THIS VIDEO EXPOSES STUDENTS TO A TYPICAL CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL QUESTION. THE STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO LEARN HOW TO HANDLE MAKE OBSERVATIONS AND MAKE DEDUCTIONS FROM OBSERVATIONS.
Thank you so much sir for this good channel of yours which I found very interesting. Truth be said' all your lessons are well elaborated n I have learnt a lot so far n I pray that God be with u and bless the good work that u r doing.. Keep it up
Thank you for this platform but i a question. How do i write my observation if am given a mixture of substances basing on colour eg (green and white, brown and blue)
What i meant is that in the observation should i write that its a "white green substance" if am given a misture of white and green substance Also if its a mixture of powder and crystals do i say "a powdery crystalline substance" or i choose one of the textures. Thank you
Nitric acid eliminates carbonate ions (CO32-) and sulphite ions (SO3 2-).If a precipitate is formed on addition of lead ii nitrate with no fizzing on addition on nitric V acid the inference will be SO4 2-,Cl- ,Br- present . Can also add (CO32-,SO3 2- absent)
Thanks you so much Y, you really help a lot.
Keep on keeping on Tr. Kung'u.you are a great teacher. God bless
good lesson and easy to understand
Thank you so much ! Be blessed
good lesson teacher
God bless you
GOOD WORK SIR

amen and welcome
Teacher u are doing good
Nice job teacher
this was very insight
Thanks sir you are the best
You are good teacher for help us
That's impressive
Very interesting
good job
Thank you so much for once I finally understood the topic😌
Most welcome 😊
I found your lesson on organic chemistry n that is when I began downloading almost all the videos in your channel..thanks in advance
Welcome!
May God bless the work of your hands I have actually understood the topic
Amen
lovely
Thank you very much may God bless you n your work.
Amen Alland
Thank you for that precise lesson. Stay safe and be bless mwalimu.

Clear
Also if i have a powder and crystals, how do i write my observation basing on texture
Thanks alot
Welcome
Please project the voice
Good job sir.....in the 6th portion, can u say effervescence occurs too?
Yes
Pls do more
Noted Gemma
Sir in the fourth portion you added ammonia solution it didn't form a white precipitate it was colourless??
May be the camera didn't capture well however the ppt formed from ammonia and aluminium ions is faint.
I'm also getting confused on that🤔..... I never saw the white ppt it was just colorless
Hello sir very nice explanation, do you teach extra lessons in person I would really love u to start toTuitor me in science both physics and chemistry
Kindly send your WhatsApp number

How is it observed ; I mean wetha soluble or insoluble in excess
The suspended particles(precipitate) dissolves and a clear solution is formed
Help me with chem test paper 3plz
Thank you for this platform but i a question.
How do i write my observation if am given a mixture of substances basing on colour eg (green and white, brown and blue)
Also if i have a powder and crystals, how do i write my observation basing on texture
Green; Cu2+/Fe2+ Brown; Fe3+ ;Blue Cu2+
Further tests can be used to identify specific ions.
What i meant is that in the observation should i write that its a "white green substance" if am given a misture of white and green substance
Also if its a mixture of powder and crystals do i say "a powdery crystalline substance" or i choose one of the textures.
Thank you
@@buron4charlesug a rare scenario though write a green- white mixture. Or a mixture of crystalline and non crystalline substances
Mwalimu what happens when you add dilute nitric(v) acid followed by lead(ii)nitrate?
Nitric acid eliminates carbonate ions (CO32-) and sulphite ions (SO3 2-).If a precipitate is formed on addition of lead ii nitrate with no fizzing on addition on nitric V acid the inference will be SO4 2-,Cl- ,Br- present . Can also add (CO32-,SO3 2- absent)
@@Mr.Kunguchemistry thank you sir
Sir pls wat is the name of the salt K
aluminium sulphate
Mwalimu why have excluded lead ion from white ppt soluble in excess of NAOH
Initially we confirmed Sulphate present and asoluble salt present. Simply a soluble Sulphate. Lead Sulphate being insoluble is excluded
@@Mr.Kunguchemistry thanks sir
What salt was used in the process
aluminium sulphate was analysed
Sir is it distilled water or normal water
Strictly distilled water. Tap water may contain other ions
Teacher izt form 3 or form 4
Concepts in form 2,3 and 4
Sir here u added pd2nitrate so which one now is been precipitation?
A cation or anion because we have Pb2+ and NO3- what is now forming a white ppt in solution?

think ur teacher plz but did ur have k.c.s.e exam am
This is a typical kcse question on inorganic qualitative analysis. I have demonstrated how to approach it. Hope I have answered your question
