What super chip number do you buy for these keys? Since in my experience most customers want remote head keys, not regular chip keys, do you sell basic keys to customer a lot?
Can VVDI mini key tool sniff, and do most cloning like your bigger unit shown in the video?

@@MYKEYSAUTOMOTIVE hey bro I had the similar question, I want buy the mini vvdi tool, around $140. It's worth it to do my personal few car keys instead of going to the dealer. First can the mini tool do most car keys like I've got a 2011 mazda, 2011 rav4 and a 2014 crv. Also will your tool or the mini tool, will they copy the remote fobs as well?

Hello Sir, I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, is there a 3 button universal key FOB that I can use to program to this vehicle? there is no chip key, and the OEM remote has no FCC ID info on it. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
LHJ011 this is the fcc , you can creat one with xhorse wired remote..they also sell some at autozone if u need them fast..but they are quite pricey

Some newer Toyotas require nastf .. not all locksmiths are able to do it and will probably have to go to dealer

Have you done ID12? I just cloned several Dodge Sprinter keys. YM15. The clone keys all say T5 chip. Same as the megamos 13 clone chip.
Superchip seemed to work. Just wondering if I should expect problems.

In your experience have you had any problems with using super chips in place of glass chips(megamose 13)? Like the key not working intermittently.
Yes you cannot generate id13 .. what i do is ill clone a existing generic megamos 13 key and porgram the superchip to the vehicle..
I’ve had the problem when I clone the H72, the vvdi states to have clone but it doesn’t work for the vehicle

I keep having issues with 4C. I cloned a key fine to an 03 F-150 but the immo won’t read the transponder unless I take the Superchip out and hold it agains the steering column. Every run into anything like this? It’s the second time it’s happened to me with super chips
yes superchips are not good for 4c it's best to aways use generic 4c or glass 4c
I have the first generation key tool. It looks like the Key Tool Max is more versatile

Do your research before you go and spend your $$$. This is a nice tool to have but might not be for everyone and the im608pro is also a great tool expensive. Educate yourself and gather all information possible before investing in this kind of work....
If you are not a mechanic look at the IM508.

Hello Mike I m confusing that part you have a key from the car if you clone the chip do you still need to program it into the vehicle? When you clone a chip does it come with the vehicle's information? If not cloning a chip is just for saving money when buying original blank key is expensive than buying aftermarket key + super chip, right?
Mike's videos are good but what I think confused you is he is using new keys like they were customer keys. If you have a key from a car that starts the car and is clonable . You can just clone key. If it's not then you have to Generate a new chip or use the right generic chip for new key then it has to be programmed to car. Then I can be wrong but it works for me.But new keys don't come with car information.Your cloning or programming key so vehicle can recognize it . The new keys he has have the chip in them that he needs the chips he's making (super chips) are going to be going into a remote key or a multi function key and or a key with chip slot to make a finished key. Like Mike said people don't want to help you because it's all a big secret .

yes scorcher is correct, when you clone the key you need a super chip ,cannot clone onto a generic chip, once you have cloned the customers key ,you do not have to go back to the vehicle to program the key .. the key will automatically start the vehicle.. i use the superchip because it's the most convinient to use and you can clone onto it or generate it .. once
again you cannot clone onto a generic chip that is not a super chip or generate it because it is not a super chip . hope we were both more

The chips are for the vehicles immobilizer system that prevents the car from starting ...in case of a theft car will not start due
To the immobilizer system of the vehilce.. it immobilizes the vehicle..(non drivable)

The best thing I recommend is try to generate and program.. but yes not alot of chips are cloneable..😪😪

What is the difference between cloning and generating?
Think the sheep Dolly = an exact copy. Like you have key A and B, you loose B. You make a clone of A. The car will always read both key as the same, the A, and start. So for the car it doesn't care and the security is the same (untill you loose one of them).

If the key is not clonable then what do you do
You need to program it into the car (with a key programmer). It all depends on the make and model, and if it is even possible. Else only the car dealer can fix it.

Invest $1000.2000 in a good programmer too, and another $1000-2000 in a machine etc. and you can at least start.

I'm not a big fan of this tool. Since recent software updates, It fails to clone ID46 and 48 chips. When it sniff the data, during the process it will report an error then asks to sniff data again.

I really don't like the Key Tool Max. It has proved to be so slow when compared with other programming tools that don't require internet connection.
I dont use it for programming.. i like it for cloning.. but its a good for people starting up..
