A lot of people assumed in comments that I am asking spintires as a replacement to Snowrunner which is not true. I want it as a seperate alternative for OG players like myself.
I know this may be unrelated, but I'm not too sure about how I feel about the text to speech voice that you have implemented in you latest videos.
I personally prefer videos without them and only have text to read, but I can get used to it if I have to.
I've spent around 80 hours playing Snowrunner before I picked up Spintires and Im not coming back. The driving is so much more satisfying. Its great to see more videos on Spintires and the voiceover is great! Love your channel.
Ссылка на Дискорд не рабочая.
what is voice you use in editing program ?
please inform oovee studio and saber interactive to bring the game back to steam
In spintyres the weight of the trucks is more realistic and the physics are more realistic, in snowrunner they are like toys. Snowrunner wins only with graphics and variety.
I can't comment whats realistic or what not but personally I like the feel of spintires and Mudrunner trucks
How many russian trucks have you gone logging in??
@@whitworthlime8793 In order to know the physics of trucks, you don’t have to drive them, it’s enough to study at school
Speaking of realistic, I find it Mud/Snowrunner too vivid with colors
I like Spintires atmosphere more, except the fog at night
if snowrunner trucks physics are made to be like spintires, many people will forget about spintires, well mostly as this is the biggest downside in snowrunner at the moment ?
The saddest thing about spintires is that this year will be its 10th anniversary, but since spintires got abandoned there will possibly not happen anything...
😢
spintires never was abandoned the original creator still makes DLCS
and where are those DLCs or even the game itself
@@SD1ONE they arent common but the original creator still makes dlcs.
@@ammartinplays ??? Pavel left spintires long ago
Its sad that its been four years since removal and Spintires still hasn't gained any traction on returning to Steam, or sale anywhere else. And Steam keys for the game and DLC are running out. Hopefully it can return someday, or someone can pick up the concepts and make a new game with the heart of Spintires at its center.
the developer and publisher broke up, that's why mudrunner was released in the first place
It returning is complicated and unlikely to happen. Pavel Zagrebelnyj made Spintires and Oovee published it. It's Oovee's only game which was a hit with fans and cemented as a cult classic for sim games, and Pavel left on very sour terms. Pavel is now working at Saber Interactive, and has gone on to be a part of Mudrunner, Snowrunner, and Frontiers. If anyone wants to pick Spintires back up, they would have to legally work with Oovee. I've seen landmines far more discreet than that. Our best bet is a competitor with a different name from a different dev and pub.
But didnt oovee release dlc post split? Is there anyway to get some of that? Silmilarish mods maybe?@@FurryWrecker911
I still have spintires on my PC. It will never leave! 😭
If anyone is selling Spintires DLCs, I am buying.
That frame flexing is also dig thing in my eyes the trucks in SR look and act like RC toys
I mean, the frame flex in SR feels more real tbh, like trucks actually needing a reason to bend, and it is achieved through rough impacts, or being overly heavy
Exactly
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 there... is no frame flexing in SR
either that or I've just never seen it it's so rare
@@jesush.christ8261 There is some; I've found the ford clt 9000 with the cab over frame is quite evident to frame flex when going over uneven terrain.
Try going on an angle through a ditch. Thats the best example youll see about frame flex regarding a medium truck, because the heavies and superheavies don't bend as well because they need to be stronger
the deal-breaker for me was the missing chassis flex.
it's a shame we don't have a game with the variety of gameplay like SR, but the physics of ST/MR
SR has that flex just not for all vehicles...bandit is best example of that flex.
The OG spintires has its own beauty..despite having snowrunner I still play mudrunner and spintires more because these games are simple..Snowrunner has too many maps and objectives which are not easy to go through
yes, I also miss the simplicity of old games...I am fine with less objectives but quality objectives which don't interfare with game physics too much.
