    About the presenter:
Nora Wilson has been a member of the Health and Welfare practice at the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) since April 2017. Through EBCLC’s medical-legal partnerships, she works with Alameda County residents to address the destabilizing social conditions that put people at risk of poor health outcomes, helping reduce barriers to care created by lack of stable income, housing, and health care coverage. Nora is a prison abolitionist, attorney, and former Director of Legal Advocacy at Justice Now, where she coordinated direct legal services and medical advocacy for people in prison while helping train the next generation of lawyers and activists. She grew up in a conservative town in the deep South. Her family members have relied on public benefits in order to afford basic necessities, which informs her work. She received her BA in Political Science from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and her JD from Fordham University School of Law in NYC.
