- How to Repair 2000W Sine Inverter
Today, I bought a broken 2000W inverter from a second hand store. I will show you how to fix it.
Sửa kích điện 2000W.

The repair steps
-Check the fuse
-Check mosfet - Use a multimeter in diode mode. If a value of ~ 500 between pins D and S is a good mosfet, otherwise, replace the mosfet.
-Check the DC filter capacitor 12 - 24V
-Check the 310V filter capacitor
-Check fast diode
-Check PWM signal from SG3525 or TL494 (about 35Khz)
-Check the H-bridge mosfet (310VDC - 220VAC)
-Check the SPWM module and driver ic.
Replace broken components and test with 12 - 24v power supplies at 1A current. If the fault is still, the 1A current cannot damage the inverter.

Which is better, de-solidering the components and reading separately or reading the components directly on the board ?

With your help, I was able to identify 6 defect mosfets. If my inverter works after replacing those, I will buy you a cup of coffee. 😀
Boss how to repair power fault my power inverter after 5mins..
Oh god, thanks alot for the video, 100% content 0% nonsenses. Tired of all those 99.9% talking nonsense but 0.1% contents. Support your video !!!

Yes, I will design it, wait for me
@@PhdHung where are you from?? Bro
Can you share me the second hand store, please?
Envie seu zap para mim ou ligue para mim para poder ver o preço desse produto que eu estou necessitado desse
Wow - lots of parts to swap out - something I or 99.99% of people would never do..great result though.
I only fix motherboards or power supplies if simple stuff like blown capacitors and maybe diode pack or fuse. Thanks for the detailed breakdwon though...very informative.
Nice work and right- to-the-point video. Just Great. Please post more like this. Inverter repair shops want $$$ for repair like you did. 🎉
Excellent repair!
You make repairing an inverter so easy i have to say you are blessed with a lot of knowledge...!!!😲
You are great ! Thanks to you, I have repaired my inverter !
So much knowledge being shared here. Thank you
Superb repair. I love that you show what you're doing and why. It's very logical, and so satisfying to see the device working. You're one of the very best doing that on youtube (or I haven't checked well enough :D)
I also like the concise but very informative text you put in. Simple but super effective.
Thanks bro
@@PhdHung 18:45 where are fuses that you removed first?
Awesome job Weldone And thank you 💓
Very interesting especially checking pwm with oscilloscope, what needs to be inline to stop damage , your video is very instructive for repair . Thankyou for posting
This is hilarious. I'm still waiting for delivery on a 2KW 72v dc to 220v ac unit like this I ordered about a week ago. May be I should have ordered another filter cap and some MOSFETs to go along with it. LOL
You are just amazing...I never skip ads on your videos
Thank you so much
Awesome work!
You are a magician,congratulations ! I'm impressed
Thanks
Great video!! I like the way you use the solder sucker as if you were reloading a shot-gun! LOL!!!!
:D me too
Beautiful and straight forward repair. I burned a track from the on off switch of a 1500 pure sine wave. I was trying to attach an external switch for a battery generator project. Any way I reattached the track and I only get fault light to come on. No fan or power to the inverter. I did notice heat coming from pwm module ic. Could that be my only remaining issue? Thanks a bunch
Yes probably but make sure to check mosfets, capacitors, resistors etc.

Hi bro, love watching your videos. Any idea what could be the gauge of the wire for primary and secondary of the transformers ??
Great teaching
Thank you
AC work bare foot, you're a brave man ;) Loved the video, thanks for sharing!
i dont quite understand all of it... but this video is very helpful. thank you. you earned a new subscriber. and the inverter is exactly the same as the one im trying to fix 😀
I want to ask, how if mikrokontroler pwm pure sinewave is broken, can you repair that, because ic pic16f716 must be prorgramable first before we use in the kit
what a amazing work good job thanku for giving a chance to watch you
Nice video! I've got a Boost 3000 w model B3K inverter. The issue is that if I put a scope on the output, it only has the top have of the modified square wave, not the lower half of the waveform. What's the most common cause of that?
i'd like to know too; guess mosfet or mosfets on one side shorted out; or the mosfet drive for one side?
excellent job, well done.
Thanks bro. Have a nice day
Wow. Brilliant work.
thanks
Saludos desde Colombia. Gracias por compartir.
I have a question, What are the correct measures of the spwm signal? I mean what are the limits? Thanks for the video!
Beautiful work!,Thanks for sharing it!
Hi grate video.
I have 3 out of 4 mosfets blown in my inverter irfb13n50a but they are not available. I dont no how to deside an alternative. What do u suggest
Hello, first i want to thank you for this great tutorial. I have some questions about how this inverter works. Why there are so many transistors? Which ones are for H-bridge? Are the biggest ones or 75NF75(and if they are not, for what are they)? Also why there are 2 pcb for PWM? The most important question is how it becomes sine wave from PWM, because at the gates of MOSFET's u've got a pwm of 36kHz and some 71Hz on the second ones? I'm sorry for the many question, you are my only hope. Thanks!
The SG3505 control the MOSFETs in the DC boost section and the spwm driver produce the sine wave at the output(The H-Bridge )
Thank you for sharing this, I have a 3,500 watt inverter and I wanted to replace a couple of MOSFETs . The part number of my inverter is FB38N20D P038D and I found one on Amazon with part number FB38N20D P826D, could I use these or are they a different number all together?
You're REMARKABLE 👌
Having tested the mosfets like you have shown, a couple beeped which indicated they are burnt.
However a couple only beeped on toucing one pin but not the other. Does this indicate these are burnt as well. 🇬🇧
Great! Thanks for showing.
Very good video
Hello sir, I have a 2000w modified sine inverter. The AC voltage is 330 v and one of the 400v volt electrolytic capacitors at the output starts to heat up after a few seconds. Where should I look for the problem? I would be glad if you help
Bro, Im excited for your Silver playbutton 💓
@@PhdHung Bro, I bought Mt7601 and in the datasheet its operated by 3.3V . I supplied 3.3V but not work, can i use 5v? I bought the one that you search in the net in the video of wireless camera
Nice video👍👍👍👍 where do u get your electrical components?
Buen trabajo exelente
Very good information about inverter and good teaching. Love from Pakistan thanks
Very nice and informative
Thanks bro
please which is best mosfet among irf1404 and 3205. please explain to me
Sounds like you have a busy shop, good video thanks, hope it was worth it, a lot of work.

