When I saw the COG symbol on the TV immediately knew it was gears and got hyped up as hell. Seeing the darker tone the franchise is known for and mad world in the background told me OG gears is back. Gonna be so cool to experience E-day in a full campaign since all we've seen of it is in the comics and odd cutscenes. Seeing Dom again almost brought me to tears, the little smile he gives to Marcus telling him that hes always there when he needs him and in a way to us the players telling us that hes back and its gonna be just like old times. Literally cannot wait, Gears Of War is BACK!! 😁👊🎮

Wasn’t really expecting this gears trailer to get me as emotional as it did. But I am glad it did! Really feels like this could be a massive nostalgic revival for the franchise. Playing as Marcus and Dom again is literally a dream come true

I'm a grown assed woman 46 years old and I'm crying like a baby. I bought the first gears when it released and I didn't even have a Xbox yet. I borrowed someone's Xbox for a week to play it 😂🤣 I eventually got a Xbox and I became a aunt and introduced my nephew to gears. He is 14 years old today and waking him up this morning to tell him that gears is back meant the world to us. I will be crying all day if anyone needs me😭😭🤣🤣🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

I watched the Gears reveal in my living room surrounded by people who barely know the saga, trailer ended, got to my room ... But inside, I was this guy here, yelling, all excited, hyped, crying, feeling the joy and the kid inside of me get crazy happy. Some people just don't understand what a beloved video game could mean to us, it's amazing how all of us can share something like this.

Truly felt it died but this brings happiness to the soul as he was in this reaction. We finally got what we want
People will always underestimate the power of a story & forming connections to characters or games in general. In its purest form a game is a work of art & don’t let anyone shame you for feeling any type of way about something that made you feel. I also got emotional watching this, haven’t played this game or thought about this series in years but I know how it made me feel when I saw Dom pulling Marcus up. These games are time machines to a certain era or moment in your life where you remember what you were going through when you first experienced this moment or who you played/experienced these times with. Everyone is passionate about something!

My God, as a Day 1 Gears of War 1 fan, dad bought xbox 360 for my brothers and Gears 1 came with it, this brings so much peace to the soul. They listened to the fans. Gore, Locust, Marcus, Dom, Gritty, they even showcase it as Gears of War and not “Gears” this gets me excited. 20 years later as a 28 year old I’ve been here and watch the franchise literally die out after Gears 4, so much hope with Gears of War 6👌🏼🔥🔥🔥
I’m a big fan of this game, bought all the limited edition stuff, including the console version, read all the books and invested so much of my time for GoW. Despite all that, I think we can all agree that our boy SHADOWZ is GoW’s number one fan. No one can’t compete for this man’s love for the game. What a wave of emotions man. The last three titles were rough for Gears of War; not including Gears 1 remastered. Never thought I would part ways from GoW so when I took a break 2 years ago I really thought this was the end for the GoW trilogy. I’ve been waiting for prequel for a long time now. I haven’t felt this kind of adrenaline for video games in a while so I’m definitely looking forward for this. LETS GO!!!!

Even though we have not gotten to seen the Pendulum Wars (other than from the novels and comics) Emergency Day is the event of the Gears of War Universe we haven’t fully explored.

This is such a small attention to detail but in Gears 2 Dom shows a picture of him and Maria together happy and he had that same earring on in the picture with her. Nice attention to detail from the coalition even though they didn’t make gears 2. This is going to be a banger
