I guess purdy isn't the same level as lamar 😂, he actually made it to a super bowl
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They still propping up Lamar, even after the loss.
He’s on an all star team put Lamar on this team Same result
@@truth2219 For godsake don't start with that. I watched the game yesterday, KCs defense was vicious yes, but Lamar had multiple chances to make short gains with his feet, he froze up and didn't act like a leader.
he isn't, he played weak nfc teams! put him in the afc and see where he gets to.
An ugly victory is better than a thousand glorified defeats!!!!!! Ask Allen, Lamar, Stafford, Love, Baker?!?!?! Purdy just game managed the biggest comeback ever to go to the Super Bowl in his second year while being picked dead last in the draft. 😂 haters are going to hate
17 is not the greatest comeback ever bro tf you smoking on
@@nathansmith5215 look it up. It’s the biggest comeback in an NFCCG. 21-1 when leading by 17 points at halftime. Where is your fact checker now?!?!?!
😢
@@nathansmith5215 Yeah, it was 18. He was talking about in a championship game. The Bengals came back 18 to beat the Chiefs a couple years ago.
Brock Purdy will be forgotten in two weeks after the 49ers lose 😅
Rex don’t take away from the niners putting it in 5th gear! Purdy is our Franchise!
wow I thought for sure the Lions going to win fun watching Purdy you said it

@christopherallen9476 Don't act like Purdy didn't do anything. Quit hating 😂
@@YoungNickie92 stay with Checkers I am sure good with that
Purdy is fool's gold. stats rely heavily on YAC. Cmac and Deebo are the team not purdy.
I get the narrative that Detroit gave the game away, but the Niners also had to earn every point to come back. Both things can be true.
Exactly. Niners did a great job fighting back but Detroit did not do anything to help themselves. Cambell can be aggressive all he wants but he sees what happens when it comes back to bite him. Its the same as a coach being super conservative when up by 2-3 scores and a team comes back into the game.
Nah. 49ers took their game to them in 2nd half. It wasn't even close by the end.yea the lions had a good half. But the niners had a way better 2nd half than the lions 1st half.
I hate that narrative. Detroit didn't give the game away. They didn't execute. Those 4th down drops were entirely on the players. Gibbs fumble was caused by a strip. The Niners won that game clean. If anything that helmet to helmet contact on Purdy on the drive that put them up 3 would've been a first down and most likely a TD.
Bruh. A lot easier to comeback when the opponent shoots themselves in the foot…SEVERAL TIMES 🫠
@@newagain9964Detroit gave away opportunities and the 49ers converted those opportunities, so of course the 49ers deserve some credit.
Lions were 20/25 on 4th downs but the 49ers stopped them twice. The 49ers stopped the packers as well. That’s championship defense making big time plays in huge moments. Playoffs are about playing for 60 minutes and making the least mistakes.
Someone gets it. Def give 49ers defense credit and idk why everyone thinks fg is the right decision there when fg esp this playoff seems like the lower chance to succeed from that distance.
Detroit dropping a pass is not good defense
@@dougsmith6346 Good point, but you meant "passes". The 4th and 2 and 3rd and 10 drops by Reynolds were crushing
@@dougsmith6346 Boas got pressure on the edge and forced Goff to move and make a bad throw on one of them. The 49ers switched from zone to man coverage in the 2nd half. Tighter coverage and made WR’s nervous. Gipson hitting Laporte and knocking the ball out, Forcing a fumble, 2 4th down stops. The lions played the way they do and it cost them because Goff can’t play well under pressure.
The lions handed this game over on a platter. Sooooo many missed chances to put this thing away.
Ryan Clark, i respect you. He was wrong about Purdy, but when Purdy delivered Ryan gave him respect.
I don’t respect that clown
Until Purdy has a bad game then he will be on the next train saying “I told you he wasn’t the answer”
I love purdy shut up the haters. Funny how Clark now calls Purdy elite and a franchise QB.
Detroit gave them that game Brock Purdy had nothing to do with it
Finally he gets some respect!
Brock reminded me so much of Young Russell Wilson in Seattle. Calm, cool, mobile, kept the plays alive, scrambling to make a play, running when he has to, all while being from behind. He was a magician last night.
Ironickley Wilson did have a similar comeback in this spot
Its Janusry 2015 against the Packers the Seahawks trailed 19-7 with less than 2 minutes left
They also trailed 16-0 at half
Than they scored td recoveref onside kick took the lead and won in it on jeremaine course td
I never thought Purdy would run down field for 9+ yards… not even when being under pressured multiple times!! He had elite field awareness!