@@SD1ONE agreed..also the environment with old soviet trucks is just on another level..I just wished that they could have made the Expeditions by using the old trucks and environment from mudrunner or spintires which could become a better competitor to snowrunner
I just hope they'll resolve the ownership dispute :(( Game really kicked off again and boom, pulled off steam right after. Something about an ownership dispute between Oovee and Saber, im not too well informed on it.
Love the video and points you made. Thanks for the voice overs hated reading all the points in your other videos
Many things that Spintires had could and should have been implemented into SR. I agree that pacing of the game is now higher than it was in Spintires and disbalance between trucks is becoming bigger by the day (new Yamal is a good example for comparison and pretty cool, but useless Twinsteer). And I had mentioned under one of your videos, the addons they are creating are sloppy. A good example is the new crane on Kenworth. Take a look on how ridiculously it is mounted. And guess what? If you dig into XMLs of their truck files, they do seem to have a lot of ideas, but they tend to be cut right before release? Example, KamAz Arctic. Did you know they had a unique cargo bed which is present in real-life model designed for it but opted out for standard 2-slot?
Yes, I did saw pics of those cut features like antarctic bed and other unfinished things in xml files....It looks like the pressure of putting out 4 major updates a year is getting to devs....Game is on like 8 platforms so that doesn't help either.
don't call the Twinsteer useless
@@vladvulcan It is a beast in it's own field, but if you compare to newer trucks, regrettably it is outmatched and by a lot.
@@Sklefasovsky it's never outmatched, since no other truck can carry 4 slots without a trailer. Until the FEMM arrives.
@@vladvulcan It's debatable :) If we only go by platform length, yes, this is the only truck that can have 4 slots and have a turn radius like Venus orbit, but unless you mod the XML, it can't even attach a trailer. So you are indeed limited to single 4-slot delivery with autoload option only. However, if you hitch a 5-slot semi to, say mAz 612, you will get a higher capacity with higher manoeuvrability and with a, useless as it may be, manipulator crane. Again, I am not diminishing TS, all I am saying it is overshadowed by newer trucks. At the time of release, few of the trucks had the engine as good as TS has, and poor GMC and WhiteStar could barely pull themselves in not so deep mud whereas TS was rocking, especially in AWD. Now you have Kolob, 605R, Derry, and the very same new Kenny and old fuel troglodyte 5600TS which in many aspects outperform TS. Regrettably.
Respect bro for this video, I miss SpinTires
Spintires and Mudrunner has a more interesting system when you play with steering wheel, here you need to know how to use the clutch, because if you change gear without it, the truck take damage. Also, you have the control of the gears, you can use first when you want or third when you want. In Snowrunner... you can use only Low -, Low, Low +, H, Auto, N, and reverese. If you want drive with a specific speed, maybe in second gear, you can't do it because the game doesn't let you select the gear you want, and if you try to drive at 30km/h for example, the automatic gear It will start to go up and down because the script doesn't understand what you want to do. And if you don't use clutch, nothing happens, there is no penalty for not using it, like an automatic transmission...
honestly, from my experience with MudRunners, playing with a steering wheel is absolutely terrible, and the way clutch works is terribly unrealistic, FFB is very bland, I was hyped to test it with a wheel when I got mine because I really enjoy MR, but its a game clearly meant to be played with a keyboard, and its still super fun to play it with a keyboard. So I wouldnt really mind SR having a worse wheel support because it was never really meant to be played with one, but what hurts me is that SR is pretty much a downgrade from MR and ST in nearly every way except graphics
Yep, the force ffb is weird (that's why I never activated it in both games haha) but in my case it doesn't matter, is more "easy" to drive a 900° setting. The problem is when you're trying to "roleplay" while driving in Snowrunner. In my opinion, the MudRunner's clutch system should be in the Snowrunner at least like a option in the menu settings because it is a game "better" than the 2017 one. But it is what it is. 😪
Bardzo dobry film, miło było by zobaczyć kontynuację Spintires ! Mimo, że posiadam Snowrunner i Mudrunner zawsze wybieram Spintires -już od 10 lat :)
Hi. I fully support the SD1ONE !
