I am so happy that you have introduced Dimash to these Wonderful people and I thank You . This performance was on a talent show in China, Dimash was chosen as a wild card and expected to sing maybe one song and he would not last on the show. All of the other singers that competed are professional singers from China. ( Dimash was the first ever from a different country to compete ) Here Dimash is 22 years old and was the first to sing, that is why the other singers were so blown away because they had never heard him sing before ( they didn't know who he was ). Dimash is now 27 years old and believe it or not has gotten even better with his vocals. If you ever want to do another Dimash video I think I would suggest the song Stranger. Thank You again, I am a 75 year old Dear ( Dimash calls us Dears because we are close to his Heart and we support him always. I am from the USA and I Love your Channel and all the people on it. 💖💖
My favorite performance from Dimash is from this very same show when he sings Opera nr 2 by Vitas. But I think there is some problems with the rights to that song which stops Dimash from singing it again.
@@1Dreamking Yes, that was an awesome performance. People don't seem to know this, but at one part it looks like he is singing that opera but you don't hear anything, it was proven (with a machine) that he was singing in a register that human ears can't hear, perfectly on key. AMAZING!
@@1Dreamking From what I have heard....Vitas banned Dimash from singing his song Opera 2. I don't know if it was from jealousy, because Dimash did sing higher than Vitas did. But, it is the same thing when Dimash sang Hello by Lionel Richie. He is not allowed to sing that anymore either. But, I have to say that I Love everything that Dimash sings and my favorites from the 2017 I am singer show are Adagio and Daididau. Have a Blessed New Year 1Dreamking....Peace and Love

@@greatgrandmomb486 I think the problem was that the Chinese singer show didn't get the proper permission for those two songs and that created the issue and both Vitas and Lionel Richie's labels or whoever said he can't perform their songs again. It's very unfortunate.
Dimash was just 22 years old here in China (not Indonesia) singing SOS in French in 2017. He is a very proud Kazakh. Today he is 27 years old and is widely considered to be the greatest vocalist of all time with the worlds widest and most beautiful vocal range. He is a very highly educated vocalist and musician and plays multiple instruments including the ancient national Kazakh instrument the Dombra, sings in 15 different languages and is at present studying for his PhD whilst pursuing his busy international career.

@@FluffysMum every singer is uniq in their style . But if you are mentioning his range there always been counter tenors singing high notes in opera. That is rare but it doesn't make him the greatest . At least in my humble opinion 🌻
@@atefehz6606 range is not just high. I prefer his low end personally. He sings in the second octave without vocal fry and into the first with it. He can be in pure head voice or falsetto into the sixth. Female singers often are hitting whistles by then. For me it is his emotional connection to his songs that he conveys. The high notes tend to show his emotions but the lows are just smooth and gorgeous to me. Everyone though has their own taste and that should be respected. Even if Dimash is not someone’s cup of tea. Which is understandable, his technique and ability should be admired. 😊
@@atefehz6606 He is not a counter tenor . He's a dramatic tenor or a high ( lyrical ) baritone . Even vocal coaches can't determine it . Dimash slaying every register . Counter tenors have a high voice and can't sing like baritone , let alone touch a bass like Dimash . Research an artist first , listen to more performances , and then rate . With respect 🙏 ❤

- Dimash Kudaibergen was born in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, on May 24, 1994. It is now 191 cm tall.
- Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. Samaltau in tokyo jazz festival would be perfect: traditional kazakh instruments and style.
The gentleman with the white beard was entranced by Dimash's voice. He also had a great eye and ear for the talent and technique he has/uses. Dimash has been trained since early childhood as a vocalist by at a minimum, his parents. If memory serves me correctly, his mother is a classically trained opera vocalist. Being Kazakh and so close to Mongolia, he likely has Mongolian, Chinese, and Indonesian backgrounds. I will admit that he is by far among the most talented vocalists on Earth. He seems to use a mix of Bel canto (beautiful singing/speech level singing/opera singing), rock, pop, and jazz to round out his voice. Such elasticity, endurance, timbre, and purity of tone in a voice like his is exceedingly rare. Some voices like Russell Watson singing "Faith of the Heart," and Hayley Westenra singing "May It Be" would be songs that show their abilities and similarities to Dimash. Russell originally sang opera but, sings pop music now. I would love to see the ladies and gentlemen react to Russell singing "Faith of the Heart" and hear their opinions on the message the song is giving us This was a great video, truly beautiful, and goes to show that music can transcend language, ages, and cultures! Simply a superb video!
He doesn't have indonesian background, according to history Kazakh is mix ftom Turkic people and medieval mongolian. However indonesian has also mongolian background.

