- Michael Knighton's preparation of a hostile bid to remove the current owners of Manchester United Football Club is moving closer. Here is the latest from the former director who is urging supporters to reject the Glazers Fan Share Scheme because it is a road to nowhere. Here is the latest interview with filmmaker John Gubba including new footage of Sunday's protest march led by The 1958.

I never knew anything could go lower than negative. Then i saw utd trying to panic buy arnautovic and rabiot. As a fan supporting for 15 years, it is absolutely appalling
It’s like they are purposely trying to destroy the club before they leave, they somehow manage to get every single decision wrong 🤦♂️

While arny been sat In Spain trying to buy a player that does not want to come to united or he does but won't leave because he's owed 17mill in wages
how about a total broken-hearted from as a fan for 3 decades since Cantona joined? Total disguising and shamble chaos!!
Been a fan for 32 years. Haven't seen anything like this.
Glad I saw this video. Watching from South Africa we can only look on in despair at what the Glazers are doing to out club, and without hope because it seems that other than the protests, nothing else is been done. Glad to see that there are talks or intentions to buy the A-holes from America out. That toxic family must go
I wish I fly there just to protest
Now, speaking as an American, if we could buy them out of the Bucs as well, that’d be great.
Me too

I love this club with all my heart, and football is most often my medicine when things are rough. The beauty of the sport is what keeps me going.. And its sad that im so tired nowadays and that i can no longer be excited for a new season with my beloved club Manchester United, simply because i know that these owners are not like Liverpools, or Citys, or Chelseas.. They don’t care if they don’t have a chance on winning the league, as long as they get their BS dividence, and all of this breaks my heart. This season is the first where i geniunly could not give a sh*t where we finish because under these owners, it will always be the same crap..
Copy&paste from a Sky Sports article:
Manchester United have spent more on transfers than any other club in Europe's top five leagues over the past decade.
United have recorded an eye-watering £903m net spend during the past 10 seasons - spending £1.3 billion and recouping £395m from player sales, according to a new study published by the Football Observatory.
In terms of net expenditure, United have outspent fellow powerhouse clubs Manchester City (£826.6m), Paris Saint-Germain (£790.4m) and Barcelona (£546m) - all of whom have won five or more league titles during that period, compared with United's sole title in 2012/13.

I just can't believe the fans won't organise it.
You don't need to give up your season ticket just don't attend the match for as long as it takes.
They're not going to take 50 odd thousand season tickets off people.
And just to add I've not been to Old Trafford for over 6 years now n will never go again untill they're gone.
I completely agree with the impact, but out of those 50 odd thousand, how many do you think REALLY understand what's going on or even care? Plenty and I mean plenty of familes/kids go to these games. They're not going to stop going.
@@kevinconway2965 That's why it needs to be organised. Its a big task but it's been done before like at AC Milan.
Even if its only 20/30 thousand it's noticeable and thats less money spent in the stadium aswell.
Protests do nothing if you're just gonna walk in the stadium n spend money.
Maybe start with one game, get it organised, don't stop people who want to go in from going in coz that's asking for trouble but the more it happens the more people will follow.
Maybe start with halftime walk outs n progress from there.Theres more than enough supporters groups that can come together and do it properly.

I agree with the protests and I am delighted that we not only have a voice but now we also have a solution to the problem: Michael Knighton.
I have never felt so aggrieved at my football club that I love so much
Supporting manu for 40+years
Glazers Must Go
Michael do your best
Thankyou Sir for trying
💔
It's been full circles with them for far too long
No United fan refers to United as manu, you've been supporting United for 40+ years yet you don't know that Knighton tried to buy the club with zero funds in 1989.
To a person with the kind of wealth it would take to buy United, Knighton looks like a pauper.
Honestly, you clubbing together with your mates are likely to get as close to buying United as that clown Knighton.
Well we need Ratcliffe this guy can take footballing decisions but he'll be bankrupt after taking over it seems
It pains me to say this but I think a louder message would be to actually boycott the O.T games altogether. An empty stadium so that the Glazers know that no one is supporting the decisions that are affecting what is happening on the pitch.
The spastics can't figure it out. They're still buying tickets and merchandise, supporting these vampires.
i Agree, with all due respect to the protesters but they are not helping their cause with buying the newest merch. Hit it where it hurts in the pockets.
Public perception is what the Glazers are extremely sensitive to. They know the fans hate them.. They don't care coz like you said.. Merch is being bought as are tickets. But an empty OT? That'll get news broadcasters around the world to talk about it.
Hopefully the match going fans have the mental fortitude to follow through.
The players also play better without a crowd there.
It's not going to happen. Season ticket holders will keep going, they will always sell spare tickets to tourists because they don't care who owns the club.
Knighton talking pure facts! Please keep doing what your doing, all united fans needs to stop going to games, stop buying kits, keep protesting! One way or another we have to get these muppet glazers out. GGMU 🔴
If the Glazers are Muppets (which they are) then Knighton's a Fraggle. You should not be so gullible.
Hostile takeover of a club 90% owned by the Glazers? Literally impossible. He's banking on us being too stupid to understand such a simple thing as that. He's just trying to put his name in the media for his own purposes, with the fans his willing useful idiots. Congratulations - that's you.
knighton went bankrupt several years ago.
Good luck to you. It didn't work with Arsenal because there's enough 'fans' to replace the ones who boycott the owners. Kroenke family are still our owners and still have no intention of competing with City or Liverpool.
@@ArrKayLondon wtf u are talking mate. Arsenal are slowly coming back it will take some time to rebuild. Please be patient. The kronke families are also spending money mate. Arsenal are going under right direction soon will come back don't worry