I wonder if watching that 2nd half was the single hardest thing Ryan Clark had to do all season 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bahahahha YES 🙌🏻
Finally purdy getting the credit you deserve when you turn things around in the middle of an ugly fight
Ryan Clark you don’t get to be a Brock purdy fan now, you counted him out like everyone else. Train’s gone bud…
Yeah Ryan Clark needs to eat his words, no way he gets to just turn and say oh look he’s good now.
Clark is STILL not giving Purdy any of the credit, he just says that the Lions blew it.
Dude literally just did a 180 degree reverse on his opinion in like 36 hours lol absolutely no way to not look like a total asshat
Plus one insanely lucky pass. But people credit luck to skill. He exists on the best team in the League. It is less about him...and more about the team.
Dan O too
As a 9ers fan of course I am glad that we won. But, while I can respect Dan Campbell with his "going for it" approach on 4th downs, if he really wanted to win this game, he should have tried for a touchdown just before the half while taking the two FGs on the other two 4th downs in the 2nd half. This totally reminded me of them when they played the Cowboys. They could have won that game had they kicked the FG. While I appreciate Dan Campbell in willing to go for it on 4th downs, still you have to analyze the situation and do it on case by case basis. Either way, I tip my hat to Detroit for having such a great season in taking the Lions back to playoff football.
Yep, 6 points on the table, when you're AHEAD, take the points. At worst we'd have been trying to win on a last minute drive. Unusual drops and fumble also played a huge part in this. 49ers are a very good team. I'm not too disappointed, we knew it would be tough...it's just that we shouldn't have lost. If we'd helped ourselves just a little bit it would have been too much of a comeback for SF.
They would’ve tied against the cowboys as it was a PAT but Dan decided to go for two
Yep I was glad they kicked the field goal there
Nah, you want a 3 score lead so take the fg. That was a mistake. The "always go for it" is just plain stupid.
I disagree with your assessment at the end of the half. Consider where things were at at the moment, they had all the momentum and was literally having their way with the defense. Offense wasn't doing much at that point, so keep the momentum going with another score going into the half and continue to play the same way. Hindsight is 20/20, so its easy to say they should have went for it on 4th at the end of the half KNOWING what the 2nd half ended up being, but in that moment, that was the "safe" call and in my opinion the right call so the momentum doesn't shift going into the half.
Bears fan here, i was rooting for the Lions because it was a fun story to watch, but now I'm rooting for the 49ers to beat the Chiefs because nobody needs another Mahomes SB win!!
Lions beat their selves
@@jetcrews97 yeah because that other team didn’t score any touchdowns didn’t make any plays I don’t even know where the 34 points came from I guess Kansas City gonna beat them selves to if they lose
@@Bang-bangNinersgang-hv5yt exactly
@@jetcrews97 well, who cares how you win as long as you win at least history is going to remember we won a Super Bowl and it will be our 6 one bang bang!
KC in a blowout. Reid is head and shoulders above Shanahan. SF is just fortunate make it. The Lions collapse probably saved Shanahans job. They spent all their trade capital to get McCafferty and they still won't win the SB. Remember Balt crushed SF about a month ago IN SF. KC just beat Balt.
SB score:
KC 45 SF 21. Purdy probably won't finish the game , due to KC pressure.
Coming from a Lions fan we deserved this loss after leaving 6 points on the table. I love the aggressiveness but at some point you should take what you can get. Its not the regular season anymore.
Right like I respect standing on your aggressive coaching philosophy. But in moments like these you can’t be stubborn and you need to compromise your play style.
It had nothing to do with the two 4th downs. It was they made more plays than the lions when it count. Had the lions made more plays than the 49er? We wouldn't be having this conversation. People would be saying how much of a genius Dan Campbell is as a football coach. We would be saying they came to win and take from the 49er not the two 4th downs.
@@connell8408it was all about the first 4th down he handed sf the momentum with that
And only scored once in the 2nd half
@@connell8408 Always going for it because a computer tells you to doesn't make anyone a genius. No one is, or ever will, call Dan Campbell a genius. He has been a good leader of men, that's what he does. We'll see how long that lasts because often that does not have a long shelf life especially when things start to stall. The jury is still out.
Purdy : elite!!
Glock Purdy was clutch.
No one is mentioning the 49ers missed field goal. Media talking heads lol
What does that have to do with anything
That's 2 games straight we've missed a field goal but nobody cares... They only care about the other team missed opportunities 🙈🙈🙈🙅🏿🙅🏿🙅🏿🤡🤡🤡💀💀💀
There’s nothing to say about it dummy
@@firstnamelastname9215saying that Detroit had missed opportunities while not identifying the 49ers just because they won is what most media people do. Winners have missed opportunities too, there has never been a perfect game of football and the people that capitalize more on the other team’s mistakes always win the game. That is truly the only difference between winning and losing
Why would they mention that if everything was going wrong for 49ers in the first half? If everything went right and that's the only thing, I get it, but obviously that's not the case here.
Giving Brock his respect was the hardest thing Ryan Clark has ever had to do.

