fast! Do they handle good?
Google: “Tesla Plaid LAGUNA SECA”
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Whoa an EV record? They do handle amazing! Are you considering doing any content featuring road courses? I would love to see videos of that!

Yep, and I'm trying to make it very clear which videos are "sandbagging" versus "no restrictions". My last two race videos *say it* right there in both the Title and the Thumbnail picture...
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Gotta show everyone Tesla is king! Some people don’t know you’re doing it unless the breaks show. They actually think they are close to keeping up lol. I prefer their dreams crushed embarrassingly…
Nobody faster than the battery powered car🤣👍
How does the performance hold up on one if these? Does a P90D after so many years and 100's of passes still run the same? Does the performance drop off? After 10 years and a 1000 passes are you going to need all new motors and a new battery?
Faster after 1000. I’ve done it: czcams.com/video/q9opLnq54uY/video.html

@@TeslaPlaidChannelHow old is that raven that did a 1000 passes? I'm just curious about the long term 10 years, 20, 30 and so on.
@@jonvertnik2454Did the 1001 in 23 months. A 2019 Raven. Teslas have only been made since 2012, so no data beyond that…
Time will tell. Why don't they offer a battery pack that's half the weight? You'll lose range but 500 pounds is a big gain in performance. This would be for the weekend warriors not the commuters. That coupled with some electronic upgrades you would be able to customize and "hotrod" your tesla, the one thing their lacking. Car guys are car guys, you have to make it your own, not just own the same cookie cutter everyone else has.

Tesla ev is the future 👍😎👍
Yes the car is on the spotlight, and what a car it is! But you have to give credit to the driver for hitting such consistent and accurate numbers time after time. With the restrictions imposed on that electric rocket it takes a different type of skill to play and win while not getting kicked out.
#madprops
Can you set you max speed higher on the PLAID? I can set max speed to 90 mph but if you could set it at like 105-110 and still be able to launch perhaps you could finesse a perfect run every time.
50-90 only
anyone know if the guy with the procharged c5 has a channel? I gotta see more of that car
Not that I’m aware, and didn’t see cameras on the car. But I’ll ask him next time I see him

We are 3 months away from Tesla’s 2022 models, so it’s hard to say….
Andrew, use your rear camera to keep an eye on the guy behind you. Love the channel and videos. Keep up the excellent content.
Thanks, will do!
Can you imagine a tri motor cyber truck destroying all these cars too. Wonder what top speed is
You should do a cool wrap advertising your channel! (After you install the roll cage)
I need to come meet you at the track. Love to get a ride in that plaid. I live up the street. 😁
Ride alongs prohibited at these speeds except for very rare exceptions…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I didn't mean on the track. Lol..
Next on the agenda: Install a rollcage on that thing so you don't have to brake mid track!
Andrew, all tracks have their favorites and the Teslas are upsetting the apple carts. I've seen tracks allow cars to go into the 9s (and 8s) for years without the cage nor the chute. Look at Dragtimes track just three hours drive from you on the east coast. Those guys are going into the 9s and 8s all the time. Its all about the strip manager.
Curious, now that you've had the 19" a week, is it quicker than the 21" or is the jury out??
My name for Andrew: Gentleman Drag Racer!!
I hear ya, but the dragstrip that Brooks goes to most often (Palm Beach) is an IHRA track. Not NHRA. That plays into it also…
The 19”s seem just a touch faster BTW. More testing to come! (Only been out once with the 19”s)
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I've raced BOTH NHRA and IHRA tracks and it seems that its all up to the track manager or starter. I haven't seen an NHRA agreement for their tracks, but there's most likely language requiring the safety equipment in the cars at certain ETs. There's tons of qtr mile runs on YT where there's been no issue with cars running into the 7/8/9s without a roll bar. Seems the NHRA needs to revise their rules for modern times (or there's something more insidious against BEV???) I think it's the latter. IHRA is HQd in West Palm FL where Brooks does a LOT or most of his runs. The Rule Books really need to be changed or revised to address Plaid and Nevera.
Not when its being recorded and published. They will lose their permit from NHRA to operate. It can be done but quietly.
@@dstr1 True, BUT if you read the Rule Books for both sanctioning bodies, theyre' not really addressing the Street Stock class of which Plaid is a member. The Rules need to be revised to address these new BEVs. ONe interesting note is how the Rule books are replete with reference to things that BEV don't even have like Bell housings, fuel, ballast etc.
…do you get much re-gen at the end of the run?
It depends on how long the runoff is, and how much I need to get on the brakes (wasted Heat energy). But I’ve seen the battery gauge go UP by 1% during that runoff many times…
Badly want to see the Plaid go against a 911S Turbo over the 1/4 mile
I hate having to sandbag. I remember having an engine issue and having to dial in slow, and then fixing it before elims, and having to brake. Not fun at all.
It's not my first choice but I'm trying to make the best of it until I can get the cage installed. And thankfully the 1/8th mile tracks have no restrictions, so those videos are "all out". I'm trying to make it clear in my video Titles which kind of night it was.
the timeslip-ripper strikes again....
please find a place where u can floor it all the way on the 1/4 mile
I agree. The cage mandates is archaic for today's cars. Safety and technology is so far ahead.
I think it was from the 1950's
why aren’t you allowed to run under a 9.90?
Getting those tires hot so he can get walked!
Are you used to that yoke yet?
Only for a few minutes and then I get into my daily driver (2019 Tesla S) and then the controls are all different and when I try a turn signal it changes the song that is playing and then…😡
Must be hard to watch a standard family sedan blast past you.
race streetspeed and stangmode.. well stangmode broke again, those are 1000hp cars. You taken it to willow spring at all? Laguna? Like to see what it can do there..
Different kind of Motorsports, and although it’s not my thing (yet?), the Plaid is already setting records at tracks like Laguna Seca. Google it for details…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel for electric right? many cars are sub 1:30 at laguna but 1:30 is impressive. Great vids btw
How come some tracks allow to run as fast as possible and then there are some like these that limit the cars
There are at least 3 sanctioning bodies that I’m aware of: NHRA, IHRA and Outlaw (maybe others). Each has its own rules. Different dragstrips are aligned to different ones with their different rules.
Looks great going straight how does it corner?
Even faster? Setting records at Laguna Seca and the 'Ring! electrek.co/2021/09/02/tesla-model-s-plaid-track-mode-hot-laps-video-nurburgring-racetrack/
Blind spot? You need to bring up the rear cameras on the display.
Not a bad idea! Maybe a touch distracting, but if I practice it...
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Not more than turning your head, just a quick glance down right..
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Shouldn't be any more distracting than turning your head to look for the "competition".
