  • This is the 22nd tour of our series, THE REAL TOURS, in which we provide an in the moment glimpse into a place with off-the-cuff commentary completely intact! No research, no script, just RRR letting you in on their insights and observations walking the malls.
We visited the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, NJ the day after Christmas hoping to film another Christmas Tour, but sadly the mall didn't have any decorations up except for the Santa display in center court. So, we get another real tour entry instead.
This tour was recorded on December 26, 2022 at around 8pm.

I live in Minnesota and a dead mall in Minneapolis turned an empty H&M into an indoor skateboard park. Five dollars admission pays the rent. Malls need to think outside the box these days.

Thanks for the vid! All the times I went to Atlantic City from central NJ, I never went west on 40 to see this place….

Ugh god, I loved this mall growing up!
It's so sad to see it like this, I remember skipping class to go hang out with my friends back in 2010.

    Slumlord... I was thinking Kohan...

Namdar is close enough in my book. 🙂

I wouldn't turn it around for the difference. Kohan and Namdar are pretty much the same company. They are connected through marriage (someone from one company is married to someone from the other company) and they are located within a 6 minute drive from each other. I think they are the same company gaming the system.

Hamilton Mall looks pretty cool. I like the columns, the space frame in the food court, the interesting store names, and it looks like a fun place to see at night. Wonderful video, RRR!

Hey, do you have any plans for an update at Monmouth Mall?

I was thinking about it sometime this summer actually.

This mall right now seems to be getting by on both its size (largest in SE New Jersey) and lack of nearby competition (only enclosed mall in both Atlantic and Cape May counties). Unfortunately, it's hard to be optimistic about its future considering Namdar owns it and the fact Shoppers World (that replaced JCPenney) barely lasted two years here because of the pandemic...

I guess Simon and Westfield must really think of people's safety of those people who fall into mall fountains since they always get rid of fountains in malls that they take over. Just sayin.

Can you do an Ocean County mall update? I’ve heard it’s been much better recently

Funny we have tried to get back to Ocean county a couple of times but we keep getting distracted by the bar at the Plaza One mini mall! 😅

I been watching these mall videos and I just think "Do we really need malls anymore?" My family spent a lot more time decorating our homes for the holiday versus going out to shop. Damn near all our gifts were either bought online or at Target/Best Buy/Walmart and our local specialty shops
