Recurrent colorectal neoplasia after endoscopic resection may be challenging and can be approached by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) or full-thickness resection. This retrospective study assessed both resection methods among 275 patients with recurrent lesions after endoscopic mucosal resection. ESD achieved R0 resection more often than full-thickness resection device (FTRD) procedures, with a correspondingly lower recurrence rate, with the exception of lesions of smaller than 20mm, for which the FTRD procedure was considered comparable.

    Dear Matthieu
    Excellent study, congratulations.
The ESD perforations were 16.3%? Have the post-EMR cases been selected or unselected according to the probability of R0 resection and possible complications?
