I don't buy it one bit. He plays high risk/high reward tennis. If Djokovic and Nadal focused on "highlight reel tennis", their shots would be incredible. Federer is not anywhere near the raw athlete the other two are. Federer is a more refined version of Kyrgios.

Find another running overhead lob winner. There is millions of hours of tennis footage out there. This is the only one. The rarity alone ranks it high on the all time list. Then you throw in the circumstances (high stakes match, goat competition, both in prime, sets up match point etc) and this is the greatest.
The best ever ..just magical ..sorry the other two just don’t have this extra layer but still legends of the sport and I love them all but federer has something no one else has

Where is his 2014 crosscourt slice that made Berdych fall down? His 2014 sliding forehand crosscourt passing shot against who was it, Matosevic or Groth? His 2015 final SABR backhand winner against Djokovic? His 2015 final volley that made Djokovic fall down?
You guys were right on target for like the first half of the video but then it feels like you ran out of ideas after that because the last few points weren’t all that impressive at all. I think the ones I just listed would be much more deserving of screentime. 👍🏻
All credit though for including lots of those favorite vintage points like the three tweeners and smash-off-the-smash, but I think just a little more thought had to go into it because the rest of the points were more Mercedes-Benz-Play-of-the-Week tier.
