Star Trek Beyond | Clip: "Well That's Just Typical" | UK Paramount Pictures - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Best part of the movie is the Spock and McCoy stuff. First two missed it. This one got it.
I laughed so hard during their parts, they're the best 🤙
@@manic8213 Yes the dialogue when Spock makes clear that Uhura wears a tracking device was the best.
When bones says "It's okay spock, you don't have to say it"... It's not a macho thing. Bones knows Spock doesn't like displaying emotion, even in these times. Bones let spock know that he knew what was about to be said so spock could honor his vulcan half's sensibility.
Almost like when Murtagh was stuck on his bomb strapped toilet and he looked at Riggs to tell him he appreciated him or even loved him as a brother, but Riggs finished his thought and said... "I know." Then Murtagh replies... "I mean it, man."
Somethings are just known between people without any dialogue.
Something fun to ponder is that Spock is very sensitive about his human heritage. If McCoy wanted to hurt him, that'd be the angle to go for. Instead every bit of trash talk McCoy throws at him is at how unbelievably Vulcan he is, the cold-blooded calculating emotionless pointy-eared green-blooded guy that he is. He's probably Spock's favorite person just for how much McCoy talks about his undeniable Vulcan-ness.
Eeyup.
McCoy: Well, at least I won't die alone...
Spock: sike
OH COME ON!!!!!! that is what i would've said if i was bones.
it's spelled psych, ain't it?
spock was like se yaaa looser
@@highstimulation2497 Wrong!
P-S-Y-C-H-E.
He said Leonard!
Yeah that's the actual name of Bones
I know I just don't remember him calling him Leonard in the other films....
+Dee 1955 Leonard "bones" McCoy
ok! so which episode in TOS was it? thanks.........
I've been a trekkie (as I call it) since 1975!!!!!!!!!! I've met George Takei. ;0)
spock is the legolas of this series because no matter what, even if he’s dirty and bloody, his hair is perfect.
Same Karl urban was in both franchises.
It's actually a helmet
And he has pointed ears
They act like an old married couple lol.
David Lape Are you Snape ? #LOL😂
Um, no. They don't. They act like two co-workers who have worked together for years. No gayness necessary.
and their child is kirk who tries to kill himself on a regular basis but always come back alive and both his "parents" are irritated that he seems to care so little about his life.
Right, cuz friends is always = Teh Gayness
Sandy Grungerson bruh it's not a statement that they're gay, it's a joke that they banter like a married couple, gay or not.
I just love it!! Those two have brought Spock and Bones back amazingly!!
Bones is so funny !
and handsome...
And a really nice guy in real life. (Met him this year)
Lucky you!! :-)
Can you believe he also played Eomer from Lord of the Rings? And then he turns around and does McCoy? Holy crap - the dude's got RANGE!
Don't forget Judge Dredd
The first and only time Spock calls bones by his first name
Bones is my spirit animal
Moments like this are why this was the best of the three movies.
The only one that got it right and actually understood _Star Trek,_ because it was written by a Trekkie, Simon Pegg. The real villain of the movie was the very concept of _divisiveness and aggression,_ and the hero was _unity and compassion._
@@AaronLitz but why did they have to destroy the Enterprise???????
I can watch that scene a thousand times and laugh every time. For every time McCoy stepped out emotionally and bared his human soul to Spock, Spock would always in return rip it to shreds and wonder in astonishment why McCoy would do it.
Deforest Kelley and Leonard Nimoy must laughing to this scene
They're dead Jim...
@@dray7276 I think he means they're laughing from heaven.
As a TOS fan, I approve of Karl Urban as "Bones" McCoy and Zachary Quinto as Spock, they had the same love hate banter.
I think I like all the characters in this Star Trek trilogy. They’re all likeable.😁
"Well that's just typical." When a member of staff doesn't show up for work and doesn't even bother phoning or messaging to say they won't be coming in today.
I think it'd be more they don't show up on the day there was a big project you both had to do even though the other person has never missed a day before that.
JJ-Trek got a lot of ST wrong (and don't get me STARTED on SW!) but these movies did recognize the necessity of maintaining an odd-couple pairing of these two characters. I'd say besides Anton's Chekov, Karl Urban did a fantastic job bringing that character back to life.
Let the haters which are a lot of hardcore Trekkies I have met over the years say what they wish but Star Trek Beyond is the best one of the Kevin era movies
I agree
I grew up with all of the Star Trek shows, enjoy all of them. I also enjoy the Kelvin-era movies, all three of them. Beyond is rather tops for me but it doesn't eclipse the other two.
Some folks are just too inflexible, and need to learn to get out from their basements now and then.
Perhaps, but not a high bar.
Hardcore Trekkies probably agree. It's the only one of the three that actually feels like TOS. They finally got the characters right. After Into Darkness, I didn't care if they made any more. After Beyond, I hoped they would.

