The double reverse/lateral to forward pass screen for a TD @5:21 is utterly jaw dropping stuff. Serious HERO blocks by #3 & #0 inside the 15yd line. This is team work. 👍🏼

That reverse play was insane I never seen a wave of blockers like that like 8 to 2 lol. Imagine Brohm had higher quality players lie Bell and Karlaftis. O'Connell made some NFL throws!

This MSU team isn't as good as usual #3 teams in November but there simply aren't any real powerhouses this season besides Georgia. Any team you put at #3 is gonna feel overrated imo

5:58 I think that stand up half block by Purdue player come racing down , allowed just a bit more time for runner to cross into the endzone . great play, one side of the field to the other
And if you run it back, that is actually the player that flips the ball back to the QB before the pass is thrown to setup the screen. He then blocks a player from the QB to protect the pass, watches the play unfold as he jogs forward, sees the route opening up, turns it on and gets downfield 40 yards to make that block.
I've had Purdue three times this year - they barely missed on Wisconsin but the other two were good. They always seem to be undervalued.
Hard to find a highlight game that doesn't just show one team. GG video. If this Spartan team had any semblance of defense...damn.
Game was a highlight or slopfest on both sides, I always love Purdue for stepping up against big time teams/games. Purdue deserves to be a contender

@@jesy1732 true but that could be said for 2007 too. the similarities are there, Oregon losing their running back and it potentially ruining their championship season, almost all the perennial top 5 teams have at least 1 loss already, except for ou who honestly should have 5 losses rn, there are ranked teams that haven’t been ranked before, and there’s been several teams get boosted to top 15 status just to lose the next week exactly like 2007. the only difference is there hasn’t been a curse on the number 2 ranked team, and I hope to god it doesn’t because everyone is rooting for cincy

So many overrated teams this year ranked, which creates a domino affect for the next year. “My team defeated a high ranked team so my team should be top five, ten etc…”. Though Iowa and MI State were never high ranked teams to being with. Though congrats for Purdue for the win. I’m just wishing for Cincy to make it to the playoffs but to realize when they lose, to understand that SEC is not just a brand but to invest the past decades the hard work they put in to get where they at now. Cincy almost beat UGA last year only because their headspace were down from the loss for the championship. If they would of played them before the loss, it would of been a different story.

Purdue knocks off Iowa who was #2 at the time and #3 Michigan State today. A few years ago, Ohio State went to Purdue and lost and it cost them a playoff spot. The Boilermakers know how to play the spoiler role very well.
That is why they won’t ever be the title team though. You cannot win titles if you are just a spoiler every year. Makes me wonder why they lost 3 games this year.
This team got whipped by Notre Dame, beat by Minnesota, whipped by Wisconsin, yet have somehow demolished Iowa and MSU, it boggles my mind.

Good thing was we seen a little spicy side to Thorne there, kid was making some moves. Kenneth is still really good, still manage to get almost 150 yards. Defense was just atrocious, always 1 step behind but..... Fucking hats off to Purdue, they were very creative & they played to win. Gg to Purdue, can't wait to watch Bell Square off with Olave next week. I'm sure it will be a really fun game. Also looking to see if defense makes any strides during Maryland, though I'm not gonna hold my breath, defense depth not so great you see all them casts & wraps? Wel see, gogreen & no excuses!!

Why is it that whenever Mich or Ohio State lose, its always the refs fault. They apparently never get beat by the other team, its always the refs. Before each season all the refs get together and decide to make them lose.

As a hard loving MSU fan im extremely disappointed in MSU, they went into the game believing it was an easy win, then you lose to purdue🙄 but ya know what honestly they needed this.. sad to say they needed to lose so they can humble up and realize they are beatable. Defense needs to WAKE UP and get them off the field on 3rd downs if we wanna keep winning.. definitely an upset but we are still 8-1 holding our heads high

As a Michigan fan here's what I see:
Michigan doesn't take MSU seriously enough every year and it's allowed Sparty fans to get cocky for the past decade plus. And deservedly so.
The flip side is that MSU spends ALL their energy every year focusing on Michigan. This is why games like today happen for MSU.
It's frustrating for both fan bases.