I just hope Spintires comes back onto Steam. I'd buy all the DLC for it as well
Sadly it will never happen...
It's one of the best videos I've watched so far. A competitor for SnowRunner would be welcome, especially based on SpinTires. I think the next Runner series has the potential for a way better game than SnowRunner in terms of mechanics and simulation.
Nah, Expeditions is more of a spin-off not main runner entry.
Nice video! As always! And I like that you are now talking!
As for the spintires. Yes, It is sad that the game got removed from the Steam. Could be interesting is someone could continue its development.
Just for you to know it’s an ai voice
It’s a cool addition tough
That's all I am wishing for...over these years I get why SR feels like the way it is and I've no issues with that, Its the comprimise we have to accept for good graphics and mission variety but spintires could co-exist as a seperate game to people like me who enjoy that authentic feel.
@@Rechercher damn, I thought it was real)
Граю цю серію ще з 2013 року, і в плані фізики SpinTires найближче до раельності.
SnowRunner то графіка та геймплей, але не реалістична фізика.
Дякую за гарне відео! 👍
SpinTires forever in my heart ❤️
That’s what’s wrong with SR it looks like RC cars. Spintires forever
Excellent explanation of the differences between both games. I recently re-loaded Spintires and can appreciate the difference but both games are a lot of fun!
yes, I play all 3 games and like all of them...I think both SR and ST should exist in parallel with different devs...It would only benifit the community.
Glad to see your still making videos SD! Have loved your MudRunner content since I was a kid, keep doin what your doin legend!
Edit: btw after buying snowrunner I instantly went back to MudRunner, I think it’s a disservice to the franchises name, and a joke of a game.
The weight and terrain issues are probably the biggest ones for me. I generally don't use scouts because the moment they hit deep mud they are stuck fast while the bigger trucks can at least keep digging usually even with less than perfect tire choice. Overall I like both games and through modding and editing I have been able to create the experience that I prefer which at the end of the day I think we all should be grateful to be able to do.
awesome video. i didn't know the trucks in spintires (like the Zikz 612H) was perfectly balanced compared to SR.
thanks for the info.
It wasn't as OP as SR but it still was kind of OP compared to other spintires truck but still realistically it should be a capable truck.
No please dont use ai voices.
Spintires goat. Snowrunner toy game.
Having played all 3, while models for russian trucks are better snowrunner overall better game imho
SR is good and honesly a different game and it should exist as such but spintires also didn't need to die....we should have an alternative to SR.
@@SD1ONE Spintires dying really hurt. All the possibilities just went to dust. Hopefully we'll get something in the future that builds on what Spintires aimed to achieve.
@@whitworthlime8793I agree. Some of us thought Snowrunner will be the advanced Spintires with all the content, graphics and UI elements. If only they just retained the formula from first game, but I guess consoles limitations didn't allow that.
@@kak8895 in an ideal world we would have got mudrunner with more American content and better graphics. The physics in snowrunner are by no means bad just....different. most of my enjoyment comes from the variety of missions and trucks that spintires couldn't offer. Spintires will always be the OG where it all started and for the memories it will be the best.
I really miss presplit SpinTires, it was such An amazing game. I never played the game post split and I wish I could buy it on steam
I think they were going in a good direction with latest updates. They rewrote mud simulation so that throttle control became a real gameplay mechanic. It would have benefited a few more updates but thats when it got delisted sadly...
bruh, steam key is around 5€ from 3rd party sites
Finally a voice! I love it!
The number one thing i wanted to see was tracked vehicles and the possibility of clearing the tracks with construction equipment, there used to be some awesome experiment mods for spin tires along that vain of though
Tracked vehicles were always a problem for game engine...they were somewhat workable in ST & MR but In SR engine they are even more hard to get working....lets hope they resolve those issues for next main entry.