Well , Kazakhs are generally considered to be 70% of Asian descent and 30 % of Caucasian, we are a big mixture of different nations which lived on the territory of Kazakhstan for thousands of years or lived in close proximity (Scythians, Huns, Turks, Mongols, Finno-Ugoric tribes, Siberians). Anthropologically we belong to South Siberians (some people call it also Turanoid). Religion- Islam (for most of population in a quite liberal form). Linguistically and culturally - Turkic and Central Asian (Soviet Union has left its own big mark on our culture) with nomadic roots. Chinese didn't have much influence on our DNA, only 1-5% and even found not that often, compared to them more often we have some Finnish or native Americans connections. We've never been in contact with Indonesians due to the distance between us.

Dimash is from my Kazakh tribe Junior Zhuz. I did my DNA testing twice and results showed I have zero Chinese or Indonesian DNA. Kazakh are Eurasians and we typically don’t look like East Asians or Southern Asians. Most people in my tribe born in the Western Kazakhstan or even in Russia. As you can tell we have big eyes, high cheekbones and could be mistaken for Latinas, Mediterranean or Iranians very often. Men are usually tall. Our Kazakh language is originated from the ancient Turkic language. Mongolian language and Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese languages are not in the same language group as Turkic languages. Kazakhs are Muslims. Mongolians and Chinese are not. Culture and traditions are different, too. Nothing in common. We are close to Turkish and Iranian culture because of our shared history. I hope I provided a brief overview of our Kazakh culture.
Both Dimash’s parents are well known singers in my home country of Kazakhstan. His mom is a soprano singer, performed at opera houses before. He studied opera singing since a kid and won many competitions in Kazakhstan and internationally , including a piano competition.
I think he is just a naturally gifted singer who puts in a lot of work daily. He is a very humble person.

@@rachaelghostcat8584 You've probably just discovered him recently because he wasn't so much known in the West. Kazakhstan used to be Soviet colony. Kazakhs managed to get their independence in 1991 when USSR crumbled. So, Dimash didn't have too many opportunities to make himself known in the West. He participated to some competitions in the East. China's 'Singer' competition of professional vocal artists never accepted foreigners. But the organizers heard of him and invited him as a guest. Overnight, he became a superstar in China, and got the 2nd place after being pushed to compete. Gradually, a lot of westerners discovered him due to some concerts he had in NY and LA. Plus, his fans all over the world pushed his name, and followed him physically wherever he goes.

He did win some music award late last year. Forget what it was. I like GABRIEL HENRIQUE too and he started off in a contest too. He can do some pretty high notes like Dimash but I don't know about his lower register. Gabriel has his own CZcams channel. Just saw him sing STAND UP before looking at this and boy did he do some high notes in it.

Ave Maria (is not the 1 you know, has no words, & sounds like what angels sound like). Adai + Daididau from his Bastau concert- this was his 1st big solo concert. His government actually paid for it on the heels of his success on this competition show. He is truly the most humble highest character artist I’ve ever encountered. He’s always dreamed of sharing his kazakh culture & music with the world. So this Adai+Daididau performance at Bastau was his 1st big chance. He brings over 100 kazakh musicians into the piece. He looks like a kazakh prince. He plays the dombra. The song is beautiful & epic, & his interaction with the audience is so dear, he is overcome with emotion by the end. You will fall in love with this special human. You’ll also want to see Daybreak from same concert. This guy is just amazing. I’ve never been a fan to the point I spend time promoting someone to strangers online before. He truly is a gift to this world, especially at this tumultuous time. I hope you get to experience these & many more !! 💛😇

While Dimash has many fans around the world and has sold out shows in many countries (including a show in New York City), he still hasn't quite had a "mainstream" song introduce him to more people off the internet. Outside of China, many (or maybe most) of Dimash's fans discovered him through reactions like these, so if you don't watch a ton of music reaction videos, it's not really that much of a surprise that you haven't heard of him before. However, I definitely recommend watching every song of his you can find, both on and off his CZcams channel!
I discovered Dimash a couple years ago here on YT singing this song... and even though I've watched a ton of his videos SOS is still hands down my favorite. It's just a beautiful song and the way he performs it is amazing.