2009 - bittersweet
-into dankness- - _doesn't exist_
_Beyond_ - actually tries to be _Star Trek,_ but suffers because the previous two burned the audience so damn badly
Right up there with "I know this ship like the back of my hand!" *BONK*
Bones is so completely over this crap with Spock
how is socks hair Still perfect
Spock
Socks is a great name for a cat.
Bad name for a Vulcan, though.
Andee Ruth cause Spock is perfect
Hannah Mary he's beyond perfect
Andee Ruth I'm glad we agree XD
I like when bones was about to fight
I can hear “That was Diabolical” as well.
This reminds me of Odo and Quark trying to climb a mountain xD
Urban is great !
Priceless!
COME ON THEN YOU BAST-
can i marry Bones ?
LittleWeirdo depends where you live, same sex marriage is not legal everywhere.
it's okay I think I'm a girl (I like your profil name)
LittleWeirdo profile picture made it appear you were male. My mistake. Thanks, the name picked at random.
Now also might not be legal based on age, "girl" most often under 18 so might be an issue, that and meeting the character and marrying a movie character are difficult.
I am of legal age, but you've got a point, meeting a movie character might be an issue in the process
I love that Quinto sounds just like Nimoy
I like spock
Well that's just typical, I so identify with the character of Leonard atm.
The third film in any trilogy is always the hardest to get right. How does Beyond compare to the other two? Is it just as strong, better, or the weakest entry in the three?
The good: Best space station in Trek, possibly in all of science fiction (but I haven't seen much) with a beautiful musical theme to match. I liked that the film managed to capture the themes Gene Roddenberry wanted to convey (optimism for humanity's future, diversity, reaching to the stars) with the new cast. Great tribute to Leonard Nimoy. Good character writing all around, although Sulu and Chekov tend to not get memorable moments like this. Special effects are this film's strength and weakness: space battles and scenes look amazing, but can drown the audience in action.
The bad: Lots of Maguffins (plot devices), almost like Simon Pegg had a bunch of really good ideas but not a deep story to tie them all together. Following up the Khan recycling with a film that blows up the Enterprise struck me as a little lazy, but it does make the crew's comeback more epic.
Of the three films, I think it was the most Trek like. What irks me more than anything is that at this point Paramount pretty much gave up on the franchise (to be fair, they were in serious money trouble and CBS wasn't helping matters), to the point of neglecting the marketing for this film. Hardcore fans were already turned off to the Kelvin timeline and bifurcating the rights between Paramount and CBS was one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen.
Well that's just diabolical m8
Sylar?
Butcher?
In tos there’s an episode where their roles are smiles but reversed
For all those who thought that Spock enjoyed messing with him, think again.
Best part of the movie 😂
typical bc spock has already been saved in a life threatening situation back on the volcano
Of course I care Leonard 😪😪
I always believed Chris Pine was a poor choice for Kirk, and I still do. It's not that Pine was not good as James Kirk, but there were other actors who would have come a lot closer to the William Shatner Kirk. However, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban, these were brilliant casting choices.
Yeah,so so many you named them all here.
I don't think that Pine was a bad choice. He made kirk his own character while still keeping what kirk was about. Rebel, with a heart of gold.
But you are right Karl and Zachary were the best cast
@@lauradufresne6628 He played a decent Kirk, so don't get me wrong. I meant bad choice, in that, there were other actors who I believe would have been far more superior in this role. So, in the end we got hamburger when we could have got steak. Sure, Hamburger is still good but steak is STEAK!
@@RumbleFish69 Well, considering Leonard Nimoy had a hand in picking the actor who would be his successor in this new timeline, and even in coaching or training him to play Spock, it makes sense that Zachary Quinto was able to play the role as well as he did. Karl Urban definitely nailed it on his own as Bones!
@@19TheFallen Wow, you know a fun fact. Good for you, buddy......good for you!
A movie in search of a plot
Spoiler alert: He dies of old age, I think.
Best part of an otherwise mostly forgettable film.
only good cast is mcCoy...
'The dialogue we have had across the years'… They met two films ago in this bizarro timeline. You can't use TOS' good feelings whilst crapping all over Star Trek.
Yeah but it's been at least 5 years in between star trek 09 and beyond. That's more than enough for 'across' the years.
@@OfficerFriendly2006 In 'in universe' logic maybe, but not in theatrical resonance. We aren't attached to these frankencharacters. We haven't been on years of journey with them. Their only meaning is that which was provided by the other cast and series, to which they bear only a passing physical resemblance.
@@FloatingOnAZephyr fair enough.
This movie was so stupid. How did Spock and McCoy get onboard the alien ship?
Terrible directing and writing. Awful film.
It is a real shame this is hte last Star Trek movie we will ever see in theaters.
