This is absolutely true. Read his lyrics out loud as you would literature or poetry. Now try this with every popular "artist" on the radio and compare the two. It's actually quite funny.. and somehow frightening at the same time. Ones taste in music is an extension of your intellect. He simply is the best.
@@bryenburns3446 he certainly is. What’s even more amazing is his ability to tie these lyrics to beautiful melodies and chord progressions. He’s so much more than just a great lyricist. He is a masterful songwriter. Hands down my favorite of all time.

@V-Rex I'm Wide Awake It's Morning, and Digital Ash in A Digital Urn were two albums released at the same time (i think?) in the mid 00's that kinda blew Bright Eyes up. "Lifted, Or the story is in the soil keep your ear to the ground" was bright eyes before bright eyes became Bright Eyes in a commercial sense... i guess. This song harkens back to it, to my ear at least.
