I got cold chills when I heard Scott singing in Italian. Then my jaw dropped when Mitch joined in. That little girl is insanely talented. Amazing performance.
They were members of a strong Texas high school choir program where students routinely prepare songs for competition in Italian and other languages.

@@ronparsley3112 They were all members of the TMEA All-State Choir program. It's a competition that starts at the district level and goes to state. It takes a great deal of hard work to get that far. They sing in many, many different languages. It just depends on what arrangements are picked that year.
@@EmelyPhan My son, now an opera performer, started competing in foreign languages in middle school. Most of the foreign language pieces were in Italian. There were a few in German. I do not remember if he had a competitive piece in French. His choir was the TMEA honor choir one year and one piece was in Swahili... I think.
The students are given a disc of the possible pieces in addition to the sheet music so they can hear proper pronunciation. Most also learn the International Phonetic Alphabet to help with pronunciation.
Several colleges offer summer workshops where the students work on the TMEA music and techniques. It helps the colleges recruit and the high school students are exposed to other directors.

PTX is beyond gifted. Thank you AGT for giving them the space so others can see how after 10 years, 3 Grammys, gazillion views … they are so humble and inspiring. If only Radio would give them the respect they so deserve. Real talent kids can look up to!

Mitch so easily shines his voice is incredible, an absolute angel.
I'm so glad they finally gave him a spotlight moment. He so effortlessly commands your attention, he's so expressive, converys emotion so beautifully. His voice is gentle but powerful, both breaks your heart and heals it. A once in a lifetime talent, just gorgeous.

This is a song she shouldn't have touched at all. She should wait until she's a pre teen or teen until she actually starts to sing professionally.

I have chills! So gorgeous, especially Mitch and Scott, separately and together. I think Victory was a little intimidated by all the talent around her. But I'm sure they did a lot of encouraging her both before and after the performance and that will hopefully help her as she keeps developing toward a promising future in music.

Pentatonix is an AMAZING group. Victory is an AMAZING star in the making, and made a wonderful choice in WHO to aspire to. The whole performance, body language and all, touched my heart and soul. I loved this.

So very difficult harmonising with someone who strays a little from their lane (love Mitch's little smile to Scott during that final ascending chord)...kudos to PTX for another outstanding performance...and to Victory who will be a force in the future.

What do you mean, "finally"? He shines a lot! Have you even seen their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody? And what about Hallelujah? He shines in just about every song they sing.
@@Loruca she means lately he hasn’t been in the forefront like he used to be. It’s mostly Kirstie and Scott leading now. Especially the live performances when they cut mitchs solos.

I'd say it's fairly balanced now among the group now. It used to be mainly Scott and Mitch, now we get all five members with solos fairly often
@@cc.forbes That’s on her though, she and Mitch both suffered from anxiety and she was reluctant to sing out front. It wasn’t until her stint on Broadway that she found confidence to shine. Has to be both a blessing and a curse to sing as well as Mitch does because I find a lot of people feel he’s showboating and he’s not, he’s just that good and has such a unique voice that makes him stand out. I love them all❣️
