But we now know that Doom 2016 and Eternal are connected to Doom 1, Doom 2 and Doom 64. So unless the devs make up a story to connect this to Doom 3.. it will remain outside of the original story timeline.
@@AcidGlow considering doom actually dabbles in dimensional travel, and hell can probably connect to parallel dimensions, doom 3 exist in a dimension where doom 1,2 and 64 didnt happen yet but in another dimension it did.
Since time and space functions differently in hell chances are doom 3 dimension could of found the doom slayers tomb and unleashed him to cause havoc once again in a multidimensional rampage, it just doesnt outright hint to it.

Sounds like thousands of Namekians from Dragon Ball Z merged together like Piccolo Daimao did with Nail and Kami, and they powered up the Doom Slayer. It would explain why the Unnamed Space Marine from Doom 1 and Doom 2 could run so fast, deliver blows that ripped demons apart and could regenerate from near death. The Doomguy became the Doom Slayer once he became the last human standing. The martian souls merged with him and gave him immense power.

My guess is that the Titan creature, is the Cyber Demon that was killed in Doom EP1 final level, or a nod to it, as I remember the Cyber Demon of that level is far larger than normal Cyber Demon.

I kinda like that doom is almost like Battlestar Galactica with the repeating history thing going on. All the Doom games are sequels, just spread apart by thousands of years.

In my view of things:
Doom (1993) and Doom 2 Hell on Earth are games in which the protagonist is a Marine that is super badass.
Doom 3 has a protagonist which is just a regular Marine.
Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal have a protagonist that is a centuries old warrior from Hell that has been battling Demons since, well, forever.
So, Doom (1993) and Doom 2 Hell on Earths protagonist is Doom Guy, Doom 3s is The Doom Marine, and Doom (2016) and Doom Eternals protagonist is The Doom Slayer.
Doom 3 & ROE is actually great in terms of story, graphics and atmosphere (even though gameplay isn't really the best compared to other doom titles), it's so interesting and the game's Hell level was good (along with ROE's Hell Levels). terrifying unlike the new game's hell.

Maybe the demons themselves?
there are several possibilities.
1. not all of them were sacrificed - some stayed behind.
2. they made the burial tomb and wrote the history before the events happened. This might seem stupid, but it's not - it was a action of last resort. Either they would succeed as planned, in which makes it pretty clear what should be carved or they would fail and none of it would matter anyway.

I've been really interested in the Devil May Cry games, the first game is definitely my favorite game of all time. I think it would be interesting to see some backstory on like the the Devil Arms, Dante's father, etc. etc.
I think another set of interesting things, would be some videos on the SCP Foundation. As it honestly fascinates me, but scares me at the same time actually.

Jooztin you're talking about know the backstory of alastor? Basically there's no much to talk about because alastor is simply the soul of a warrior demon that die and his/her soul became a sword or was forged with his/her soul (like dark souls)

I think DOOM 2016 it's not entirely a 'reboot'. We se that someone that looks like the Marine (From the first game) used the cube on the demons. That "someone" can be the Doom Slayer, the Hell Walker.

This how the Doom universe aligns itself to the old doom games. It can be a reboot within a reboot of other possible next gen doom games based on creating a link of the doom lore because if doomguy/slayer theoretically can travel through time, space and dimensions due to hell's weird quantum physics then its our job to fill in the bits and details of doom's story.

As much as I love the new Doom and Doom Eternal (not as much as the classic one or even Doom 3) I never managed to digest the concept of the DoomGuy being an eternal warrior jumping through time and space

I've seen a few videos talk about how Doom 2016 and Doom eternal are connected to Doom 1 2 and 64 but nothing about Doom 3. So from what I've seen I assume that Doom 3 and it's expansion resurrection of evil are considered non-cannon by I'd.

