My man good luck leaving
Considering getting one of these. Are the jets loud ? And how much did it affect the electric. Trying to cover all my bases
I enjoy mine, are the jets loud.. yeah it can be hard to hear your tub partner talking if they’re running. It affects the electric bill I estimate mine increased by 60- 90$ a month depending on factors I supposed. Our electric company may have higher or differing rates than yours does.
You’re telling me I can afford a hot tub?!
You sure can! All the chemicals to keep the water quality correct can get pricey & quite annoying though. Proceed with caution lol
The water bill is gonna be nuts
lol can you afford it? They are like $500-600 new
We’ve got a well
@michigantreetops what was your electric bill like? Was there any significant difference?
Now for a nice long wiz.
How do I keep the pipes from freezing if not constantly pumping
The pump is always running
does the heating work all the time and approximately what consumption does it give?
I have the heat icon on all them time for the tub, I don’t know the exact consumption I estimate it has added $60-80 a month additional to my electric bill.
I thought we needed to drain the water once it gets down to 32 degrees
This is from the manufacturer on the matter. Link: bestwayusa.com/blog/4-tips-for-winterizing-your-inflatable-hot-tub.html
@@michigantreetops thank you
No problem
Another question that I have is does the heating element turn off and on automatically depending on the water temperature
@@Dire-Wolf-HV I would believe that’s how it works but I’m not positive, the heat icon “flames” will turn green when the set temp is reached, it will be red well heating to the set temp. I do not know the technicals if it actually turns the heating off or what it does.
How long does it stay hot while running the bubbles? Especially in the cold weather
If you ran bubbles the entire time… I’m not sure, probably would be 98F after 15-20 mins. That’s an estimate. I mostly soak it’s hard to hear over the bubbles also
@michigantreetops if just soaking with the top off, how long does it hold temp?
@@alexballar it will stay warm for 40 -60 minutes at least there were some nights this winter I was out there for over and hour and a half… on those nights it was likely 97°F when I got out. I honestly don’t mind getting out at that temperature it feels nice going inside and not being overheated.
@@michigantreetops that's great to know. Thanks for the into.
How do you feel about been in the hot tub often as a man? I heard and read that it can be harmful for men to have children if they go in the hot tub often for long periods of time
If the power runs out I'm guessing a few hours and pump and tubes start freezing..
Your guess is as good as mine, but I’ve never had an incident like that in the last two winters. Maybe I could do a video on how long it retains heat. Before 35°. I think it holds heat quite well but I’ve never tested it.
@@michigantreetops unless somehow you insulate the pump so that the heat from the tub keeps the pump and pipes from freezing,..
@@crazydan777887 right, I do insulate my exposed pipe from tub to pump with pipe wrap, I’ve seen products for insulating the entire pump/heat unit. But you gave me a good idea to test it out and see how long it truly holds temp thank you. The trick is to be prepared for an outage and have a generator (large enough) on hand if you’re prone to getting outages
@@michigantreetops yeah but I will not be trying, as it can hit-25C here in MTL.. And the day I would hit the cutting point I'd be in trouble.
@@crazydan777887 Mtl is that Montreal?
Recorded vertically:(
This is a CZcams “short” they’re filmed vertically, if you kindly head over to my channel I have many videos in horizontal long format. Thanks again for watching.