Exactly!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the Niners are playing prevent on that drive. Niners Coaches did a great job staying in it. Fans too
That’s because an analyst doesn’t pretend they didn’t watch. Credit to Brock for doing what he needs to do but this was all about the lions dropping crucial passes when being wide open
@@SunniMerlot they had a 17 point lead please hate somewhere else
A meaningless 7 points at that, garbage time really. Game was OVER once niners went up 10. Purdy was perfect when he had to be. Detroit as whole, was trash, when it mattered most. The signs of a young and inexperienced team who thought they had already won the game.
Finally some praise to Brock Purdy. People not realize I Brock is great!!
Lions didn't gift the game to the Niners. The Niners gifted 30 minutes to the Lions.
FACTS I was so shocked when they said that.

A legend was born last night!!! #13
RC talking about switching up 😂. Bro you were giving credit for Purdy earlier in the season but then take it back at the end of the season. RC is trash shut up 🤡
Proud of Detroit for how far theyve come though. Those fans deserve it
If this was about any other team than the 49ers, this entire segment would be about the team that came back and won, not the team that blew it and lost. They're so sad that they lost their "Lions finally good" narrative.
Purdy is him.
Mahomes is actually Him
I don’t have a problem with the going for it on the second 4th down because you needed to get momentum back but I just think on the first one you take the points and go up three scores. Make the niners press. That was the one I feel like gave the niners the momentum take the points make it 3 possessions
Exactly. The big disadvantage about not making the fourth down is that you lose the momentum. Nobody talks about this. When you put three points on the board you have a touch more momentum than the other team. When you lose a fourth down you have dropped significantly in momentum and may lose the game
I get it but if he kicks the extra points at Dallas and wins in ot, the same thing when they played Seattle, it could have been a home game
Dan Campbell was the reason Detroit was in NFC championship, he’s also the reason they aren’t in the Super Bowl.
What makes a good coach is adjusting, you can be aggressive during the season you never never hand points to the opponent, nice comeback by 49ers.
Saying Purdy will never get credit, a split second after he's given credit explains the Purdy discourse so much.
Purdy made great plays down the stretch 🏈✅💯👏🏾
He's talking about the majority of naysayers. Not himself specifically lol
Lot of people didn't want this superbowl. Instead of getting something new they have to sit through the most winningest NFC & AFC teams of the last 5 years again in the Superbowl. 2 best teams playing each other oh what a real tragedy for football fans.
Those people wanting that just have to COPE harder. 😉
I love watching great teams, but I think most people not wanting this are simply fans of parody. It’s fun imo to see stuff shaken up over the course of years. Either way - this will be an excellent heavyweight battle!
Oh no... The good teams won. Who would've guessed
We don't care we've seen this match up. Football is entertainment at end of day this matchup is a snooze and will be the least watched sb ever lol
Nobody wants to see lions or ravens 2 overrated teams
The 4th Down risks weren't the problem. The most glaring mistake is running the ball on 3rd Down and Goal at 1:05 left in the game -- forcing them to use a timeout. There's no excuse for that.
Thanks for giving Brock a shine ✨🍺.
they still find a way to hate on purdy
@brotherVooDoo sign out purdy is still playing couch boy
Do the Niners get that little credit for winning?
I'm not hearing it; I hear they (the 49ers) were given the win. These guys are clowns really silly clowns in a little car all saying things they are told to say but hating to have to say it because if they don't tow the narrative, they can get their judas money.
No. It's the typical bay area team narrative.... They don't win games, the other team "lost the game"

49ers win...ESPN talks about...The Lions. ESPN HATES San Francisco.
Lmao please stop it. The Lions was winning all year and barely got any coverage. We have heard so many segments on Purdy, CMC, their defense. Calm down the Niners in the Super Bowl
Because what was really impressive last night was how the Lions literally imploded and gave the game away LMAO
The niners don't win games, other teams lose them... Typical east coast narrative.

