- Well everyone, that about wraps up the "Every Everything" videos. For this year at least. It's fun reading everyone's comments and seeing the reception to these videos. I'm so glad that you guys seem to like them. I do plan on doing more types of videos like these, but just maybe not for a little while. I have a video ready for "Every Action Scene" in Cowboy Bebop, but I have to find a way to upload it without it getting copyright claimed. But other than that, I was thinking about maybe doing Naruto after.

@@Robert-tl2vg He didn't tell Krillin to make the physical blue and white ball though. Krillin just did that on his own, and then that's just what the Spirit Bomb became. Because look up the first time Goku used the Spirit Bomb. It was just white glow around his hand.

I just remembered the amount of chopping I had to do for the Namek Spirit Bomb, over an episodes worth if I'm not mistaken, and even then, everytime I think I chopped just enough, I'd rewatch it and be like, actually, this can go too, it's not really all that necessary
Also, Fun fact: If you watch the Kaio-Ken done in Lord Slug and then the Lord Slug Spirit Bomb here, you'll notice that the Spirit Bomb scene takes place directly after!

I feel like Kid Buu (And more so Jiren) showed Goku that he cannot always use the Spirit Bomb to kill an opponent much stronger. It just does not work when they can push it back.
Many would say it didn't work on Jiren because of not being evil, but it should _still_ hit him, otherwise it doesn't make sense what happened to Gohan. Surviving != Deflecting
@@Speed4Runs I feel it's a REALLY common misconception that the Spirit Bomb cannot hurt someone pure of heart.
In reality during the Vegeta fight Goku says "It was aimed at Vegeta's evil energy, if you don't have any evil in you, you'll be ok." Furthermore, prior to throwing it, King Kai tells Krillin "You do not AIM the Spirit Bomb, you sense it" or something like that.
I believe this is more a case of the Spirit Bomb bouncing off because it was gonna hit the wrong target. If it truly could not hurt anyone pure of heart, then Goku would not have been in any danger when Kid Buu was pushing it back.
@@CommanderBox. well, if the target was Jiren, it should still hit him. Otherwise, at that point of the ToP, the only possible target would probably be Freeza lol. Still though, it should be going to "bounce" even on Jiren.
I don't remember the sub version, but from what I've just heard, Gohan would have been okay, and yet, he was hit by it - it wouldn't exactly go on its own if Gohan didn't try to deflect it at all, as he got even pushed to the rock

@@KDX05 while both could be canon in their own, I prefer to consider the manga the canon, even if it came later. Man, every single fight except some in the ToP were ages better than what we got in the anime... But hey, at least they kept Goku in base form when preparing the genkidama lol

There's a good reason it wasn't. Zamasu was literally invincible after he and "Goku Black" did their little Potara Fusion at the end of Ep. 64. Even obliterating his body with the Spirit Sword did not negate the simple fact that he was immortal and could live on without a physical body (thanks to the Super Dragon Balls).

I guess GT Goku travelling around the universe and meeting alot of creatures in order to help him at the end was such a redeeming thing to happen. Parts of GT were good and im only appreciating it now

for all its flaws, GT is as good or better than almost any other 64 episode segment of the franchise (and it’s much much better than any/all super, which is officially sanctioned fanfic brainrot IP barf)

I love that Funimation directly went out of their way to include 17, Eighter and his village, and Launch. Because Toriyama just straight up forgot about them and did them injustice. Especially the fact that he didn’t even include Launch in the Battle of Gods movie when they literally brought everyone back
You mean Toei. Also 17 was in the manga version as well. Not sure abt Eighter but I know Launch wasn’t (even though Toriyama considered it)

The Buu spirit bomb... man... I only first watched all of Dragonball about 4 years ago. But man, watching all of DragonBall, then getting all the way through Z and seeing Eighter, Snow, Upa, Bora, and all these characters spanning hundreds of episodes.
I'll admit I had tears in my eyes and a palm raised as a twenty-something year old guy.
Something really special about that ending, like a cherry on top of it all.

you have to see how krillin came along as a martial artist he was able to apply a brief moment of instructions while in battle basically being taught in an instant to use something he's never expierenced because goku had to have practiced this for months and krillan only had a few secounds a few minutes at most if we are talking dbz time.

45:16 God damn, I sincerely wish that those two characters, Mummy Man, and Devil Man, were made relevant after they got introduced. Like after Goku beat them, they discovered that they wanted to become more powerful so that they could beat him next time, and Roshi offered to train them cause of the potential they showed as fighters. And they became part of the Z Warriors. I really liked Devil Man's design and fighting style. I feel like he's what inspired Dabura. But he deserved more in my opinion.

Omg just the part where everyone is looking at the battle between Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Goku struggling to push back his Universal Spirit Bomb attack back at Jiren gives me direct chills every time.
And even when Goku is at the highest limit of his power before he achieved Ultra Instinct and lets out a terrifying roar to try his hardest to surpass Jiren's current state, and then Jiren collapses the Universal Spirit Bomb into a black hole filled with cosmic energy by just widening his eyes. Truly incredible. 👀🤯

Spirit Bomb:The Movie
Goku technically taught Krillin how to manifest the Spirit Bomb, so it would have been so cool if Krillin used the Spirit Bomb as a technique as well. As a human fighter, it would have made Krillin way more important in future sagas. It's a shame how few of Goku's strongest techniques, that have nothing to do with his Saiyan heritage, never get passed along to the other Z-warriors. Hell even amongst one another lol. Gohan should have the most godly assemblage of powerful techniques from all the Z-fighters, but they just let the opportunity slip away.

The spirit bomb is one of the most powerful techniques Goku has, and it's success rate is low. It only defeated a villain once in dragonball Z and once in dragonball GT. Defeating Kid Buu and Omega Shenron. Every other time in the series, it failed to defeat an opponent. It failed against, Vegeta, Frieza, and especially Jiren. The dragonball Z have a better success rate. In the movies, the spirit bomb defeated, Dr wheelo, Turles despite failing the first time, Lord Slug, and even helped to defeat super android 13.

I really appreciate the movies for glorifying the epic essence of this technique. Not only did they really do that but they captured the idea that the attack is more than a giant ball that forms in the sky.

There were two more.
One in the Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special. Which I guess is just a goofy TV special so not sure if it counts.
The other was in one of the endings to the original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. Goku used an Instant Transmission + Spirit Bomb combo to wipe out Super Hatchiyak. This was technically a video game, but the scenes were fully animated in movie art style, so again, not sure if it counts.

Trunks didnt use the spirit bomb its actually the spirit sword, but now that i think about it trunks used spirit super saiyan and the spirit sword is a form of the spirit bomb (so Spirit Super Saiyan (S'SSJ is canon)).

As I watched this video I started to cry a little bit. Let me tell you how nice it is to see old videos of Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball is and will always be my favorite show of all time. The emotion and effort they put into making this show is unlike anything I've ever seen. I miss watching these on TV 20+ years ago. Thank you @ExChloe for bringing me back memories.
Hercule convincing the people of Earth to give up their spirit energy was my favorite moment in the whole series. It's great that up to that point he was just comic relief, and an impostor who took credit for defeating Cell, but in this moment he actually does help save the Earth.
