This song is so iconic. When SM released teasers for this, other companies postponed their groups’ comebacks that we’re supposed release around the same time.

GIRLS GENERATION Are The Legendary Goddesses Of Kpop, they marked a before and after in kpop, GG completely dominated in an era where Boy Groups were more loved and accepted, literally ALL companies postponed the Comebacks of their idols for fear of compete against them, that had never happened in kpop!
This song is so empowering, the lyrics, the rhythm, their voices and the concept is unmatched, The Boys was the best-selling album in kpop, defeating male groups and taking the best awards of the year as Artist of the Year at the MAMA, Song of the year, Album of the Year and Best Girl Group at SBS MTV best of the best

We Pink Bloods we're living this era GG were killing it with this MV plastered around every Samsung TV around the world in 2011. They made their American TV debut with this song too. Respect our Girls Generation!

oh god i truly did not expect this but snsd is the all-time nation girl group and honestly the first ever group that got me into kpop back in 2013! truly a legendary group.
This song actually had a mixed reception at the time when it was released. But over time, it grew to be one of SNSDs most popular songs. They all did well, but I personally think this was Sooyoung and Jessica's era.

As you say, Girls' Generation is 'QUEEN'. Furthermore, it is 'LEGEND'. You can understand the meaning of 3rd & 4th generation female artists having respect. This song that Teddy Riley made is wonderful, and it's great that the members of Girls' Generation express themselves with dignity. They appeared on the David Letterman Show with this song, but it's a pity that it didn't get much recognition in The United States of America.

I forgot the meaning or message of this song, but SNSD are already Kpop royalties because of multiple song hits and awards at that time, so some fans jokingly said that "girls, bring the boys out" are like taunting the other boy groups to bring it on. 😋
To reach the legendary status, SNSD / Girls' Generation have been very busy performing song hits, promoting (via tv, radio & social media), guiding and supporting newer groups (boys and girls), contributing to Korea's culture and basically doing a HUGE impact to Kpop😎.

The Boys was my intro to kpop. I always heard it on the radio (In the Philippines, year 2012?). I was 11-12 yrs old. Started really listening to kpop a year later. Have been around from 2nd to 4th gen. I’m 22 now lmao. I’ve seen it all, but I still go back to this song from time to time. I guess The Boys will always be my favorite ever😂
