- The seventh of the rematches against every chapter's boss from the recent beta of the hack "Paper Mario Pro Mode" by Clover. Trailer: • Release Trailer: Paper...
These rematches are for players who have beaten the game and are looking for additional challenges. Many of the bosses have updated moves and much more HP and Attack power. I'll be using my max damage and defense badge build to deal with them.
Ah, my old nemesis. I'll never forget my childhood days when it took me weeks to beat him for the first time. Now, with 120 HP and inivisible Tuff Puffs with 4 HP each, what am I to do?
The key to this fight is memorizing the turns in which he heals. If he has puffs out, he will heal every 1st and 3rd of every 5-turn cycle. I did not know this before I went into this fight, so it isn't as "optimized" as it could be. And I'm not sure how his AI works to the detail, as he adds a new move when in a pinch, but it's a safe bet to assume he won't heal twice in a row.
As for the invisible puffs, it's a matter of going for more damage or for a Star Beam. It all depends on the turn and what he did last. Don't just go charging in.
By the way I got lucky as hell with those Cloud Nines. - Hry
While I never played this hack, I’m quite impressed we got harder Boss rematches, new areas, and even a new way of playing with the Luigi Challenge! And fun fact: in the Master Quest version of this rematch, if you use Bow to dodge his lightning, he calls you out on it and turns invisible himself for a few turns to give you a taste of your own medicine! Really love stuff like this!
Favorite Paper Mario boss! Seeing him become more difficult and you requiring more strategy made me really happy!
I’d actually say he’s the hardest rematched boss next to Bowser! Huff N Puff himself is not that bad, but It’s much harder to take out Huff N Puff’s minions as they might be invisible, and that means Huff N Puff’s chance to heal is increased greatly, making this fight last very long.
Wanna know something crazy? The Master Quest variant is even tougher, with his most notorious buff being that if you try using Bow's Outta Sight when Huff N. Puff does his storm attack, he decides to make himself invisible for a few turns, giving you a taste of your own medicine! Kinda wish more bosses in modern Mario RPG's did this tactic of using your techniques against you.
I personally power up as much as possible and rush him with power bounce and multibonk
@@BH400q But didn't they nerf Power Bounce and Multibonk?
@@Loner098 They did, but it's still a viable strategy to use as far as offense.
2:46 "Aww shoot, now I have to use Bow."
you can crash the game with bow in the fight
wanna know how

0:16 She actually references how hard Huff N. Puff is!
Marcos Ortega I thought Klevar was a guy lol

Besides the additional invisible Tuff Puffs, along with the additional damage and health, this feels like how a typical Huff N. Puff fight would go down...
Also, hindsight that you probably already saw, but you could've totally finished him off with Bow, unless there's a safeguard to ensure he gets that last word in. I know you said it wasn't optimized, but it's now just something I hadn't considered...
You're correct.
dazkid33 If you GENTLY smack Huff N Puff and it kils him, the game crashes.
This was pretty cool, gotta sayZ
How tough was Huff N Puff’s original boss battle?
They barely had to change anything for the rematch.
For sure one of the more strategic boss fights in the game.
It's been a long while since I've played the original, but it looks like they doubled his health and made some of the mini Puffs invisible. Which I didn't realise I would love to have in this battle until I watched this video.
Michael C. That’s barely anything compared to the first four rematches.
@@kylestubbs8867 No argument here. The Koopa Bros. especially were fantastic.
You can't super charge and power bounce now because of the power bounce nerf... how did you do this fight
I mean, I don't think anything's stopping you from just charging and using a regular jump. You'd have to charge until 60 damage though :P
I'd say it's still a viable option even with the nerf. That's how I beat him easily
At 8:21 you could've switched to Bow, done Fan smack and killed him.
If he gently used Fan Smack and killed him, the game would’ve crashed.
@@marcosortega3350 uh, nope
Fan Smack will never crash the game, only regular smack
and besides, only on the N64
@@Danikah23 emulators also crash and fan smack only crashes if he has 2 hp
@@varietychan Yeah I have since learned that but thanks anyways for replying
@@Danikah23 If the emulator is virtual console it won't crash.
Did they nerf the Star powers?
Yup!
Refresh was buffed to healing 7/7, though.
It actually annoys me when a boss gets smaller and smaller.
Apparently Lv 27 is the max cap
What does his ultimate attack do if it actually hits?
It deals damage. 5 + 2 times the amount of puffs he has with him, if I'm not mistaken.
Exactly, what he said, it's just an earthquake move.......in a sense lol
MasterWarlord That KEPT killing me! I HATED this fight when I was 10!
I remember once, I got taken out by this move when he had like 3 HP left. It hit me with 13 damage points, and I died.
オズモーンの体力は、120はすごい。
What version of paper mario is this
Paper Mario 64
@@waldox1 i knew that, I made a retorical question because I hate huff n puff
Paper Mario pro mode
what emulator was this?
Good ol' Project 64.
@@Hawlo what video plugin did you use to make it look almost native?
@@SoulReaper3281 I think it was that glide64 one. It comes with the current P64 version, but it worked fine even in the old one.
Is it me or he has 999 coins!?
if ur in normal paper mario the fight can be cheesed
1. Use S. Jump Charge for the whole fight.
2. Use partners for protection and fighting.
3. After a while, use Multibonk.
4. dead.