I fix the inverter with the same brand but different wattage, the voltage in the SPWM high voltage section only comes out voltage 2 of the 4 gates. guess what we're broken? thank you
Could you please tell me this SPWM manufacturer? I'm from Brazil and I can't find it in any site from China.
Pins: 10+6 pins. Regards
thank you
Very good troubleshooting
I love ur explain sir very 👍 Good sir
really thank you so much
very nice video do u have the block diagram of the circuit where is 3845 and sg3525 used . why two trans formers .
2 trafos in parallel, instead of one big one
Wow! You are amazing, great job! Greeting from Brazil!

Fascinating video.
My AIMS 2000W inverter cuts out at 440W. Any thoughts?
Very nice. thank you.
i Have a probleme with a 800w 12v pure wave inveter the output tension is between 150-160v but cant reach 220.What seams to the problem from your experience ?
Awesome. Thanks.
Nice presentation. Thanks
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !
Very Helpfull Knowledge
Thanks, hope you enjoy it
Hi the samlex 1500 12v that I told you before is now showing over load. I change some of the mosfet as you told me and now giving me a trouble again. I appreciate very much if you guides me how to fix.thank you so much.
That style of clamp used to hold the MOSFETs and diodes to the heat sink is much more effective than just bolting through the mounting hole of the TO-220 package.
Good work thanks for the video
Good job thank you for the video
thanks bro
Super. I have the same PCB but with different problem. Is there a circuit diagram available?
Nice work bro.
Thanks bro
I personally would've changed the other two MOSFETs to match the new one.
BTW good job
Thanks
Very good
Tem como fazer um transformador desse de 12 para 220enviar para me dizer o valor para poder pagar
I have a 12 volts 1000 watts tbe inverter, the output is 289v. How to fix this sir?
Dear Bro, Is it possible to get the Data sheet of the SPWM sine wave module?
Thanks .

Good effort
This is great, I have a question for you, can you convert a pure wave inverter from 24v to 12v?
Good job !!!
i like this video thanks you
Thanks bro
Parabéns gostei
Good knowledge
Thank bro
How can we determine by seeing component of inverter that it is really a pure sine wave inverter? Which component makes it pure sine wave?
The big toroidal copper coil (2mh) on the output side in combination with the big foil condensator (2,2uf 630V) builds up a low-pass filter. This low-pass filter eliminates the high carrier frequency (mostly 50khz square wave) where the 50Hz sine wave is modulated in. And after that the only thing left will be the 50hz sine wave. It is almost the same working
principle like a class-d amplifier. In a normal modified sine wave inverter this low-pass filter doesn't exist.
Nice work bro, Very helpful ⚡ Bro, I seach the data sheet of Mt7601 wifi mudule and it works for 3.3V, i bought it. But now work on 3.3v, Can I supply 5v? Like what you did on Wireless camera? But on the datasheet rated voltage is 3.3V
repairing very good
Good sharing teacher
Hello. Thank you for your very interesting and well explained video. I have a 24v to 220v inverter which had a problem (blown fuses). I replaced the blown fuses with new ones. When I turn on the inverter the continuous current is detected, on the other hand the alternating current nothing happens. I had noticed that the MOSFET were hot when I turned on the inverter. I don't know if it is because of the MOSFETS that the alternating current does not occur. If you have an idea or direction to give me, I am interested. thank you very much
Test MOSFETs as he did
@@supermick83 ok thank you very much
My samlex inverter is still working great and I want to convert it from 12 v to 24 v is it possible? If ok can you please lead me the way how ? Thanks.
It is better to buy a voltage converter from 24V to 12V (95 percent efficiency). It is cheap, but can handle current only up to 20A. You will find it in the needs for photovoltaics. I would not modify the inverter, because a normal battery supplies 12V, which you will appreciate in various situations. So it is better to have a voltage converter, which you can disable at any time.
Hello, nice repair! I have the same inverter with the same mosfets broken, but unfortunately I have no pwm signal to the mosfets, and there's no 5V present (display and 12V are present). Where does the 5V normally come from? 03003A?
Hello, can you make it with lcd indicator for monitoring?
Thank you so much! Love your video! Please help me I got the same brand as this one you fixed but mine is 4000W! I accidentally plugged the AC current into my inverter’s 220 outlet, then it smells like something burned but I could not find it! When I tested it it works but produce low wattage below 100W as I estimated! Please help what part should be checked first? Thank you
Check out the H-bridge and the IR2113 driver ic first.
@@PhdHung Thank you will try sir!