Maybe DOOM 1 and 2 are cannon to DOOM 3 and DOOM4 and maybe there’s a multiverse, where DOOMGUY is traveling to each world to kill all the demons. (because he hates them) That would have to mean the “DOOMGUY” That’s in DOOM 3 is not the playable the playable character, but the “Hero” That Defend the Martians from the demons. That would explain why in DOOM 4, Doomguy doesn’t even give crap and slams the Possessed Scientist’s head. Maybe he admires the pistol because every version of the pistol (DOOM 1, DOOM 2, and DOOM 3) were just regular pistols with no futuristic tech on it! I might be looking too far into this, aren’t I?

So basically all the doom games are set in different universes except doom 1,doom 2,doom 64 and doom ps1 (let's just call it the classics). so basically the universe of doom 3, doom 4 and the classic doom games, are invaded by the same hell !!! hell is basically not really a place but some sort of plain of existence or some shit like that...and the doom slayer is probably the same guy from the original doom...ok here are my reasons :
1. According to the UAC data files the Doom Slayer is alien to the race of Argent D'Nur, and full of hatred for the demons.
2. It kinda makes sense because the people of Argent D'Nur needs power and something/someone that really hate demons.
3. So in someway the people of Argent D'Nur teleported the original Doom Guy and "trained" him to fight demons.
4. So after he defeated the Titan he started travel between time, space and other universes with the Knight Sentinels to get rid of hell forces. And then shit happens until he end up in hell itself in the coffin under the mountain. And then the UAC agents from DOOM 2016 version of the UAC came and discovered The Doom Slayer . And this is probably the reason The Doom Slayer knows why he can't trust UAC and also the reason why hell is not that full of demons (even though there are many demons) and to simplify all this, basically all the doon games are canon. There you go...

I thought the original story of Doom was base on earth and scientists opened a portal and threw in some weapons, metals and other shit...then one day the portal opened by itself and all of hell poured out. Devils and demons with guns and shit🤔🤔🤔🤔 It's been a while since I played the original so, I can't really remember the story to a tee🤔🤔

most likely it's a scenario of 5-7 marines against one predator, if the predator has no time limit and is in a jungle like environment i think the predator could win, the predator would have to slowly pick one off at a time or else he'll get wasted. Doom 2016 is a reboot. any "evidence" people find are just the result of over-thinking. No one is mocking anyone.
All those easter eggs are just that. they are callbacks to the original Doom series for us old school players.

Because stone seems to be the best way to leave behind information. Stone has lasted the test of time compared to a piece of technology that might require a power source. That's my understanding when I look at real life sources also. But then again.. it's just a video game.

Doom 64 was badass......it's a good update to Doom and the level design alone was fracking genius, try navigating any level from level 2 onward....it gets more complex as you go lolz that can be seen as good or bad depending on POV....

Harlequin619 thats the thing no one in the UAC knows how they looked they could've looked somewhat human like one of the stone slab showed one holding the box and banished the demons or killing them. So it's possible some of the Martian survivors fled to earth. my theory is the character you are playing as in doom 3 is actually a descendent of a martian warrior that fought against the demons which is why he's the one the demons couldn't posses or hard to kill, now again it's just a theory but it might be possible.

The people that worked on the Mars facilities? Yeah they died. Either by the demons or by the doom guy after they were possessed.

just imagine if Elon Musk will arrive to the Mars, they will settle up a base to research the planet and at some point they will gonna find that there actually was a life on the Mars and it was humans just like us. It will be some shocking discovery to us all...

the original doom 1 & 2 are their own continuation, so is doom 3.
Doom 2016 is a reboot with new backstory for the doomslayer, he is not anymore a human, he is an eternal entity fighting against the forces of hell after been betrayed by them.

personly I right now see two doom universes, oen where we have the slightly more ..dull.. lore of ''ohh fancy fancy tec but look magic zoink they lose becuse hade mighty but only 1 magic wepon for zee chosen one.
and another where basicly hell is one dam remorseless ,ruthless and mercyless dimension or other cosmos/universe interly and hey hey hey hey ,look a little prick to tear open into a gate and potentialy a hole extra universe/cosmos to harvest and 'intergrate'
guess either one is a possible 'refinement' of the original lore ,but personl preffer the second lees 'chosen one of many becuse evryone is a idiot untill the title is bestowed' version :/
