- This is why most golfers can't achieve great ball striking with every golf club. Never try to hit down or hit up but learn to control these two areas in your golf swing.

Excellent lesson. It’s interesting to see that your swing is 3 to 4 degrees down. You’re obviously not “ hitting down”. Your emphasis on ball position really completes the picture. Many thanks.
Excellent instruction !!
Awesome video lesson!
Great simple instruction ,will be giving it a go to stop my inconstant ball strike. thanks
Thanks for this video/lesson Ali. Something I suffer with is hitting the ball that results in a lower trajectory.
Love your channel.. I wish you would use way more slo-mo (and sometime even super slo-mo) so we can see what your hands are really doing and where the low point of your swing is. Without slo-mo all I see/hear is that you hit the ball and the mat but not much resolution :-)
It's all about shifting that lead hip all the way forward directly above the lead foot + bending the knees to get a lower point of ground contact+ keeping eyes and face looking at contact point through the swing.
Every thing explained nicely I tend to hit my irons low will try and move the ball more forward
Hope it helps
This may sound odd but I simply miss the ground altogether more often than I hit it. Odd coz the earth is a fair size to miss!!! (Wrote this half way through!)
I lean the shaft an inch forward & look a ball ahead of the real ball which works for me but I’m visually impaired so it’s just something I’ve found for me
Going to save this one
how do you know you are hitting ball then turf when using a mat. i don't have a trac man or anything like that. on real turf you can spray a line and see where your divot is.
Yes I’ve been told to hit down
Take a drink every time he uses the phrase “straight away”. 😅😅
Instant changes!!!
I'll skull an iron shot at least once a round,'ll try it
weve all been told for years TO HIT DOWN FFS now its dont hit down.... any wonder why no one is getting better!
If your low point is good you don’t have to try and hit down. You always get better if you work on the correct area. Golfers try and change everything all the time, that’s why they don’t get better!!
