    Just to add some historical data:
    Beethoven composed his Pathetique 14 years after Mozart's Sonata in c minor (7 years after Mozart's death).

    Plagiarist, or, can it be possible that all music evolves from that which came before? I can't help but never to think ill of Beethoven. Is the "Shepherd's Song" in the 6th symphony similarly a knock-off of some Mozart work? Questions abound.

    Wow! There are a lot of "liberties" in the opening of the Pathetique! It almost sounded like Rachmaninoff. Yikes.