Clearing tracks like we could build our own for example log bridges over mud pits? Would love to do that. Any route has anoying spots and I'd happily invest the time to fix them.
Basically what I see here is
Snow runner: realistic graphics
Spin tires: realistic physics
Spintires with new graphics and new maps is what we want
Detail matters. Now I know why I stuck so much in SR. There are countless stuck in deep mud no matter what gear I am in, but to successfully escape only to use winch every time.
Amazing comparison video as always!
The only question I have is about the pictures that you showed as plans for SpinTires. Where did you find them? Are they mods or photos from the developer as a sneak peak?
They're from devs so not mods...I get them from a person who're respected member of this community and know a lot about game history.
@@SD1ONEreally? Thats cool! Thanks for the answer.
Regarding reused assets: most Soviet trucks (especially in military) share the same headlights and likely many other parts for repairability purposes (this even extends to present day models like ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/МАЗ-6317)
I have no issue with reusing if its done in a sensible way...the way SR did it is little too much imo.
great video and i agree with you 100% ... the only thing missing in mudrunner is realistic cockpit view and mirrors and it will be the best truck driving simulator game
this is spintires btw...it doesnt even had cockpit view
Great material. I didn't know that Spintires also had a tire pressure DLC! I totally agree, the cars are better balanced there. Now in Snowrunner on these last maps almost every truck is OP.
Ural DLC is very cool, sadly, keys for this dlc are all sold out. Also, tire pressure in Spintires is an update for game itself, so it's available without this DLC
Yeah.. there are many trucks that are basically a cheat because they'll drive over everything and all you do is keep throttle stomped and steer
You're right about PC only games being innovative. The moment anything drops on console it begins to stagnate/devolve.
The limitation is not particularly because of the limited hardware the console companies themselves...they have a lot of say in game mechanics from what I heard.
@@SD1ONEMakes sense. You just gave me another solid reason to never purchase a console no matter how cheap. And I'd rather not enter the loop hole of subscribing to play online when I already pay for internet.
This proves why a lot of racing/driving games are stagnating.
@@kak8895not the case 100% of the time. GTA online for example is a disaster on PC while console is for the most part solid. Even better graphics (without mods)
I Would love drive the unfinished vehicles, How sad that they didnt had time to release them
great video. i wish spintires wasn't delisted! only played a little bit of both mudrunner and snowrunner
Playing Spintires I had the best moments of feeling "oh no, I'm in trouble, where is the nearest second vehicle, do I have enought fuel to rescue ?, does the second vehicle may stuck also ?, which route should I take... First I must survive, then payload". When playing snowrunner it was all time like "keep pressing W, oh, nice looking Aurora"
First of all, credentials: I have played about 350 hours in SpinTires, about 480 hours in MudRunner, and more than 1,500 hours in SnowRunner. You can say I love the franchise. All the points you make are fair. I especially agree regarding the confusing amount of tyres in SnowRunner compared to its predecessors, and about truck weight and handling. However for me, the two most frustrating things in SpinTires have been:
1. Its crude and awkward user interface. Lots of fiddling with the mouse when a keyboard shortcut would have been much better (e.g. releasing the winch, starting/stopping the engine, and other things that are way better in SnowRunner). And don't get me started on that manual clutch.
2. It is often TOO slow-paced an experience. SpinTires often seems much more focused on the physics simulation aspect (trucks and terrain behaviour) than to provide a more polished gameplay. The way trucks struggle in deep terrain is a joy to behold compared to SnowRunner, but when you cover 200 in-game meters in 20 minutes, it just becomes tedious. SnowRunner has moments like these, too, but they're not as heavy-handed. That's because they're compensated by having stronger trucks that pick up their pace when they're not stuck. In SpinTires, even in the best conditions, trucks sometimes feel _too_ slow, like you're driving with the handbrake on.
