  • BRAKE SYSTEM FAULT STOP CAREFULLY - is a warning message often caused by an ABS pump malfunction for the later generation Audi’s which will also cause brake booster failure fault codes to be stored.
Once triggered, the fault code C123EF0 - Hydraulic Brake Booster Limit Value Reached will cause the ABS warning light to become constantly illuminated, both of which will remain unclearable.
We are seeing large numbers of these Bosch ABS units, across a range of Audi models, failing in this exact way.
    Common Failure symptoms:
Brake warning on the dash: ‘Brake system fault stop carefully’
    ABS warning light illuminated
C123EF0 - Hydraulic Brake Booster Limit Value Reached

I have this fault, but brakes Working normal, as usual, first I had yellow warning light -break servo restricted, then after few weeks of driving with this, the red warning light appears with this code. Do you know why breaks working normal, maybe is just some sensor broken?

Hi. If possible, could you scan the vehicle for any current fault codes you may have and send them to our technical support team at info@ecutesting.com, along with your make and model of vehicle and the symptoms of your fault as you have listed above. It's possible your ABS module is faulty, but a vehicle scan would potentially confirm this. Thanks

Hi, I have the exact problem which you describe in your video with the same fault code etc. I am based in Dublin, Ireland, can I send my unit to you for repair. If so what is the best way to send it, DHL, Fastway etc. Are there any issues with Brexit? I appreciate your time and look forward to your reply.

Hi. We are located in Derbyshire in the United Kingdom, however we do not offer a removal or re-fit service as we only work on the ABS module itself. We would recommend getting your unit removed by a qualified technician/garage and then sending your unit into us. Thanks.

Why is he wearing gloves that aren't ESD-safe while handling sensitive electronics? Blue nitrile gloves will happily generate static electricity and can easily damage semiconductors. Most ESD damage doesn't instantly kill a device but will shorten its life and cause premature failure.
