- Took only 50 minutes to complete this tak. Scorpion did a great job of precision engineering this slip on. The mic does not do the new exhaust justice! Clip at the end shows sound without the baffle.

Great no nonsense video, answered all of my questions without wasting my time with Steven Spielberg asperations. Thanks and well done.
Thanks. Much appreciated!
Scorpion exhausts are absolutely amazing! Really impressed with mine
Ant on a Slant they sure are!
You are very creative mechanic!! Bravo!!
Love the Motorbike parts...Best wishes for your project!!
ZUZANNA MUSIAL i learned a lot from my dad. Thanks for the kind words!
Man that Scorpion looks good on your bike! The red ring at the end matches the overall colour scheme very well. Most importantly sounds GOOD! Can't wait to see a vid with you riding around.
Have been eyeing the Scorpion for my Striple for a long time.
SineOccasu thanks bro. It does match the bike very well. I did have to put the baffle back in as it was giving me a headache. Sound great even with the baffle. The good thing is that this exhaust does not require re-packing or re-flashing the ECU. Ride safe
Love the sound, nicely done to. Really a nice bike.
Razbike thanks bro!
Massive difference for sure ! Sounds awesome ✌🏽
It’s way nicer without the baffle in it 😁
Sounds so much different! Very nice!!
Yep, it sounds way sexier now 😁
I like that. Way back when I was young, I had a 650 Kawasaki and I put headers on it sounded great.
Jims Motor Trike so you understand the thrill of the sound lol. Ride safe.
running your playlists now love jess
Thank you so very much 😁🙏
Nice job buddy, definitely much better, I can't believe how heavy modern standard exhausts are, RSM8.
Skeggy Cruiser thanks Skeggy. Yup, it weighed as mush as a baby cow lol. Ride safe.
Nice video, sounds great without the baffle !
AusTorque thank you sir! 😁👍
How did I miss this video? I didn't think anyone made a slip-on for the FJ-09. Thanks so much for sharing this info....man, that sounds gooooooooood!
JP1970 yeah, I did a lot of research before I show this unit. The guys at Scorpion manufactured it to a precise fit!
Viper6 excellent! You still have the FJ-09 or
MT-09?
JP1970 yep, still have the FJ-09 for this exiting rides. If I want to cruise, I jump on my 2009 Suzuki Boulevard C90T. 😁
I came back to see again. I like this exhaust :-)
MOTO PT2 that’s awesome. Thanks 👍
Scorpion very good.
Sweet! Sounds great! A lot better than stock. Great install! Take care and rsmf...
Thanks bro. It's like night and day. Ride safe.
Nice addition to the bike 🏍
Thanks bro. It’s much more comfy now 😁
Very good video, congratulations!
Loc Motovlog thank you!
Sound great bro well installation and your awesome bike
Harley Entertainment thanks for the compliment
I think I like that baffle in...lol. Great to hear from you and nice job.
nwroadrat I totally agree with you. It just hurts without the baffle. Ride safe!
nwroadrat I agree. It just hurts without the baffle. Ride safe!
Excellent video 👍🏼
Lera Days thank you!
Looks and sounds awesome! :D
iRidetas thanks mate! Keep the shiny side up!
Great job! Informative and entertaining.
Daniel Graham thanks bro. I tried to keep it simple and to the point. Gave you sub, as I noticed you have the same bike 👍
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger Indeed I do, but not yet with the same exhaust.
Just finished my install today of the full stainless system on my FJ-09. I agree with everything you said, especially the fact that installing the bolt attaching the muffler to the bracket was a real PITA. The sound is even better than I had hoped for - love it!!!
Daniel Graham that’s awesome. I’m glad you like the exhaust note 😁👍
sweet set up
Huge difference in sound bro.👍
...it looks nice the scorpion, good job...
Luis tip thanks bro. Ride safe.
wow, the sound very cool
Sharethisthat it does indeed sound much better. Thanks foe watching bro.
Wow it looks and sounds Sweet....I always left my baffles in because on longer trips the noise would give me a headache with the baffles out. With them in it just seemed perfect...
weljo2001 you know, it took the bike out for an hour without the baffle, and like you said, it gave me a headache lol
Oh Yea, :) :)
Nice sound !!!
Schumak thanks dude.
Awesome video bro i subscribed
Dirtbike Justin111 thanks dude! I subbed right back 👍
When you Turn motor on... WOW...very good!!!
KTM Laranjinha thanks :)
Sounds Great!
Simão Maltez thanks bro!
great job, nice video, my friend.
Thank you my friend
Sounding good! You are lucky to be able to do the job yourself . I am not very handy, took the rider's seat off my fjr, to check that it was in the lowest position, now having a problem getting it back on properly, lol. rsmf.
