I’ve never cried for anyone like I have for Phyllis. I’m sort of a recluse type person and stay to myself unless I’m reaching out to someone for the Lord. I never felt lonely, because when I watched Phyllis’ videos I felt like I was right there with her. She had a special talent of talking to her viewers as if she enjoyed every minute of the time she was with them. She’d say Y’all this or that and made everyone feel so special to be with her for that short video time. She and Mr. Bucky had so many hopes and dreams for their future. Knowing that they’re together and making each other happy really helps me. I’ve never been around a married couple that had such love and respect for each other. They just beamed with genuine love and happiness. I never had that in my life and I feel blessed to have seen that in Phyllis’ and Mr. Bucky. They’re gone but not forgotten. I think of them everyday.

Yes the world will be very different without Mrs. Stokes. OMG I am so sorry for your losses. Losing your mom and Bucky has been tough on all of us who have loved her so very much. I can't imagine how big the loss has to have been for your entire family. I kept coming back and checking the channel looking for her, waiting for her, praying for her daily. I believe that she would so love it for you to tell us stories of them both. I know how she made me feel and I felt like family. I will always miss her and treasure this channel that has been left behind. I use her recipes all the time. I know this had to have been a really rough CZcams video to make, and I can tell that you are your mother's son. My prayers will now be with you and the rest of your family. And my hope will be that I will see her again one day. It's so great that you were able to find a place for Steely and Sonny. I have tears running down my face as I type this, I've been watching your mom's videos down here in New Zealand and became very attached to her darling ways, remarks and her lovely personality. Bless you all, I truly feel a great sense of loss but at least her suffering is over and her new journey begun. I've buried 3 of my own children and my mom so I know the pain of loss but be assured your mom will always be close in your heart. Love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

When I look at you and see the kindness in your eyes and the eloquent, modest way you spoke, I thought I am watching the best parts of who Phyllis was, represented in her son. I am not surprised to learn of your mom grilling the lawyer. Phyllis was always so precise and exacting and seemed to have a mind like a steel trap. I lost count of the number of tasks that people would pay a professional to do and Phyllis would explain how she learned to do it herself because she could. She was the best mix of intelligence and pragmatism. When I watched her videos she was entertaining but her encyclopedic knowledge that she shared also made Phyllis a teacher; the type of teacher that made you want to work extra hard to earn that A+. I appreciate the update about the dogs. They were an integral part of the family. You mother had what I would call a dry sense of humour; at least what she showed on CZcams. She did a series of Steely Talks videos that were so funny. I would re-watch them and they never got old. The timing of what she said always lined up perfectly with Steely's facial expressions and Sunny's antics. It was magic to watch. Then there was the banter between your mom and Bucky that left little doubt about the depth of their love and partnership. We will all shuffle off this mortal coil but it is so hard to say goodbye. There is something very beautiful about how humans, especially the ones that lay bare their true authentic selves, can touch the hearts of so many that they have never met in person; like your mom and Bucky, their presence becomes intransient and remains. Thank you for sharing.

I must admit, this has hit me harder than I could ever imagine. I did not know Miss Phyllis personally however, she helped me through the toughest time in my life. I found Miss Phyllis and Mr Bucky innocently enough when searching for a recipe that my mother requested I make for her, see she was dying of lung cancer and I was taking care of her. Soon after I lost her and while I was still fresh with grief, I remembered Miss Phyllis and searched out her you tube channel again. I binge watched her and Mr Bucky and became comforted by her stories and her "arguments" with Mr Bucky. That was a few years ago. You Mother was such a comfort and I hope and pray that you find comfort knowing that she made such a difference in ordinary peoples lives. God bless you and nothing would make me happier than to see you adding to her you tube legacy.

I found Miss Phyllis around the time of my mother's death as well. The first video I watched she was talking about her own mother. She will be sorely missed.
I only just met Phyllis...moments ago in her lime jello and cream cheese frugal dessert...and the onion pie, which I haven't finished watching yet. Phyllis presented the most honest and direct youtube experience I've ever had. She knows now how grateful people are to have known her, and how grateful we all are to you and all the family for keeping her with us. We hope (I feel safe in saying "we") that one or more of her children will take up her calling and keep her style and her channel cookin' large.