Love United Hate The Glazers: Glory Glory Man United !!!!
Thanks again the latest update John!
Tomorrow is a significant day. Because 10 years ago on August 10th 2012, Man Utd was floated on the New York Stock Exchange. The share price that day closed at around $14. Today (August 9th 2022), the share price is between $11.3 - $11.4. 10 years. The club has lost value.
What does that say? Quite simply, if you're an investor and you held your shares since 2012, you lost out. Sure the market is in a downward spiral as the global economy contracts. But the fact is this, if ownership was competent, this wouldn't have happened. The market knows the football club on the pitch is not competitive anymore, and it doesn't show any consistent growth in revenues off the pitch. So investors know Utd is not as attractive a financial prospect as it used to be.
If the team continues to perform badly into the first 3 months of the season before the World Cup break, that share price is going to fall even further. Market analysts are predicting that the Glazers would only consider a minimum £4bn in order to sell their controlling stake in the club. They will be lucky to get even £3bn if the team continues to perform poorly. And with the protests expected to continue, the damage of the football reputation will compound the clubs' relationships with sponsors, as TeamViewer have already announced their intention to terminate their sponsorship at the end of their contract in 2026. This will only hurt the share price more, knowing the club needs to recruit to strengthen the playing squad and redevelop Old Trafford, as the stadium has lost its international appeal to UEFA, and lost its domestic appeal to the FA.
So here we are: after 10 years post Sir Alex Fergusons' final season as manager, and the club debuting on the NYSE, what is there to show for the Glazers' ownership?
A football team that hasn't won a league title or European cup in that time period. 3 trophies in total, out of a possible 40. A failed attempt to create and join a separate spin-off competition that drew the anger of every football fan in Europe. 5 different managers, excluding 2 caretaker and 1 interim. Over £1bn net spend on player recruitment with almost none of them playing a significant part in on-pitch success, and most having left the club. Debt loaded in 2005 onto the club was £550m. In 2022, the debt stands at over £600m. Over £850m spent on interest repayments since the takeover in 2005. And a drop of over 20% in the value of the share price.
This ownership is not fit for purpose and will continue to hamper the economic and sporting performance of Manchester United if allowed to continue. All the major growth achieved in that period, was primarily attributed to the rising revenue of TV broadcasting agreements, and not the result of competent and fiscally sound ownership.
As per Joe Prince-Wright's op-ed on NBC Sports in May: "Under the right ownership, tarnished brands can be quickly turned back into gems." He elaborated using the case of AC Milan, a club that in the same time went through a similar downturn in sporting and economic performance, has now been revived under Elliot Management. Elliot invested into AC Milan, eliminated all of the team's debt, and in 3 years (2018-2021) turned $37m negative equity into $70m positive equity. The club won their first Italian league title in a decade. All the while enduring the same harsh economic conditions of 2020-2021.
Under the RIGHT ownership, Manchester United could become an even larger revival both sportingly and economically. I only hope that with the leadership and boldness of Michael's consortium, the market will show support for a takeover, because if the Glazers ownership persists, the market will (in the long-run) annihilate the value of Manchester United.
The time is now, Get them out!! I've not been to old Trafford since these leachs took over 🤬 what they've done is criminal, no more Glazers get out scum!!!!!!!!