Triketacular thanks bro. Don't knock yourself down. One night it took me 10 minutes to get my seat back on. Lol
That's a nice neat job. Sounds good as it is (with the baffle) if you value your neighbours ha ha!
OldManTony thanks bro. Baffle is staying in because it's way too loud without it lol.
great movie, best regards my friend :)
Thanks, you too!
nice vid bro subbed!!
GPH EDITS thanks dude. Subbed back!
thanks bro means alot!!
Hahaha, i thought i had the only sewing machine :)
your bike sounds sweet now :)
Thanks mate! and thanks for the sub!
wow very nice
Flying Rhino Drones On thanks bro. It sounds way better 😁
Big like top video thanks you for sharing.
PAN CHANNEL thank you my friend 😁
Sounds awesome!! I would leave the baffle out, but that´s just me lol.
Hec Thor thanks bro. I had to put the baffle back in, because the exhaust is just slightly behind me and was giving me a headache :(. Still sounds pretty good with the baffle. Ride safe bro.
Hey nice bike man I was wondering if with the baffle in you need to retuned the bike and is it to loud on the highway going 60mph for touring thanks i am looking to put it on mine.
I have run it without the baffle. The ECU did a good job of correcting the tuning. But, it does give you a headache at highway speeds with no baffle lol.
Fala! Tudo bem?
Legal o vídeo, belo trabalho!
O ronco ficou muito bom, vai chamar muita atenção.
Abraço.
Vanderlei Intruso I’m glad you like the new exhaust amigo. Abraco 👍
This is the exact video I was looking for. 👏🏻Did the middle pipe came with the slip on or should buy separately. Thanks
Glad this video helped you out. The middle piece comes with the kit. Just make sure your cut is straight and that you clean the inside and outside of the pipe with a file, so that the middle piece slips on easily. Good luck.
Hi i want to do a similar job with my Tracer 09 and i'm very much interested in that bolt that you called "the ultimate pain in the but". I believe it is the mounting bolt for the muffler. Where did you mount it? Does the scorpion come with a specific bracket for that purpose? thanks
Hi, The pain in the butt bolt is actually not too bad if you use a short allen key. Scorpion provides all the necessary parts, brackets and bolts. I was actually impressed on how everything just fit so perfectly. The only thing you have to do is clean with a metal file, the stock pipe where you cut it, so the new Scorpion pipe slides in.
sweet! that cat was huge...so the baffle is removable? my akrapovic does not have a removable one, I would have to drill out the retaining rivet but I have decided to leave it in place for now.
motonut thanks. Just one screw holding the baffle in. I tried it without the baffle and ended up with a headache lol. Ride safe.
What was the model of the exhaust? Looking for one for my 2015 FJ09 but worried it won't clear the kick stand.
Robert Burns the model is the Serket Taper half system. It clears the stand perfectly.
Süüüper Video 😉👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
All the grouchy old men on your street are gonna shake their fists and yell, " SLOW DOWN YOU YOUNG HOODLUM !" ...Sounds bad ass.
waldenbuilder - Texas Outdoors and Motorcycle Roads thank Bro. I'll have make sure I hit the higher revs in front of those grouchy old men :)
How does the exhaust sound on the highway? Does it have a loud drone sound?
Chuck Dyer hi Chuck, it’s not bad when the baffle is left in. But, without the baffle it does get loud on the highway. Thanks for watching
Like the baffle in...it's loud enough, a lot been reading about noise decibels and the effect on hearing on prolong riding . I previously owned a Dyna super glide, both exhaust ended by rear foot pegs, so loud my ears would ring after a long ride.
Mike BigEasyRider I agree with bro. I took it out without the baffle and it gave me a headache after an hour. Baffle is going back in. Ride safe.
That sounds good, I am sure cops dont go apreciate. Lol.
MOTO PT2 I put the baffle back :)
When removing the cat like that, doesn’t the bike need the ecu retuned and remapped?
The manufacturer advised that it is not necessary, as the baffle in the exhaust creates enough back pressure. I can confirm that the bike runs very well. But, if I remove the baffle, the bike will run a little rough for one minute until the ECU adjusts itself. Personally, I would not run it without the baffle as I would be concerned about running too lean.
great motorcycle... 👍👏👏👏
LihatAja Channel thank you very much!
Moto very nice
Life And Travel thank you 😁👍
Do you have a video where it shows you doing the cuts and joining the slip on can with the rest of the pipes?
Keith D'Amato sorry I don’t. Do not be intimidated, because it is very easy. You cut the pipe right after the weld, so that the actual weld stays with the catalyst. You end up with the header part. The new Scorpion pipe perfectly slides into the header pipe.
I noticed that there is a bent 'S' between the scorpion exhaust and the pipe headers. is this part included with the scoprion package or you made it?
Keith D'Amato that S pipe is included with the exhaust, and was pleasantly surprised that it was a perfect fit.
good vídeo
Thanks!
