Thanks for the video. The duralast battery I got from autozone, the shield/protecter couldn’t fit, the battery is too long. It’s it absolutely required to have?
It's nice to have
If you cannot it then you cannot fit it. It's there to protect the battery from temperature fluctuations.
@@VirarAutomotive thanks for the response I subscribed. They don’t even sell the battery shield separately so I will go without. I was
Able to change my battery thanks to you 👍
Thank you
You are welcome!
Thank you SO Much My Sister car just makes a clicking sound don't crank everything looks fine except the lights inside dimming out I'm thinking it's the battery she don't know she's completely given up on her car is just sitting in the driveway all the fuses are good
Thank you for your kind words. Glad to hear that you found the video helpful! Do let us know if it turns out to be battery. Very likely its the battery (given that it makes a clicking sound when you crank and the interior lights are dimming). If its not the battery then the next thing to check would be a starter, but its less likely. Good luck!
@@VirarAutomotive I've give u guys an update when done.
Where did u buy the battery. I can’t find one for Elantra 2020 2L engine anywhere (in Canada)
Walmart, or Costco is your best bet. Even Canadian tire or Part source should be able to get you the battery.
If you are in the Ottawa area, I would suggest Total Battery. They carry a larger line of batteries at good prices.
@@VirarAutomotive thanks I found one from Costco
Is it the same battery and process for the 2022 models?
Can't confirm. Sorry.
do you know where to find this type of battery
m.battfinder.com/
Does the battery need any reprogramming after being installed?
Nope. Just install and drive.
Thank u so much fr sharing yr knowledge.
Glad I could help 🙂
@@VirarAutomotive Tks u fr the reply. I hve a 2020 Elantra. Low mileage. 23,000 km. My battery is dead today. Reads only 4 V. Cannot be charged again by my portable charger. Don't know why it die early ? Is it still under new car bumper-to-bumper warranty ?
The warranty in Canada at least is 3 years / 60kms, whichever comes first. In your case you need to check the date the warranty started. The warranty period starts the day the car was first sold and registered. A 2020 Model year car could have been sold as early as September 2019 or as late as September 2020. So it depends when your car was initially first sold and registered. You could be still in the bumper to bumper warranty period or just exceeded it
@@VirarAutomotive Tks u so much fr the info. I'm so shock to say the least that it died. 3 yrs with very low mileage 23,000 km. I purchased the vehicle on Oct. 2019. I guess it has exceeded the 3-yrs warranty. Guess it is good timing by design by the manufacturer. Break dn at the precise moment ...!
Hi Tony, I am so sorry to hear that. Are you sure that the battery itself is just dead and can't hold a charge or is it possible that the battery is merely just not sufficiently charged at the moment because the car was maybe sitting for a while.
I mean if the car was being driven around town yesterday and suddenly today it's not starting then it's possible it's a bad battery and it needs replacement, but if the car has been sitting for a while (few weeks or months ) and if the battery is low on voltage, it's possibly just needs to jump started and the car driven around to charge it
👍 Thanks
Thank you. Glad you found it useful!
Can you please confirm the dimensions or which energizer model battery will fit?
You need a H6 Group battery. Battery dimensions are standardized across group sizes. As long you as get H6 group size battery you should be good.

What about 2022?
Should be similar, but can't say for sure since I haven't worked on that car myself yet.
It's not as easy as you say.
What seems to be the obstacle? Could you maybe point out where in the video and I could maybe try and give some direction on it?
Thank you
Glad you found it useful :)