Well I would sell if someone offered me 4 or 5 billion, it's the right time for them to sell, because the club as a whole is not making as much money, and eventually the club will be worth, less in a years time, the spotlight is on the Glazers, I mean obviously they could run it into the ground but I think if someone offered 4 or 5 billion as I said they would take that because at the end of the day they're business men and they want to make as much money as possible

Now that a buyer has reached out to the fans, it's time empty OT and a full stop buying merchandise. The share scheme is just to neutralize a big part of the UTD fanbase, as Knighton mentioned. Glazers are genius in this type of war they are facing, time for the people who love this club to strike back.
Nope. Complete rubbish. Find a willing buyer. Buyer makes offer. Glazers refuse offer. What's your next move? You can't force them to sell. A buyer hasn't reached out to fans. Knighton isn't a buyer. He's a mouthpiece look for publicity. He has no funds.
@@bargepoled yes we can force them to sell by attacking their sponsors and making them demand a sale. Look at how teamviewer has nearly bankrupted itself by sponsoring the glazers
@@alexandergubba1621 exactly. Look at how 3, Nike, Trivago and Hyundai pulled out or suspended their sponsorship at Chelsea when publicity got bad with Abramovich. Sponsors hate bad publicity.
Thank you Michael 🙏
Please do it and we will push for it
Big up to Michael Knighton 👊🏾🔥💪🏾
The guy's a clown. This won't even amount to an opening offer. Don't be so gullible.
@The Quiver around 5mil. United costs around 3-4.5 billion.
@The Quiver That's correct, I agree.
@The Quiver A guy with combined net worth of five million isn't going to form consortium big enough to buy multibillion company. Mark Goldberg from The united stand youtube channel probably has higher net worth and more chance of buying the team.
The biggest of big ups!
We the fans have the power to drive these leeches out. Boycott all games and refuse to attend. This will hurt them where it hurts # Glazersout
Boycott the brand's who support the gobshites. They'd sell in a week
Never happened english fan especially boomer the problem
Thank You Michael
I'm a United fan from Indonesia, if there's anything I can do to participate...I'll be glad to help
Violence and arson is the only way to get our club back. Attack the hospitality box and vip boxes
I couldn't agree more. Violence and arson step one. Michael Knighton step two.
Would love to see it, but, we need Sir Jim Ratcliffe if we want to stand a chance and compete in the future. Help us Sir Jim, you're our only hope.
Amazing video
I really love Man U from bottom of my heart..I want this club to be successful!!
Glazers out!!!
Idk if I can believe him because of Glazers PTSD but I hope he’s being serious
We don't want shares we want jim ratcliffe at man utd ASAP.

