Mana Suzuki Yes
So it was written for a guitar player by a guitar player and there is no guitar player?
Pat Metheny was a trumpet player before he was a guitarist and influenced by his older brother, Mike, who was a trumpet player as well. It's no wonder that Pat's guitar sound, resembles a trumpet on a lot of his recordings.
Guitar can always be improved upon by being replaced with a piano or sax.
I like this recording because the lead trumpet screws up a little. It's good to be reminded that they're human.
On the solo? If he’s confident enough there are no mistakes
@@mikeyeyey8678lol, that's what my choral director used to say, "a wrong note sung with confidence is an interpretation". BTW, isn't the soloist playing second trumpet?
@@mikeprevost8650 haha, definitely true words from your choral director. Not actually sure what the chair arrangements for this particular ensemble is, I’ve been in jazz ensembles where the lead trumpet was actually the second player starting from the left. Jazz trumpet chair arrangements are always a little weird though, and aren’t exactly set up in a way where the best player is first chair, worse player is last chair, ect.
It feels good to watch other people fail?
2:46 what is that a fucking double A?
Yeah a double A