For these reasons, it's clear to me that SpinTires is closer to being a simulation sandbox, while SnowRunner is closer to being a more structured game. And consequently SpinTires feels more realistic, while SnowRunner feels more 'arcade'. I honestly believe that MudRunner is a good compromise between the two, and it's the one I enjoy returning to when I'm not playing SnowRunner. If MudRunner had more than logging, it would be really cool. Fortunately modders have produced lots of fun maps to explore and conquer.
This was a great video, anyway. Not sure how I feel about the AI voice, but the narration was interesting. Cheers! //Rick
why I like spintires is because of its innovations which cant be possible in SR as its too big for such big changes now...wish SR has different PC version for experimentations
Imo snowrunner has intentionally made the driving/mudding simulation less realistic to make the game easier and more accessible to players.
Spintires is kinda extremely hard at times.
Nice and honest review❤. After a couple of hundred hours in Snowrunner and seeing Expeditions is not my cup of tea I've decided to give another opportunity to spintires and Mudrunner... And what a change! I didn't remember such a good physics. I've noticed as you say in the video that spintires is for no longer in Steam so I can't find and buy the DLCs for spintires. I own all the DLCs for Mudrunner and Snowrunner (despite I haven't played to Mudrunner for more than 20 hours). I really would like to give it a try to both first games now, but I don't now how to get Chernobyl and all DLCs from Spintires. Some advice or option?
I never played ST but the difference is very noticeable also between MR and SR.
Thats kind of sad tbh. SR with hardcore physics would be fantastic.
excellent video. Spintires - one love!
And only real models of cars from the Soviet Union remained in Spintires. In mudrunner and snowrunner, the developers mutilated the models to avoid copyright issues (since they did not buy licenses to use the models in the game).
I don't think even spintires had access to licences but because it was an indi game...so they were less prone to lawsuits than decently bigger dev like saber.
Photos at the end were more upsetting than everything i've seen in my life. 😢
You persuad me to play Spintires. I used to play Snowrunner, finish a few regions, but got bored.
can't believe I managed to buy this game for dirt cheap on Steam as it was on sale a few years ago before it got delisted. Shame I wasn't able to get any of the DLC it had, but at least mods exist :)
hello, these videos you make are great. Do you use a mouse to control the gear stick? It looks much more precise than when I try it on controller. Also I would like to join your discord but the link says it has expired. Thank you.
you can assign keys on the keyboard to quickly shift gear without pressing & holding shift key...I assigned num pad buttons in accordance with gear shifter, I'll look into the link... thanks
@@SD1ONE Sorry I should have clarified in my message that I was wondering about the Spintires gameplay rather than SnowRunner. When you are changing the low gear speed with the gear stick in Spintires, it looks like you are able to make very precise adjustments.
glad I have it before it got taken down
I agree with the weights if the trucks the most. Snowrunner would be way way better if the trucks didn't bounce around so much , especially when in mud or snow.
Also the performance gap is very real, they can't nerf vehicles in the game, but they have tried buffing some highway trucks with awd and suspension unlocks.
I always liked driving low tier trucks in mudrunner and taking my time doing missions, feels like real life.
From a business standpoint, Snowrunner devs are geniuses: They saw a game genre not very touched in the market, that caught the eye of many who liked it, made a very good looking copy with way simpler mechanics to atract a larger playerbase and making them feel powerful to keep buying overpowered DLCs. Kinda like what happens (in my opinion) which space engineers. Such a good looking game and fun to play for the experienced fellas, but SO DAMN COMPLEX i doubt the average adult gamer could grasp it even after a week. And i myself must admit, simple space exploration games like Astroneer caught my eye way better.
You can modify Spintires files by your own and make it more realistic or make the game longer. I added all tire types to all trucks (except if the tires are not good lookin, too small or too big) also added cart for long and medium logs to all trucks (same exceptions as tires I applied for this too) and at last i made loading logs to require full body with logs (small - 20 pcs, meduim - 10 or 15 pcs, long - 10 pcs). When you load small logs you get 1 point loaded instead of 2 originally, meduim get 3 points instead of 4, long get 4 points instead of 6.
