Taking that stupid suitcase of an airbox out and replacing it with a simple tube and cone air filter that fits through the intake hole in the fender was so worth it. Made several repairs that would have required taking the suitcase back out again. It's currently in my basement, i may use it to pack my clothes in next vacation.
Nope ....if not the thermostat, and if you don't have any leaks from your car radiator for sure that is for coolant temperature sensor it cost about $13 .if you doesn't have any white smog whenever you start any you if you can't see any oil leak from gasket don't worry replace,,your coolant temperature sensor you will be ok gd luck any problem just hit me a massage
I have a question, sir. Hopefully you can help me out. Same vehicle same year, it's overheating and losing coolant. I can't see a leak, but every time the car overheats and I check the coolant reservoir it's empty. Happened two times so far, no coolant in the oil either. What's the deal?
Could be coming out the weeping hole on the water pump or it's just getting super hot when over heating and its such a small hole its just blowing it out the hole and evaporating check top and bottom hoses and around the radiator is the radiator just empty or will it cools down to can look to see him there is any in the reservoir mite have a check in the tank you the line
Open the radiator cap but first let the engine cool down, and then open the radiator cap start the car ,and check the radiator water is bubbling,is the bubble come add water in to the radiator until all bubbles gone, when the water all the way fill you can see not bubbles more and water level is all the way fill up to the level that is it
If the water level lower than the radiator you have some where leaking water, you have to find out where is the water come from,if the your car is still overheating after the thermostat replacement, you have a problem with a bad water pump, after your engine one hour after check the under need your car water is dripping under the water pump area,is that the case ,you have to replace your water pump,, thanks again
what do you suggest for instead since murray brand is junk? I have a 2000 Cadillac Seville sts with a overheating problem. Everything else has been replaced except tubing, water pump, radiator fan relay, heater core system, new thermostat (old one cleaned but not replaced). After warm-up, it stays around 245 then goes back down to around 230 then back to 245. I think its the water pump because i get no heat air coming out of the fans blowing at 90 degrees to counter overheating.
Just replace cooling fan sensor that's it and also if you in USA just call me we can check it out,but if you replace with coolant sensor you will be ok , but make sure your car fan belt tensioner
Thanks for your videos, you help regular guys like me do my own work!

Your welcome appreciated
If it didn't have a thermostat, they tried to keep it from overheating because it has blown head gasket,,,
