These rematches are for players who have beaten the game and are looking for additional challenges. Many of the bosses have updated moves and much more HP and Attack power. I'll be using my max damage and defense badge build to deal with them.
Noticeable differences in this fight include Red Goomba buffing Attack, Blue Goomba buffing Defense and the Goomba King throwing mushrooms at you to inflict status effects. I saw a Volt Shroom, which inflicts numbness and a Poison Mushroom, which poisons you. Perhaps there are others? The spiky goomnuts above you will inflict dizzyness and regenerate throughout the fight.

I love the shooting star summit music so damn much it's so relaxing.
I couldn't agree more, it's one of my favorite tracks from videogames in general.

Also watching those videos is making me wonder why Star Beam isn't also banned beside for Bowser rematch fight, its so OP its ridiculous it pretty much negate most fight true difficulty and its free it cost nothing to use.

I wish there was this version, just for...not Pros. This is so cool! But it is too hard for me...
I think there's a way to turn off the double damage if you mess with this hack's code. You could try looking into that or wait until the final version comes out to do so.
Hawelo92 is the final version going to have a easier version?

If the damage is an issue, some of the best advice I can give is to get better at guarding. The double damage is the last thing to apply in the formula. If an attack does 4 base damage, it would do 8 unguarded. If you guard, the base is reduced by 1, reducing the total to 6. There are also two Damage Dodges in the game, which would further reduce the base when you guard by 2, reducing the total damage to 2.
Other advice would be equipping Defense-increasing Badges (Defend Plus and P-Down, D-Up). Sushi's Water Block also increases your Defense by 1 for up to four turns. Last Stand also works well when you have 5 or less health (though it unfortunately applies after your other badges).
Your last option (and a favorite of mine) is Chill Out (the Star Power, not the Badge), which reduces the enemies' power by two.
If you apply all of these (including Last Stand and guarding), you can be hit by a 9 base damage attack (18 total in Pro Mode) and take no damage.

I just tried out the Bowser rematch, and he is not hard, it just took me a while.
Out of all the boss rematches, which one did you find the hardest?
That's tough, might be Tutankoopa (for some reason took me a few retries) or Huff N. Puff.
I did tutankoopa on my first go. Huff N. Puff almost made my arm pass out since i had alot of button mashing to do.
I kinda used your same strategy, but i was not the same lvl you were, yet i still did it.
Yeah you can do these a lot earlier than post-game.
Before i started the boss rematches, i was at lvl 23.
Mario doesn't even get the last hit.
My game always freezes after these rematches, such a bummer.

For the goomba king, I think it might be hitting the tree that causes the crash. A youtuber who played this mod said that was what causes the issue for him. If I had to guess, I’d say that the tree is hard coded to prompt dialogue from the goomba king about killing his minions, and since they don’t die in the rematch, the game freezes.

En algún momento sí, porque puedes comprar más Repel Gel, pero eso es muy adentro en el juego, antes de eso sería bien difícil por el doble daño.
O me estoy equivocando, no sé. Aunque con Repel Gels cualquiera gana.
Cuando derroté a este boss, se me multiplicó la exp gracias al hechizo que se compra en dry dry outpost...dándome 60 exp... Pero se me congeló el juego porque golpeé al árbol primero ;_;
Mientes ya que esta batalla solo la puedes hacer en el prólogo y no da esa experiencia

I think that only happens if you do it when all three are alive, but I'm not sure.

Yes, it's a new badge in this mod. Most new badges here are unused in the actual game, but I'm not sure if this one is unused or totally new.
I have the original game on my Wii U I'm on the last chapter and it's been really fun playing and I'm hoping to get the thousand year door for Christmas can ya'll wish me luck?

Alex Niemann It's a romhack. I'd assume for this you'd download it as if it were a standalone, and run it using P64 or a different emulator of your choice