What I saw Sunday was so upsetting
We could win the quadruple and our fans will take Green and Gold scarves to the parade. The Glazers need to go. Regardless of success of the pitch. Enough is enough 🔰
I would like to Glazers to leave in hope of Manchester United getting an owner that is good with finances and also invests money in the club to pay off our debt (And doesn’t just do it for a single season to dupe the supporters but does a sustained investment over a long period of time) and also buy new better technically efficient players, invest in the infrastructure of the club, recruit better coaching staff, scouts and hire an ace sporting director but my big fear is that the club might end up with a Mike Ashley type owner.
I can confirm that Michael Knighton is nothing like Mike Ashley.
This is big!
I love it 👍❤️
#BOYCOTT ALL MAN UTD GAMES UNTIL THE GLAZERS ARE GONE
I remember this guy doing keepy uppies at OT many moons ago 😂
August 1989. He was doing keepy puppies before the first game of the season. We thrashed the then champions Arsenal 4-1. Unfortunately that was a smokescreen. We finished 13th that year out of 22.The worst position United finished since 1974(21st)
@@user-uk7pp8ic7u Even more important that day……..didn’t Neil Webb score 😂😂😂
@@pamberinehondo9447 He he did.Steve Bruce got 2.
@@user-uk7pp8ic7u You watched the recent video on YT that I didn't care to watch..
I was at the ground.
@@god_ynwa Believe me I remember that game very well I did not watch any video. The two following games we drew with palace 0-0 and lost to Derby 2-0 in away games.Believe me I support United since I was a child and I remember most thinks.
Make an offer, if its public the fan pressure will force them out.
Yes I agree with you Michael
I've been supporting the club for the past 17 years and I've not witnessed any major improvement since the the Glazers came. In terms of infrastructure, technical support or even the relationship between the club and the fans. I honestly think I supported the club because of Ferguson's vision and his relentless character of winning everytime.
Who did you support before that?
If the bid really comes in....then the fans will have to put more pressure....hope this will happen
Michael Knighton....our savior.
We really behind you....#glazersout
#loveunited
He is indeed the saviour, soundtrip.
Right time for this statement to come out
I'd sooner have the Glazers than Knighton
Thank you for your kind words Mr Jones, or should I say, Lord Lucan? anonymous Trolls like you make my life truly entertaining, 🤣🤣🤣 just love it
@@michaelknighton520 I see Carlisle United are still up for sale. I think that club suits you better.
@@michaelknighton520 So your definition of a troll is someone who disagrees with you 🤡🤡🤡
I'd sooner have Mike Ashley
Is this legitimate? Why isn’t this getting reported in mainstream media?
Usually things like this aren't reported until a bid is made or a deal is near completion, lots legal work and things to sign behind the scenes in my opinion this is all natural process so far!
Can’t trust MSM any longer mate
A ray of Hope !
Small window of hope. I'll take that for now. 👍🏻
If anything comes through I will look back to this channel and have nothing but appreciation. Hopefully we are nearing the end of this torrid ownership
I think he's a absolute dreamer if he thinks he'll get the 3-5 billion needed for them to consider.
Also MUST are an embarrassment, we need a new group speaking for the fans.
5 billion dollars is chump change to these guys
@@ASLIGHTCHANCEOFPWN Not for the people Knighton knows, if he had real links to Sir Jim Radcliffe the deal would have been done already.
@@GreenandGold He has links to Sir Radcliffe
If they have a group of five people or even atleast 3 they each put 3 billion in thts 6 billion maby a bit more 5 to 6 billion the glazers will sell
The club is worth around 4.5 billion. If this Knighton guy gets imo 6 billion together the glazers will sell. But not without pressure from the fans. Old trafford must be emptied for the Liverpool game.
I was a nipper when i was first taken to old trafford to watch george best, denis law against west ham,i cried walking up those terrace steps, when i heard the noise and atmosphere,it frightened me to death but at the same time, never felt an elation like it before,i hope it happens again one day,but its all about deep passion and love, money doesnt understand that, breaks my heart nowadays to the point of feeling like i am going to get a kick in the bollocks before it happens 🙏🔥🇬🇧
Support from Mauritius fan base🔥🔥 Just look at the spouses and family members of the glazer family during the Brighton game not a single emotion when we were losing, getting humiliated as in contrast with the layman who has paid huge money to watch the game was hoping heartily for the team to score..
We are just cash cows for them simple as that!!
Pointless joining these protests and blocking the mega-store lads in your brand new kits or the kits from last year etc! Stop buying club merch for starters! Nonetheless, good on you!
Buy imitations instead, support local business. Don't support the Glazers.
Protests are actually usefull. The CEO had admitted that sponsorships were affected because of it.
@@ukie713 yeah, they can be, but you've already shot yourself in the foot if you've already bought/been buying merch and feeding the Glazer regime before you've even began.
@@tochua for sure, think it'd be one of the few occasions where I'd wear a fake item with pride.
@@MorAodhan Apart from watching the matches through a subscription which enables me to watch all EPL matches, I don't contribute to the club commercially. I don't buy merch or any such paraphernalia. But that being said a concerted efforts by the fans to stop such purchases won't be effective because of the club's global popularity. Protest seems to be the only effective manner in which the club is affected. For eg. fans protest discouraged the club from pursuing Arantauvic and sponsors like Adidas are reluctant to tie themselves to higher contract values due to the protests. If it gets worse I assume the fans will stage a protest similar to the one when we faced Liverpool in one of the previous seasons when we were entering the super league.
In 1989, MK bought MUFC and had legal ownership of the club. He only ripped up the contract to silence the toxic media campaign waged by the jealous Robert Maxwell against him. So after 60 days as chairman MK stepped down and took a place on the board for 3 years. During that period United started winning trophies and making money using MK’s blueprint which laid the foundations for the financial juggernaut that our club became. He only left when the big 6 said they wanted to keep all the money. And out of principle he said he’d buy the 92nd club because he believes in protecting the pyramid. That period at Carlisle included both highs and lows. Today big clubs are bought by billionaires not millionaires and that’s the big difference. MK knows people who have the money and has the knowledge and strategy to advise the consortium. But he's not the man with the money. And these guys are not gong to pay more than the market value. That's why he knows it will ultimately need a more wealthy billionaire like Sir Jim Ratcliffe to take up the fight. At this stage it's purely about getting the Glazers to put the club up for sale.
Is it not possible to force the glazers out through court based on their fraudulent scheme? Or force it by pushing the prem league to change legislation behind how club finances are allowed to be ran. Paying multiple billions to these rat is like rewarding them for exploitation especially if you consider how much can be done with that money just to rebuild the club.
False information, since you know it all who is in the consortium
He never owned the club at all according to Wikipedia. Why pretend you know it all . United fans are getting out of control good day too your false information channel .

Absolute bollox. He couldn't raise 5m first time round.
Let's get the money and contract on the table!! Let's do this!!!
