the removal of GCW/JEDI TEF system,.. the removal of permadeath.. and all those nerfs and changes to the core systems were the reason. jedi can be part of swg but they need to be rare, the original system with permadeath was the best system we had but carebears and crybabys wanted jedi the easy way and yea,...... jedi didnt destroy swg but it was one of the major problems that destroyd the immersion of the whole timeline. just look into the original launch manual of the game (the one from 2003), u can read about so many awesome features but nothing of it exist anymore because soe just removed more and more stuff from the game and in the end it was nothing more than a broken mess of easy mode and casual crap pre-nerf swg was best! (i miss it so much)
You obviously didn’t play back then. What ruined it was little kids who didn’t want to grind holocrons and get jedi the tough way. They wanted it given to them and once they did over half the population left.
Yes and no, ppl crying and raging on forums to unlock jedi without the grind is what ruined the game, honestly the devs had no choice, let them unlock like they did and game ruined, dont and ppl would keep raging so game ruined. So yes i think you are right, this game without jedi (in a time when the number of jedi in the galaxy could be counted with one hand) could have live for a lot more years of interesting development.