You can also apply these things to mod trucks you installed.
Is there any way to restore stock K-700 in spintires 2020 version...I miss it in game
This does not make the game more modern, the fact that it can be modified gives it life
@@SD1ONE What's the difference? You can return it only if you need the old version of the game.
@@SD1ONE As far as i know stock K 700 has no add-ons, but you can try to find a mod of the original one with some add-ons like in Mudrunner.
Most of the mods are not very vanilla friendly, different steering, weight feels like in snowrunner.
@@SD1ONE Also i can search, if i find something i will send link here.
Congratulations on one of your very best videos. At the part "Truck Weight" I instantly understood what you mean. This is one of my main complains in Snowrunner. But sadly I'm very sure we will never see a Spintires 2 alone by the fact that it has russian roots. It's a shame the developer and the publisher didn't get along and the game was removed at the end.
They really had to put all the mechanics into snowrunner from past games, it will be like nostalgia combined with the new generation
Original Spintires, not the mudrunner!, is just amazing! The driving experience there felt like trucks were struggling, but they were cappable.of doing job. And reaching destination through woods and not roads felt rewarding
The missing vehicle and cargo weight was my main issue with snowrunner. After finishing Armur, the game felt boring, repetitive and gave me no sense of challenge.
That's when I decided to give the real life mod a try, and man does it make the game feel better. But I can see why it's not in the vanilla game. With that jump in difficulty most casual players wouldn't have made it to Smithville dam.
the spin tires games are the only game series that Iv known off to secretly put a ticking time bomb into there game
5:19 also that is a MAZ-7313 if anyone didn't know
I wish and wait for comeback spintires I really miss him😢
6:40 The weight is the result of many things done in the right realistic way, I often find myself unconsciously pressing very very hard the keyboard to compensate some hard terrain or some tilting on the spintires trucks, where on spintires I feel like the trucks are made of paper. And sadly, they went for the same arcadish feeling for Expeditions, they call it a "MudRunner" game, but it is more a SnowRunner game, it has nothing to do with MudRunner, MudRunner have similar physics to Spintires, only missing the Tire Inflation system I think
I am so sad that I was unable to purchase the china adventure, and I've seen many sites selling the key for up to 500 USD 😕
Since I played Expeditions preview so I think they tried to improve physics a little in Expedition...they reduce trucks power which result in them feeling little sluggish and thus heavier...also the suspension used there is softer rock crawler one which makes them less bouncy...so they're listning and trying to improve...I mean sure they can't go back MR or ST level but they're trying atleast...although I still don't agree with the vehicle mods, etc they choose for Expeditions as it gives it more arcade feel
I hope spinter will see this post
Please do a comparison vid fir the cat ct681 and the cat ct680
What service do you use for the AI voice if I may ask?
In Snowrunner, high gear kicking in and launching a huge truck in speed in rough terrain, like a rocket, is ridiculous...
100% agree with everything said
Adding this after I have everything typed out, but in 4 weeks another mudrunner game is coming out so I guess we'll see what that has to offer but its already tainted by corporate greed bullshit like preorder early unlocks
Snowrunner has a lot to offer but it falls flat with the core of the game, It feels mechanically worse especially with the core of the game the mud and snow physics. Handling of the vehicles feels awful, when you're going full speed on pavement with a highway truck its easy to see and feel what I mean. I wish Mudrunner or Spintires had the career mode snowrunner has and that would be perfect. They are both beautiful games especially when its foggy but I'll admit it I think Snowrunner has them beat because in the first map in the swamp near the dam tunnel, on a foggy night just sitting there feels so atmospheric, especially with the nature sounds.
Also spintires works with ffb wheel well.
