    I really enjoyed watching your video coz
    1) you worked really hard.
    2) you showed the entire process even though you made a mistake
    3) Ultimately you showed us the correct way.
    Huge Respect from 🇮🇳

    I also made the mistake of thinking chevy Silverado seats would fit in my van. Ended up finding some seats out of a GMC Savana van. Great videos.

    Looks great!
    Front seats: fill the butt area of the seat with stuffing and then duct tape the ripped areas. Then, buy the mid grade seat covers and cover them. I have power seats in my Gen2 and the more you fiddle with tabs and connectors, other gremlins can arise.
    Carpet: can also remove existing carpet to use as a template for the new carpet.

    Astro/Safari second row Captains chair bracket can be used in the front passenger seat and with a $30 bracket, you can have it spin around, to face the rear

    Your channel, Michael Z's and Static Van are my favorites. It's because all of you take time to carefully explain the front and back end, the nitty gritty of not only van building, but van living AND teaching others. One thing I'd like to see is adding a short list of materials used if you'd have time even the type of spray glue. My first language isn't English so some words especially automotive language goes poof over my head. I also really enjoy how you're not afraid to show 'mistakes'! Keep up the great work 😎🤟

      You are awesome! I almost always add links to products I've used in all my videos in the description, so you should see everything I have used! I enjoy fixing and creating things, and I try my very best to explain as much as I can without dragging the videos along. I created a new channel where I only work on the Astro van, which would suite you better than this channel if you are interested: czcams.com/users/buildsunited

    Enjoying the build series. Embrace the look of your one of a kind Astro!! I also have a mixed interior. Little bit of this, little bit of that.
    Got stuff from a pull parts yard. Van came with grey, we harvested blue instrument face, visors and seats with lumbar adjust.

      Do you have similar blue seats as the ones I found?
      One of a kind is definitely the best kind. Why be average?

      I would definitely keep with something OEM if you want to avoid the headache. Found the blue ones at the junk yard in near perfect shape.
      And, definitely replacing it with some sort of carpet would be a good idea.
      I would definitely encourage you to add some sound deadening underneath.
      You’ll thank me later

      Try a conversion van seat company for your seats. They sell full carpet kits online for the Astro van.

    • @AutoMotivate

      My first assumption would be your fuel pump. Buy a fuel pressure gauge off of Amazon and check your PSI. You can get to the fuel rail through the dog house.
      It should rear 55-60PSI. I have a video on this

    what kind of carpet did you buy? or what do you recommend now that youve done it?

    • @AutoMotivate
      @AutoMotivate  Před 2 lety

      I bought an "eco friendly" carpet from Lowes. I am not sure the actual name of it, but the carpet traps stuff very easily, so I do not recommend what I used. I don't have any recommendations either.. Next time, I think I would buy a product that's labeled Automotive Carpet or something. Perhaps look on Amazon. I found this fairly quickly, and it might just do : amzn.to/3orQs2T

    Nice fun project. Do those shampoo vacs work worth a damn?

    • @AutoMotivate
      @AutoMotivate  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes! I think they are definitely worth it. I use it for random stains that pop up in my homes carpet, as well.
      You could use a spray bottle of soap, brush and a shop vac, which would have similar results.
