    Why is it that nearly all new railway infrastructure is built from Lego bricks. Surely poured concrete into shuttering is far stronger than placing giant Lego bricks on top of one another. This is just another cost cutting exercise, the new bletchley flyover is a prime example of rebuilding something that was already there just for sake of it.

      The blocks are hollow, and effectively permanent formwork, but they still contain rebar and all the poured concrete you want.