I wouldn't have thought so many people are still interested in SpinTires after so many years, but I can definitely see why. I loved the game back in 2014, I managed to complete all maps on hardcore and I even remember installing a snow mod at some point. The latest version is still worth playing, if you can find it. So much more sense of accomplishment compared to SnowRunner.
the whole spintires "fallout/scam" thing was very disappointing. I was an original backer of the game and I never got my "physical copy" that I pledged for... Game had so much potential but it never came to face...
Snowrunner: боишься получить урон от деревьев, домов, зданий, бордюров, камней, веток/ камней на дорогах...
SpinTires: Боишься НАВСЕГДА потерять грузовик на дне реки
Imagine the world where Voroshilovettes added to the game (8:14), i would sell my house if that means i can go to that world
I agree with everything you said, except one thing. I like MudRunner more, mostly because it was my introduction to the series. :P
Well I never said anything about MR in this video... at least nothing negative....Spintires was my introduction to the series so that's nostalgic for me.
@@SD1ONE Exactly. Like I said, I agree with everything you said, except that I personally just like MR more. Everything else you said was completely true.
Yo lo tengo en Steam pero cuando lo descargo solo me sale un mapa sin más, pagué por ese juego, que tengo que hacer para poder jugarlo con normalidad?
I agree with you
How did you get spintires i have been looking but all i found was a bit sketchy cd key site and from the rumours i have heard that version was savotaged due to the dev falling out with the publisher
spintires have a controversial history which I covered in separate video...I got it before it got delisted from steam...
is there a way to get spin tires before it was mudrunner
Great comparison! Spintires is not only better than SnowRunner but also better than MudRunner, it has nicer visuals, better LOD, and better mud representation. After the 1.7 update Spintires returned as my favorite one.
no way finally voice and not reading by my self
I love the details they put to Spintires and Mudrunner most of the features are absent in Snowrunner :(
Maybe when they fix the save issues
Snowrunner sadly only seems to have two speeds: almost anything will drive through it and hyper mud that makes you crawl in low no matter what. And every map seems to be designed to have hypermud pits in crucial parts, so that you are basically relegated to mud tires everywhere, unless you want to go make tea, as you put a weight down on your W key for 15 minutes as the truck glacially crawls through the damn mud pit blocking every sensible road. It's so frustrating after a while
Snowrunner is just more Arcadey and the creativity just feels like its empty now. Spintures on the other hand, man it was something. If only I can redownload it today.
Spintires and mudrunner deserve a better soundtrack
I haven't had the luck to play Spintyres, but I payed Mudrunner and I can comfortably say that it is a more realistic game than Snowrunner, while Snowrunner is more varied, so to each his own I believe.
Although, I believe Snowrunner is slowly improving. For example, I don't really remember the trucks having a clearly visible chassis flex, but recently I've been noticing it on some trucks.
Also, nowadays even the most powerful trucks struggle on the slightest inclines when laden.
Overall, I hope that Spintyres return and Snowrunner improve.
Could not agree more. Trucks and physics in spin tires are just miles better
I enjoyed Spintires when it came out but it always felt like more of a tech demo than a game, while the physics were definitely better in Spintires, SnowRunner feels like a much more complete gameplay experience.
agreed but don't you think innovation should continue... sure a proper gameplay based game should also exist but so does a game which showcases all the innovation...
@@SD1ONE agreed 100% I hope one day the developers can combine the strengths of both games
I hope Spintires comes to more platforms in the future, if a base PS4 can run Mudrunner without issues I don't see why a PS5 couldn't run Spintires
I am not against consoles but I feel they kind of kill innovation in games as both sony & microsoft has lot of standards to maintain and they won't allow experimental stuff...so spintires should only be PC only or atleast has a different PC version with all experimental stuff.