No Weld, just springs? Thanks for answer!
sebastien di genova correct. No weld, just springs.
Hey Viper. I am in Edmonton. Where did you order the exhaust? Any fuel mapping after install?
marcuso68 thanks for the sub and subbed you back. I ordered it from Motostarz in BC, because they were $300 cheaper than the shops in Calgary. Scorpion said that no mapping is necessary and they were right. I’ve had no issues.
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger Thanks for the info. For some reason I found 2 different models and am unsure which one I need. One is the RYA93CEO, and the RYA101CEO If you know which model, I'd appreciate it.
marcuso68 for the FJ-09, in carbon fibre, it would be the RYA101CEO.
Wow so meaningful vlog loved it 😊 stay blessed liked 114
Mrs Naseem Vlogger I’m glad you liked it. Be blessed as well 😁
Yep, baffle back in, stop the neighbourhood dogs barking. LOL. Nice job!
Len Scapoff I agree mate. It's way too loud. Ride safe
I've always liked Yamahas, I've had a bunch. my current ride is a Ducati 1100s hypermotard
Yamaha makes awesome bikes. But, you gotta love a Ducati 😁
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger the DUC just costs a ton to maintain.
Are you still liking it with the new riding season? I saw in a comment you said it was 300$ cheaper buying from that shop in BC. How much did you pay all together?
Demetrios Papavasiliou correct, I paid about $550 from Motorstarz in BC vs $860 from shops in Alberta.
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger That is an insane price. I called them today and they said it would be about $713+tax and it's not in stock so it would take a while to come in. Did you bargain with them or was it on sale or something?
Demetrios Papavasiliou it wasn’t on sale, but it was almost 2 years ago. I know that since then, the British pound went up and Canadian dollar went down, which doesn’t help.
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger ooooooh I didn't even realize it was almost 2 years ago. That explains everything. Ice caps at Tim Hortons weren't 4$ a couple years ago either lol
Demetrios Papavasiliou yep, not too many things are less that $4 these days 🤣
"Has a very distinct sewing machine sound" lol
Everyday But Sunday but it’s true lol.
Back again
Thank you my friend :)

@@Viper6-MotoVlogger is the A3 yours as well?
I'm going through some of your older uploads lol
Raymondo Ramble thanks. I appreciate that 😁
Raymondo Ramble no, that’s my wife’s car. I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma truck 😁
Any loose of power and torque at low rpm?
Salvatore Balsamo nomloss of of power or torque at low rpms 👍
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger I'm so confused between this and Arrow
Salvatore Balsamo both are good and the arrow might be louder from what I hear. All I can say is that Scorpion was very precise in the way it is manufactured and the pipe fit perfectly. Just go,with your gut feeling 👍
@@Viper6-MotoVlogger thank you so much, I'm only scared too lose torque and power at low rpm. I'm not able to remap at moment
Salvatore Balsamo no problem. The best part is that the bike does not need remapping with this exhaust, as it maintains enough back pressure so that the bike does not run lean.👍
Wow. I'd like to take it. but I have no money. hahaha
Jack OT แจ๊ค โอที thank for watching 😁
Trying to find where to buy one. I have an FJ-09 2015. The slipon sounds great.
Robert MacCready thanks. I purchased it through Moto Starz in British Columbia Canada. They were $250 cheaper than getting it my local dealer.
Thanks!
Robert MacCready no problem and good luck!👍
Good luck went to no luck. Checked their website and cannot fine the exhaust.
Robert MacCready here is their email. I dealt with a guy named Tom. info@motostarz.com
Like Tmj ✌👊
Sandro Fz250 thanks for the comment and the sub. Subbed right back! 👍

you sure are a handyman how much money did you save by doing it yourself? thumbs up Viper6
Thanks bro. I probably saved myself about $200. Take care and thanks for watching.

Back on a few more
Thanks bro. I’m running Donovan’s live stream as we speak 😁
Not only does it look 👀 good sounds good 👌 I'm debating the exhaust on my stock m109r exhaust it sounds like a sewing machine to I'm trying to get something not to loud because with my other rides the neighbors in my hood would call the cops on me cause I leave work at the butt crack of dawn and they got pissed 😬
Tha_homie_bill thanks bud. My boulevard C90T had the Cobra speedster longs and it sound great. Not too loud until you crack it open.
vac0002 I was looking at the cobra exhaust and the Vince and Hines big shot staggered will c still pondering 🤔
Tha_homie_bill both are great, but V&H is generally louder
vac0002 that's what I seen online
Tha_homie_bill 👍
still running
Awesome 😁. Thanks 🍻
pity we do not see the weld in the video (assembly)
albert moreau the weld needs to be cut off in order for the new pipe to fit, as shown at 3:32. Thank you for stopping by.