The only people who like the 49ers are Jerry Rice( attention starved) and northern Californians
. Southern Californians detest the 49ers. They love the Rams and Chargers. The Rams are likable.
Most Californians live in Southern California.
BYE!!!
What a game manager!
RC is on point. The only people who say it's bad coaching haven't been watching the lions all season. They were in this position because of his aggressive play calling. Thats their identity. The goal is to always win the game, not wait to win the game.
I agree to an extent, but c’mon. You don’t pass on the FG to go back up 3 scores after burning half the 3rd quarter. That was some armature Madden B.S.
Oh yeah? Tell me one time when the Lions won a game that saved their season based on this "aggressive" play-calling. It was good for show in the regular season, but there is seldom a reason for bypassing a field goal to go for it on 4th down when everybody in the NFL is extremely athletic and any of the defensive linemen could deflect or bat down a pass. Not to mention that even if you get the 1st down, there's a good chance you'll still have to settle for a FG, especially against a stout defense like SF's. Seems to me that Dan Campbell was trying to lose the game
@@Zenigundamno it seems like the players just can’t execute. Yes all season the second half was always shitty but if the players execute better they win
Yeah, and because of that aggressiveness it cost them at least two games in the regular season and NFC championship game. 🤦🏻♂️
Enjoy that L with your identity bc after all, losing is a Detroit Lions tradition lol
This sounds like fans trying to cope with the loss.....Some situations you gotta do the smart thing, Dan Campbell's ego lost the game
I'm a Niners fan but leave Dan Campbell alone. Ya'll were cheering, hooting, and hollering when he was converting on 4th down all season. All of a sudden I see comments about firing him. Are you shitting me? It hasn't even been 20 years since the Lions went 0-16, 3-13-1 TWO YEARS AGO, 1-6 to start last season, and he had them in an NFC Championship game last night. New age Lions fans I know you're not used to winning, but had we lost, we'd be thinking we'll be back. Had KC lost, their fans would be thinking "we'll be back". As an Alabama fan, any time it wasn't our year, we said "we'll be back". And Nick Saban did that for us. Only losers worry about not having another opportunity. Dan Campbell is a coach you should trust because he's gotten you this far. Have faith
Ryan Clark isn't as energetic today as he was last monday.
There’s a reason why none of these guys made it past the championship game… You take the points whenever you can in those games. And yes, I’m a Jets fan.
Please talk about how a monster Fred Warner was
I love Fred! 👍🏻
Clark using those DB skills lol.
Lions: We gave this game away.
Niners: No you didn’t. You payed your natural game and we played ours in the second half and took it away.

Is it natural for Purdy to underthrow a ball but bounce off defenders helmet to receiver for TD? I don't think that's in the playbook.
@@dexterjankaren It wasn't for a TD.....EVERY TEAM gets lucky at some point, it's execution that gets you the rest of the way. Purdy, along with everyone else DEFINITELY did that.
@@cldaniels7632 no doubt but one little play can make or break a season if not a career. Niners only won by three and Detroit dropped 2 easy catches in crucial moments and twice went for it on 4th down when anybody else would've gotten the FG.

@@dexterjankaren That's the Lions playing the way they played all year though. I agree with you as i'd go FG over 4th down, but Lions played for 4th down all year. It's who they are. RC two face outfit is fitting
Niners were #1 all season. That’s just the numbers there. Good game!
Ryan Clark real quiet over there after the slander waited a whole 5 mins to finally speak 😅
Brock Purdy shattered Shanahan's comeback curse. You could feel it yesterday when the comeback started, something just feels different. This team can comeback now. This team can make the big play when they need it most.

The truth is we have 2 flawed teams playing for the title..
2 teams that are not playing well. But 2 teams that don't give up and most importantly...the 2 best coached teams. This final match up does not surprise me if asked at the beginning of the season. But I did not expect either to make it through the gauntlet. But they did.

