    Good work Mwalimu. However, kindly make clarification on test used to differentiate Bromide and Iodide ions.

    • @TopnotchonlineTV
      @TopnotchonlineTV  Před rokem

      we can differentiate Brominde and iodine ions using chlorine water( chlorine displaces Both) with iodide ions they are displaced forming brown solution but displacement of bromide ions leads formation of bromine solution which is yellow . Lead (II) nitrate can also be used to differentiate the two iodide ions forms a yellow precipitate while bromide forms a white precipitate . thanks . from Mr Mbaluka.