Cathy Blasco so sorry for your loss. My husband passed away from cancer they found it in his liver and they said it started in his pancreas. It was a stage 4 when diagnosed so I know what you are going through.
I'll always remember your mom, she is a very intelligent, sharp and impressive woman. She's reunited with Mr. Bucky and completely healed and full of joy where she is now. She has met God 🙌 and is more alive then we are down here. My love goes out to Steeley and Sonny ... i started watching her my freshman year of highschool at 14 and im about to turn 19 in college. i used to listen to her videos while doing my work. i felt so connected to her like we were friends. im so sad to hear this 2 years later. i will always remember phyllis as she felt like family. rest in paradise ill love you forever.
To Phyllis’s family and friends, My heart goes out to all. I recently found her show and loved her immediately and her food also. Her food and her Kitchen reminds me of the summers I spent with my Grandparents in East Texas. My Grandmother was not biological related but no one would ever have known. My Grandmother was a wonder cook just like Phylis. My Grandmother has been gone a very long time I still miss her so much, I will Phylis too.

This still breaks my heart, I know she went home and Mr. Bucky was standing at Heaven's Gates with Jesus Christ to welcome her home. I find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain and that she is looking down on us with a smile. Yes the world will be very different without Mrs. Stokes. OMG I am so sorry for your losses. Losing your mom and Bucky has been tough on all of us who have loved her so very much. I can't imagine how big the loss has to have been for your entire family. I kept coming back and checking the channel looking for her, waiting for her, praying for her daily. I believe that she would so love it for you to tell us stories of them both. I know how she made me feel and I felt like family. I will always miss her and treasure this channel that has been left behind. I use her recipes all the time. I know this had to have been a really rough CZcams video to make, and I can tell that you are your mother's son. My prayers will now be with you and the rest of your family. And my hope will be that I will see her again one day. It's so great that you were able to find a place for Steely and Sonny. And I'm so grateful they were there to give her the comfort that she needed. We just don't know what his plan for our lives. But the plan for her and for Bucky was to touch us all, I am sure of that. I have tears running down my face as I type this, I've been watching your mom's videos down here in New Zealand and became very attached to her darling ways, remarks and her lovely personality. Bless you all, I truly feel a great sense of loss but at least her suffering is over and her new journey begun. I've buried 3 of my own children and my mom so I know the pain of loss but be assured your mom will always be close in your heart. Love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’d like to thank you for coming on and facing all of her followers, she was truly a celebrity, so considerate of you to reach out and talk with us. By now through all these posted comments, you must realize how your mom touched so many lives with her way of cooking, and how much she will be missed. May God comfort you and yours through your time of loss, but rest assured she is in heaven enjoying her new life and spreading her cheer with others still.

When I look at you and see the kindness in your eyes and the eloquent, modest way you spoke, I thought I am watching the best parts of who Phyllis was, represented in her son. I am not surprised to learn of your mom grilling the lawyer. Phyllis was always so precise and exacting and seemed to have a mind like a steel trap. I lost count of the number of tasks that people would pay a professional to do and Phyllis would explain how she learned to do it herself because she could. She was the best mix of intelligence and pragmatism. When I watched her videos she was entertaining but her encyclopedic knowledge that she shared also made Phyllis a teacher; the type of teacher that made you want to work extra hard to earn that A+.
I appreciate the update about the dogs. They were an integral part of the family. You mother had what I would call a dry sense of humour; at least what she showed on CZcams. She did a series of Steely Talks videos that were so funny. I would re-watch them and they never got old. The timing of what she said always lined up perfectly with Steely's facial expressions and Sunny's antics. It was magic to watch. Then there was the banter between your mom and Bucky that left little doubt about the depth of their love and partnership.
We will all shuffle off this mortal coil but it is so hard to say goodbye. There is something very beautiful about how humans, especially the ones that lay bare their true authentic selves, can touch the hearts of so many that they have never met in person; like your mom and Bucky, their presence becomes intransient and remains.

I must admit, this has hit me harder than I could ever imagine. I did not know Miss Phyllis personally however, she helped me through the toughest time in my life. I found Miss Phyllis and Mr Bucky innocently enough when searching for a recipe that my mother requested I make for her, see she was dying of lung cancer and I was taking care of her. Soon after I lost her and while I was still fresh with grief, I remembered Miss Phyllis and searched out her you tube channel again. I binge watched her and Mr Bucky and became comforted by her stories and her "arguments" with Mr Bucky. That was a few years ago. You Mother was such a comfort and I hope and pray that you find comfort knowing that she made such a difference in ordinary peoples lives. God bless you and nothing would make me happier than to see you adding to her you tube legacy.

I so understand your grief over losing your mother; the loss of my own mother was greatly comforted by watching Phyllis’s videos. Her soothing voice and gentle personality were a balm for my grief. i started watching her my freshman year of highschool at 14 and im about to turn 19 in college. i used to listen to her videos while doing my work. i felt so connected to her like we were friends. im so sad to hear this 2 years later. i will always remember phyllis as she felt like family. rest in paradise ill love you forever.

I was thinking about her alot last week, and tried to check for any updates. Her and Mr. Bucky were soulmates. You could clearly see that in the videos. I praise God she is no longer suffering.