What type of sports fan are you?? You probably help your opponents off the floor
From a Niner fan; Detroit gave us everything and a lil more. They were gashing us on the ground, they were making catches across the middle. 1st Half they pretty much could do what ever they want. The game changer, the huge shift in moment was the ridiculous catch by Aiyuk. I heard the shift in the crowd noise after the score and after the Niners erased the 17 point deficit. Detroit fans I know it hurts but yall have heck of a team. Don't get down on Campbell.
The ball never lies.

Go Niners!
You gave them a short Field too!
it’s one thing to go for it against sub 500 teams, but you have to adjust when you’re up against the top teams… in the playoffs you have to take the points..
Whenever somebody says, "if you disagree then you don't know what you're talking about!" That means they know their case is weak and they're trying to fortify it😂😂.
Like the analyst version of "You're a casual"
Bosa and Chase had a superb 2nd half. Ohio State kids got it done. Chase has been non existent of late but dam did he show up stopping the run and getting huge tackles for loss the 2nd half.
Going for it works against Carolina. Against SF in the NFC Championship, take the freaking 3 points.

Bosa: Do your job!
Purdy: Hold my Beer.
There's a difference between playing aggressively and playing stupidly. Lions definitely played that stupidly. You can get away with that in the regular season and if you failed and lose off that you'll live to play another week, but in the playoffs it's totally different cause every point matters at this point. If this were the Dallas game Campbell would had been crucified for not going for the extra point when he was given 3 chances to do so.

From Europe : I'm glad to see Barry Sanders (55y) is still going well.
Perfect weather, the 9ers should have been firing on all cylinders from start, and... nothing. The 3rd quarter looks far too miraculous to be natural. Scripted game ?
Regarding the run on the goal line with under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter: if you run that ball there, you have to alerted your special teams to SPRINT onto the field to kick the field goal to put you down 7. It takes about 15-18 seconds and saves the timeout. We saw Cauldwell do this. It was missed opportunity.
I just want to see Sam Darnold and Christian McCaffrey get their first ring. I miss them in Carolina.
I agree. As a Panthers fan, it would be good to have them with us instead lol.
They won't.
KC should blow them out.
KC 45 SF 21. Reid is a genius coach with the best player in football. It's not rocket science. They just beat the best team in football last week with the probable MVP. Hello.
Mahones gets his 3 Rd ring easily. The only people who are trying to make this a game interesting is Las Vegas. They want the action. Shanahan will probably get fired.
It sucks. But San Francisco played better. No ifs or buts, Detroit played bad
When the lights come on at 2AM in the club, all your imperfections show…..beautiful comment!
Up 24 to 10 mid 3rd quarter. You have to kick a 45 yard field goal. Don't care what anyone says that's a bad call to go for it. "That's who they are" is not an excuse for being careless. Dan's a great coach but got way too excited
Chiefs and Niners deserve their success but man it really sucks seeing the same teams every single year. Really bad for the sport as a whole
Chiefs vs 49ers was honestly the best matchup we could get this should be a fun super bowl.
Well be mad at the other 30 teams for not getting it done... Don't be mad at us 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡💀💀💀✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿
Niners haven’t been to a superbowl in 4 years though…the Chiefs have made it to 4 now.
Dan Campbell is going to be named "coach of the year", yet he lost a game that an average 3rd grader who has a really basic knowledge of football strategy could have won. So he's coach of the year and has job security while Pete Caroll and Bill Belichick, both of whom would have easily won that game given a 17-point halftime lead, are unemployed. Make it make sense.
Yeah the same way that Pete Carroll made the smart decision to not run the ball in Super Bowl XLIX 🙄
Why do u think they value playoff experience so much? Because of games like that. Go ahead I wanna see u manage that game, the adrenaline of the crowd, the energy of the players, knowing every single decision u make will impact the game. I get what you’re saying and trust me I was angry watching the game but now that I’ve had time to think about it, coach Campbell stayed true to himself. This lions team will be good for years to come this won’t be their only opportunity
You do know the vote for coach of the year for the REGULAR SEASON right? Also we don’t even know he’s Coach of the year when there’s guys like the Texas coach as a finalist
Ryan Clark finally giving flowers to Purdy? 😂
It took them almost 12 minutes to talk about Brock , the hate is real
