About the Speaker:
Vanita Viswanathan Ji has a rich background as a seasoned professional in the development sector and a dedicated social entrepreneur, accumulating over two decades of experience. She served as the CEO of Udyogini, a non-profit organization committed to empowering impoverished women in socially secluded areas of India. Before her tenure at Udyogini, Vanita Ji contributed her expertise to the World Bank in Washington DC. During this period, she played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and spearheading the Women’s Enterprise Management Training Outreach Program, an initiative promoted by the World Bank Institute. Vanita Ji holds an MA and MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University and earned her PhD at the University of Texas, Austin, USA.
