The four Argentine "suspects" traveled and entered Brazilian soil, cleared the stadium security, were presented on the roster, sang the Argentine national anthem, played 6 minutes, before the "calculated" disruption took place. The Brazilian government and futbol federation, new about the four players and instead of intervening yesterday, this morning, 5 minutes before the game, they tactically waited for the game to start. Brazil was at a disadvantage against Argentina (even without those four players), and having just lost to Argentina in the Copa America final, they could not handle losing again, and having the world think, that Argentina is the new "boss" of South America. This goes beyond pride or futbol tradition, we're talking major money through Nike and other endorsements and channels of income revenue world wide. The Brazilian Futbol Federation used TACTICS!!!

According to Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) the players gave false information, as soon as they arrived in the country, they were quarantined at the hotel, but today the athletes participated in a training of the Argentine national team, disregarding the rules. This information made the Anvisa call the Federal Police, on Sunday morning, and ask for backup to go to the delegation's hotel. When agents arrived at the scene, the players were already on the bus that would take them to the match. At the stadium, the Federal Police and Anvisa would have been prevented from entering the Argentine team's locker room and even embarrassed. As a result, agents from both agencies entered the field to remove the Argentine athletes. As a result, Conmebol suspended the match.
At various times, football authorities in both countries claimed that they were trying to obtain authorization from the Brazilian government, which was never shown to Anvisa or PF.

Apparently, they had been warned that if they left the hotel there would be repercussions. They were already issued deportation manifestos by the health authorities. So what about entering a country with false statements? I guess it's a crime in EVERY country in the world, right? So, we have to pass over our international laws and agreements, ignore a crime, ignoring the absolute lack of respect for another country... just so you can see a f match?
Instead of breaking into the locker with the police (since Argentines ignored ALL warnings), the authorities just politely interrupted the match to deport the players.
"They could have waited to do it after the match", you would say. But until then, they never really counted with Argentine collaboration, right?
What would you do in their place?
See ARGENTINA decided to end the match because they would play without their 4 players... despite ignoring all legislation and warnings of the health authority, now they cry foul?
Well... what "clubs deciding" anything have to do with criminal legislation in another countries? Can you explain that to me?

Ok so Anvisa just released a public statement, explaining everything here is what they say, Anvisa is the sanitary agency, they say -once we noted 4 argentine players falsified documents, we quickly took actions to enforce the law expedited. (Law said if you came from England and you were not a brazilian citizen, you would have to quarantine 2 weeks). We tried to contact the Argentine commission at the hotel, but our access was denied and agents were made fun of, we early stated these 4 players could not play the game, upon noticing there was being an intervention, to deny our access to the hotel, we called for police support to be able to go to these players and deport them. Upon police arrival at the hotel, these 4 players had already entered the bus and head to the stadium. We had surveillance at the stadium monitoring the situation, before the match we tried to enter the players (Argentina) locker room, but their locker room was locked from the inside. Upon seeing the players entering the field, we called for police backup to remove these players from the field. End of statement. My personal opinion: authorities were slow to act very much slow, also could they have acted upon airport arrival maybe? Not everyone keeps track of what people are doing worldwide even famous people, local authorities have to deal with many tourists and immigrants everyday. If it is proved the players falsified papers upon entering Brazil, then players are at fault, also it is said in the statement, that the sanitary agency tried to contact the players many times, but where denied access to players. Also locking up from inside the locker room, means something is very wrong as if someone was trying to cover up for the players. The statement also says that the agency informed all soccer parties involved, about the rules. Here we have Messi saying one thing and a sanitary agency saying another thing, who would you trust in this situation? About William entering and not doing quarantine, he is a Brazilian citizen. There is a law that says Brazilian citizens who re-enter the country are not required to quarantine.

Good for Brazil. I think this is all because of UK and FIFA. FIFA approves that a player may not join his national team if his Premiere League club does not allow that player due to UK's red list quarantine restrictions. In old times, FIFA would impose penalties on clubs who dont allow the players for national teams. Brazil lacked many players from Premiere League (alison, Gabriel jesus etc) so it is unjustice. Argentine side tried to bypass Brazil's equal restrictions for the passengers coming from UK. FIFA's tolerance towards Premiere League is not acceptable, almost all the English, Welsh, Belgian players plays in Premiere League, if one of them were in the same qualifying group with UK'sredlist countries Turkey or Montenegro, they would not put any team on the field for the away matches. UK did the same shit during Euro2020, they played every match in London with full capacity stadiums and did not allow any fans from other countries due to covid restrictions. Miraculously, they removed the restrictions for EU citizens just two days after the Euro2020 final match.
