It's the little throwaway lines like these that make Kevin's segments so hilarious
It's so funny because that's Conan's habitual interview style, he just repeats back what the guest said in the form of a question
You know what I think. It's a little passive aggressiveness. Coz I think Nealon & Carvey were very good friends but not now anymore (7 years ago and still). So when Nealon said "a good friend of mine" (he meant back then as that was relevant to story) Conan corrected him. So Nealon fired back. They two are the best with this witty back & forth jabs. Conan is friends with both but more with Carvey and just platonic with Kevin whom once was more close to him but time drifted them apart.
These are all speculations btw. Which I think is the real situation.

@@rajithmaligaspe my speculation. Coz as Kevin Nealon I'm also an observant guy 😄. I can list the reasons that led me to this speculation but it's a speculation nevertheless. I don't read puff pieces so I don't bother to confirm this.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHEMISTRY OF CONAN AND KEVIN!!!!!!
I kinda wish Conan would JUST have his friends on the show. Cause he's ok with newer guests, but there's this rapport he has with older friends, especially ones that aren't GIANT stars, that feels very Late Night-ish and thats what's missing from the show nowadays. Its a bit trying too hard to be hip and edgy whereas its really just awesome when he has people like Kevin on and has a natural conversation with them.
Yeah but then the studio wouldn’t make enough money to satisfy their enormous appetites. Gotta get paid by other studios to let their stats promote their stuff. That’s how it works, I’m pretty kinda maybe sure

Conan, you ARE special! You're a 6' 4" man and have a massive head and a big, lantern jaw. Your nose and forehead are substantial. These would be ingredients for intimidating machismo. But your eyes and voice are so boyish and disarming. And so it's all so wondrous and strange. Anyway it brings me joy, and I find it inspiring.