I am so blessed to live in a time that there is YOU TUBE where the world can experience great GOD GIVEN TALENT. But the talent is wasted if the artist is self-absorbed and self-involved or self-destructive. (Yes, he has worked for a couple of decades developing his instrument. That is evident.) But DIMASH stays humble and grateful and ALWAYS, ALWAYS THANKS THE AUDIENCE AND MUSICIANS AND ANYONE INVOLVED. вообще-то нужно смотреть и клип в исполнении Грегори Лемаршаля-это с него взята версия Димаша(а не с оригинального из французской оперы-последняя фраза говорит-"спи моя малышка"-это главный герой обращается к своей умершей подруге-и логически никак не соответствует версии Димаша,но служит красивой оконцовкой песни) и титры на русском языке.А потом ещё посмотреть пару-тройку реакций на русском языке от преподавателей/учителей по вокалу-именно на SOS трёх-четырёхлетней давности-они буквально по кадрам рассказывают все нюансы вокала Димаша,а не то что эти-прослушали как обычные слушатели и ничего кроме необычности исполнения и широкого диапазона не заметили...

His cultural music I think k that’s enjoy a lot . I like Kieli Mekin , Know -vocalise , Stranger, bc of the Asian sound / melismas he makes . He’s into his 7th octave now and crosses genres .

My number one for these wonderful people I think would actually be Adai + Daididau from Bastau. I think they’d love seeing how much his culture means to him. I think these people would appreciate the depth of meaning in Omir Oter (way more than 99% of the reactors) & appreciate that type of earnest heartfelt artistry rarely seen. Also Hello & All By Myself from the Singer competition for their various amazing aspects.. It’s so hard with Di. 🚨Oh duh!! I REALLY want them to see AVE MARIA!!… That might have just shot to the top of my list & I definitely don’t think they’ve seen anything like that. No words, one vowel. The sound of heaven for 4 min straight. Trybals is such a better fit for Dimash’s depth of character & performances because they really naturally gravitate to the deeper meanings & FEELING/experiencing the music.

However if/when you do Opera 2, as this commenter states, you can find the extended version on Gloria wu’s channel- that show his interactions with his father that is so endearing. I actually think they would REALLY love the message & video of his newest release- Omir Oter, meaning “Life is Short”. It’s less about his huge vocals or crazy showmanship & more about messages that I think would mean a lot to them. Lastly they would also love Adai + Daididau from his Bastau concert- Dimash is very patriotic & it’s his dream to introduce kazakh music & culture to the world. He dreamed of performing this song on a world stage, & this concert was his 1st big full concert. He brings over 100 kazakh musicians in this performance, he looks like a kazakh prince, he plays the dombra, the song is beautiful & epic, & you get to see so much love between him & the audience he is overcome with emotions by the end. 💛💛💛 They will really love it & all these suggestions show different styles & sides to him.

I haven't heard of Dimash before, of course he has such an amazing voice and wide vocal range. When I watched him perform, I also thought of Vitas of course and the song Opera 2. Haha actually Dimash performed Opera 2 in the 2nd episode of this competition, the following week after this performance! He goes up 3 more times higher than the original, fully live 🤯🤯🤯. All the Vitas performances I’ve seen are heavily auto tuned or lip synced. It’s fun, but you should see Dimash’s rendition.. (incidentally either Vitas or his management forbade Dimash from ever singing it again, because he was so spectacular 😬) And neither of these 2 songs even begins to give you an idea of all he can do. From rap to pop, Arabic sounds. Unbelievably versatile

I have watched this song over 400 times, many times listening to people’s reactions. Such a delight. My favorite English one is Adagio. He is now working on his Ph.D. In Music.