Finnishing something in snowrunner is like doing your homework, its annoying, takes a lot of time and it doesnt feel rewarding
Finnishing something in spintires is like cooking a meal, although it can take longer, it feels much more rewarding, since you have to be more carefull, and taking shortcuts is a much bigger risk
and i feel like theres only like 2 types of players,
the OGs, and the kids, and i feel like theyre making it for them, to not get bored,
its nice to have options, i like that, painting the truck to maybe match the addon? i really like that, beefy front bumper? i like, give it to me, but sometimes its overdone or underdone, no middle ground
oh and i really like the audio effect of wheelspin, snowrunner is missing that
overall verdict from me is:
Snowrunner: 5/10
(i like slot cargo and the graphics, and bit of truck customization, but id rather have gameplay over high graphics)
Mudrunner: 7/10
(challanges are an interesting idea, too dull when it comes to colours, lacks bit of content, reused maps from spintires)
Spintires: 8/10
(since you cant get much DLCs for it, its a shame, the game is nice, updated colours are a perfect touch)
Wait, spintires was pulled of off the steam store?
Spin tires was king, The trucks and add ons looked way better, it was so much harder and much more enjoyable because of that, as you said hauling long logs was the ultimate challenge and could take a couple of hours to do so, I think they had to make snow runner easier for the kids on playstation and xbox which is a pity
Spintires was a game aimed at a narrow group of players, which resulted in more realistic and demanding gameplay. Snowrunner is still demanding, but more arcade-like and intended for a larger number of players. Anyway I love both of these games.
Thats why I said I want ST as an alternative for that small group because I know SR can't go back to old ways as it won't make that much money...SR should exist as seperate game but for new innovations, experiments, etc..A game like ST should exist.
I wish there was a mod that mixes Spintires and Mudrunner together, because Spintires has so many features never made to Mudrunner and Mudrunner has other many features that Spintires didn't had, so mixing these games would result in proper Spintires: Mudrunner title.
lol... spintires mudrunner was the title for Mudrunner before saber v oovee lawsuit... this whole mixing won't be needed if the split would not have happened..
it is rather unfortunate i cant buy spintires now
that being said does anyone have a copy to use?
where did you install the spintires original game? i need to install it please
you need to download it through some questionable websites and then drop it in your steam library...it might work but try at your own risk
@@SD1ONE i asked where did u install
@@SD1ONE or u did get it before it was removen
@@3pHeW Ofcourse, it's the only way
in my opinion mudrunner is the best of both worlds in some regards
Soon these games are gonna have little characters that dance along with battlepasses
This game deserves second chance, because this game is most relacing and hardcore than MudRunner and Snowrunner excepting snow maps, and i want to have full collection of offroad games
Can't say i disagree, i love Snowrunner and i think it improved ALOT over previous iterations but i would love if they added the preassure system and that preassure system made all the vehicles that sink and are useless to be useable like in the old Spintires, i still remember playing it and wanting the big trucks but sticking with the original blue rwd truck simply because it was better for the job.
In Snowrunner you don't carefully choose the vehicles for the job, you pick the biggest most powerful truck and stick with it which is boring and leave other vehicles be totally useless.
I love Spintires. I still play and tried snow runner but thought it was meh by compare
I wanted to buy snowrunners, but then I played it on Gamepass and damn, the trucks felt like RC trucks, the game felt so dumbed down, filled with content that isnt really necessary, turned into a completely arcade game, it just threw me off so much, I decided to stay with just MudRunners lol
It feels like they decided to go "full-corporate" in snowrunners, making a game more acessible, faster paced, brighter, more colorful, with a lot of unlockable stuff, a lot of modifications that are cool tbh, but still, and a lot of currency management, to keep people playing for longer, sacrificed quality for quantitiy.
God, i want 3 independed games!!!
Spintires
Mudrunner
SnowRunner.
I do not want them all together runned as 1 games on the same engine, couse they feel and play so diifferently and it is so cool!!!
Not the tiktok dropshipper text to speech cmon man 💀
'See how it struggling on similair part of climb??'
