  • "Read The Field" is situational awareness. Often referred to as "reading a room", I use the term "Read The Field" because we often have to use situational awareness when we're outside. Situational awareness is an aspect of executive functioning that many kids with ADHD struggle with. If your son/daughter can do O.K. in structured, or semi-structured social situations yet has struggled in unstructured social situations (such as recess), it may be because of their difficulty with situational awareness.
The Brochachos is a video series for kids with ADHD to learn how their brain works. Concepts taught in Brochachos are covered in the ADHD Dude Membership Site for parents. Thanks to Tommy DiBenedetto- Animator/Editor/Storyboard

Your videos are so helpful. I will be using them to help my daughter learn about her “brain coach” and about reading the field. Also, about showing interest in others and emotional compression! These are all skills she has to learn and I didn’t know how to talk about them except always talking about social norms. I have started pointing out whenever she isn’t paying attention to social norms but the cringy, neutral and clutch idea is so great to understanding why we stick to social norms! Thank you so much!
I know these videos are for guys, but in using it to cross over to girls…one thing I notice with my daughter is that she will cry/pout more than shouting. She also starts to act/ talk like a baby in certain situations…I havn’t completely figured that one out yet.
Again thank you for making these available free of charge!!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! The vidoes are not specifically made for boys, it was just easier for me to do boy's voices I already had in my head.
As for the crying/baby talk: czcams.com/video/MpjooA-3Puw/video.htmlsi=nitgZdxFhrFKakRJ

I’m so glad these videos are available. When they come out, they remind me how to address my ADHD kiddo.

I love it! I tell my kid 'Stay Alert, Stay Alive' and in parking lots, cars with lights on are designed to deduct life points. 😁 Can't reach target with goonies in the way.

These videos are pretty great, but 35 second intro for an ADHD video?

I haven't heard of any kids show/cartoon that is making episodes without an intro. Having ADHD doesn't preclude you from having to wait sometimes, right? Thanks for watching :)

Gotta have a situation setup scene in order to learn about situational awareness. :)
